located on the picturesque and idyllic tokyo bay, shinagawa encapsulates a little of everything. with a great number of corporate buildings, it's easy to mistake it for a second business district, but it is actually often described as a centre for "european"-style business and tourism. there is more english than japanese on signs, and more italian and american restaurants than anywhere else in the city.
