Zubamon is a Digimon of few words. He rarely speaks unless he is either addressed first, or if the situation desperately requires his input. He is entirely aware of his purpose as Yun's partner and does little to deviate from this directive; Zubamon's only major concerns are fulfilling any orders given to him, and keeping his Tamer safe from harm. One might assume that Zubamon's personality is closer to that of a robot rather than anything remotely considered organic or living, but it is far more accurate to compare him to a sword: he is entirely neutral in essence, yet capable of bringing either salvation or destruction, based on the intentions of the one that guides his actions.[break][break]
It should be noted that Zubamon is not a figure inclined for casual conversation, in any sort of degree. Attempts to coax idle banter from him will be responded with a very uncomfortable amount of silence. |

Zubamon's precise history is never spoken of, if only because he simply cannot remember any major part of it. The only fragment of his past to survive exists in the form of his primary directive: to obey and fulfill the wishes of the Tamer he is destined to form a link between. All else is an obscure fog.[break][break]
His first distinguishable memory, in the truest sense of the phrase, is that of his emergence before the very person Zubamon was ordained to protect and serve: the gaming savant Yun Yoshimasa. Zubamon has asserted that Yun's sheer strength of resolve, achieved upon accepting his decision to fight against the grain of corruption and stand as a paragon of virtue for the sake of the common good, is what permits him to follow his main programming with the skill and ferocity his species is respected and feared for.[break][break]
Zubamon has currently spent a total of three years in servitude to Yun, acting as his soldier, sentinel, and scout for no reason other than to maintain and uphold the expectations ingrained into his programming. He never questions this objective, for it is also the basis of his beliefs as a warrior and as a knight. To serve Yun Yoshimasa is his one and only purpose in life, a mission he would gladly sacrifice himself to fulfill.
