Outside of this ideology, Chousen is a polite digimon who strives for fair matchups. While his ideology often advocates for fights to end in death, he is more than willing to engage in a friendly scrap as well, or to simply discuss. Calm and often hard to anger,
Chousen possesses a slightly dramatic side to himself, presenting himself as a noble warrior despite his rather tiny form. One could almost call him a chuunibyou by how he acts, although he does possess the skills to back his bravado up. Despite his politeness, Chousen possesses some troubles in socializing and making friends, due to feeling such things to be unnecessary. Still,

To take a life is to be the most powerful you can be. Chousen lives by such an ideal, the ideal that with the power to take a life, he has the potential to reach his highest power, and through such, his ultimate destiny, an enlightenment of sorts. He is no maniac, however: Chousen simply believes that battle is the ideal place for any being, and that everything outside of it is simply preparation for the next clash. After all, why would Digimon be born with the ability to take a life so easily if they were not made to fight others? Despite the massive difference in power levels, Chousen's master lasted for a commendable amount of time before being defeated and promptly deleted, leaving Chousen without a guide. His master's words, and through that his ideology, ran through Chousen's over and over the following night, only for him to embrace that destiny which had been taught to him. The following day, Chousen was gone, to wander the digital wastes in search of that perfection, an end point upon which he could end his ideological struggle. Perhaps, in this world where many other Digimon had been going to, he could finally find enough opponents to understand just what that end point was..
