The night over Shibuya at this hour was at an unusual calm, though this would not last for much longer. A large cloud seemed to materialize out of thin air, moving in a manner that seemed unusual weather-wise. The rogue fog was heading towards an in-progress construction zone about a mile away, the framework of a building and the abandoned construction tools that were being used to build the structure being all that was currently around. With how it was starting to slow down, it was clear to on-lookers that it seemed to be starting to settle down. Digivices were beeping frantically as the signal grew stronger, signaling that there was not much time before the bio-emerging Digimon would finally break the barrier between the Digital World and the human world. |

Although not a cryptic message, the young man didn't quite understand at first. Not like he'd never seen this before, just forgot over time, having not found a use for his own digivice as of late. Where did he even put the thing-- should probably check his house after tonight, probably in some junk drawer. Not that it was junk, just the safest place to hide such a device, calling it an old toy when anyone decided to take a look at it. Thank god no one ever asked him to explain where he got it or how it worked, that would take quite some mental fortitude to lie about. The object never made sense in the slightest, working when you needed it most but being otherwise useless most of the time.
Then came the word that put it together in his head, there was an active digimon bio-emerging right as they spoke. Things like this were quite a nuisance, exactly why the busters started up. The usual big middle finger is to get there before them and eliminate the threat posthaste. Honestly, they all did it, almost like a game to see which faction had racked up the most kills. Didn't partake very often, but being out of the game was making him a bit curious as to whether or not he should start again. There were benefits to doing it, don't get him wrong, just never thought of it as the right thing to do.
It was like putting a dying animal out of its suffering, but there was no way to tell what was causing this animal to die. Digimon weren't inherently allergic to their environment, but they were constantly being hunted by the three groups. Along with others, not every tamer decided to side with a faction, it was simply more common to. While contemplating his answer, Masaru was already halfway out the door, only making up his mind. What was the worse that could happen, he watches two digimon duke it out like he used to do? "Guess I'll be seeing you, uhh. . . Hinata, right?" With a simple goodbye, the socialite dashed right out the door to try and find his old acquaintance.
As he managed to run out the store, he could still hear his black-haired peer calling out to him. Could probably do more than keep up, but it'd been a while since the young man pushed himself to do more than basic cardio. Stamina must've gone to shit since then, should really do something about that if he was gonna be more active in the gang. Either way, keeping pace with him, they'd find their destination by following the directions given to them, at least one of them was doing that. Kimura just had to follow Masaru until they got to the thick fog of the newly emerged creature. They were usually bound to it until their body stabilized and was ready for the new world they entered.

Bioemergence was not a word that Hinata hears every now and then. "Wait, what?" He had a clue of what it was, but then again, no concrete definition came to mind. He was still in a state of confusion when Masaru rushed out of the store in a hurry, followed by Kimura. His eyes simply followed the two as they went, before a constant sound rang from the device on his hand. He heard it beeping before, but had paid no mind to it. Since Masaru had one too, he figured he must've known something about it.
"H-hey, wait up." Rattled, he decided to simply follow, taking out his Elecmon out of the bag and replacing him with the bag full of junk food he bought. If he knew he'd be running after someone, he wouldn't have bought a bottle of dew. Following the two from behind with an Elecmon on his arms, he went out the doors and towards their trail. Judging from where they're headed, the fog seemed to be the destination. Did Shibuya have these condensations of fog everywhere after night? Not that he remembered.

Feet pounding on the pavement he continued to run, eyes glued to the tracker on his digivice all the while manuevering around his three-dimensional environment. Once they were off the streets and the characteristic fog started to roll in, Masaru paused briefly to set his back down and open it up. By the time Kimura caught up, Taki had clambered out of the bag and was staring intently in the direction of the construction site. With a nod Masaru would start running again, Kimura easily keeping pace as he did while his digimon partner kept up just behind. Masaru could hear more commotion from behind, likely Hinata, but he had all faith that the kid wouldn't lose them. It was more important to corner the bioemerging digimon before it could flee into the narrow labyrinth of Shibuya-ku. And if the unusual focus of the typically easy-going Masaru was anything to go by, he took these matters seriously. He and his partner had been hunting down rogues for years. They ended up at the construction site, Masaru making his way over to some loose tools hanging around the deserted site. Certainly one of the more interesting areas for a duel: with a bit of hidden glee he surveyed the available weaponry. Saws and drills were lethal but entirely unsturdy; he settled for a nice classic shovel instead. Hinata Ueno Kimura Kyōryoku sopdet when the sun falls, then the moon lights might be a hell of a night

As everyone soon arrived at the site of the digital fog, it began to expand and shroud the area, the sound of steam hissing as it soon settled. While everything was clear inside the construction zone, it was impossible to see beyond it once inside. Soon enough a figure would soon seem to materialize in the center of the area. The Digimon in question was very small. It almost would have been easily mistaken for something like a Fresh or In-Training level if one were not familiar with it's species. The mammalian Digimon flapped into the air with the bat wing-like ears it had, the clinging onto the side of a red girder higher up before glancing at the group and their partners. The Patamon gazed at them with a blank, but intense look on it's face. While seemingly not attacking yet, it did appear to be in a position to counterattack if provoked further.

Continuing to follow Masaru, they soon passed a set of gates that had signs plastered all over it. They said 'hard hat area' and 'restricted access', the concrete turned into a soft, steady plot of dirt. A recent construction project had been going on here, with the start of building plans having been constructed from their plans. There were girders and machines, although it was steady enough for it to seem harmless right now. Hard to see what possible threats there could be in the area with this fog, but at they pushed further into it, the murky haze began to thin out. The young man understood that this always happened during a bioemergence but it still defied all expectations and physical laws.
Then again we're talking about strings of data taking form and blasting fire. The situation immediately threw out all semblances of their reality, rejecting it entirely as they got to the thick of it. Here they were, in the middle of a construction site, looking around to find just where this enemy was. It was actually kind of hard for him, having thought something much larger would be here. Instead, what his eyes locked on was a mammalian form with wings for ears. How did it manage to drag that fat, little body into the air with those ill-placed wings?
Honestly, this thing looked ridiculous, whatever it was. Kimura hadn't had his digivice on him, so he couldn't search up exactly what it was. Familiarity said he knew, but didn't want to give out an answer before he'd checked it first. Maybe it was some kind of decoy or lure, like what actually had came was similar to an angler fish. For now, however, he'd just play the hand he was dealt, "So uhh, this is the big threat? You've got this, Masaru, should be easy-pickings for someone like you." He didn't need the young mans praises, but he gave them so gratefully, deciding to sit on the sidelines for now.

Entering the construction site was an act of trespassing and should be avoided, as Hinata's judgement dictates. The male was panting as he reached them, tired from chasing after them with a heavy pack. Still, that was where the fog was, and with the two others going after it, he was willing to forego his discernment and follow suit to appease his curiosity. It was the middle of the night regardless, so chances of him getting caught was slim.
The sound of flapping could easily be heard once inside the construction site. The thick fog surrounded them, cutting them off from the outside, and amid the area was a digimon. Bringing up his digivice, it identified the creature as a Patamon. It was on the same level as his Elecmon, though that did not mean that it would act the same as the digimon he has.
Easy pickings? Hinata had not been familiar with the world of digimon, but he supposed they are advertised as creatures to fight others with. The ones without tamers were supposed to be fought for experience or something game related, he supposed. If he was to liken this to any game, it would mean that it wasn't good to steal other's kills. Hinata decided to watch Masaru act first before making decisions of his own, unsure of the protocols concerning digimon.
