"Other encounters sans her... There was a lad. Almost sickly looking, now that I ponder upon him some more. I met him at the same time I met the lady over yonder." His head is nudged towards Kaida before he continues. "The runt was dragged along by his partner. Some little goblin of a Vemmon. Little bastard tried to attack us, but we managed to make it run away before any serious harm was done to... Either of us." Hisan'na hadn't been nearly as lucky as him and Kaida had been. He almost asked where Kaida's partner was, but chose to extend a favor to her by not questioning the matter. If she wanted to be quiet about the matter, he wouldn't force it out.
"How did the lad end up, by the by? You two left after I returned to my fishing." He steered the discussion towards Kaida for now, however. He was legitimately curious on how they had survived after they split paths, and he wanted to hear just how she had treated Hisan'na after their meeting. Human interactions, especially voluntary mercy, were so interesting to hear and observe. Much like digimon, these bags of meat seemed to have such complex feelings and thoughts to them. While discovering and observing them was nowhere near what he had set out to do, casually observing and studying humans had almost become a second hobby of sorts.
By now, he was sheathing his sword as well. The duo of Dracomon and Akio seemed peaceful enough to not warrant his hostile attention, and he thus showed them a sign of trust by hiding his weapon from sight. His sword hand had been tingling recently, but he kept it under control. Why was it doing that, though. He had never felt such an odd sensation before, the need to get into a battle, to give it everything he's got... It was almost scary. But he always managed to keep those urges away, keeping that energy that was seemingly ready to burst under the wraps. It was nothing important, surely.Kaida Adachi Akio Higashi

So it seems that they both had met before. That might explain the interaction between the two that happened. It might also explain why She seemed defensive of Chousen. Both of them confirmed that they had met before. Maybe this girl had some sort of big sister feeling for Chousen. Maybe when she saw him and Dracomon approach him and was worried that they were going to delete him. [break][break]
Interesting it seems the last time they met there was another tamer with them. But it sounds like it was quite sickly. As he listened to Chousen speak he started to wonder about the boy as well. He felt bad for the boys partner digimon having to drag him along like that. He was starting to wonder what was causing the boy to be so ill. From the conversation it seemed that Chousen didn't know what happened to the boy but the girl seemed to know.[break][break]
He didn't know what to say on that matter. He wanted to ask but Chousen already covered that. He just had to sit and wait for her to respond. But at the same time Chousen finally lowered his weapon. This made Akio feel a little bit more at ease. He didn't feel like this could turn into a battle at any moment. This was probably part of the reason he has been so successful at staying alive this long here. He just wasn't immediately trusting of anyone who showed up.[break][break]
Dracomon was the happiest that Chousen had lowered and put away his sword. Dracomon stood up off his haunches he shakes himself off before heading over to Chousen. He approached slowly and cautiously. He didn't want to startle Chosen or give him the wrong idea. Once he got close he started sniffing Chousen. He caught a scent he was familiar with.[break][break]
"You're a dragon type digimon aren't you?" Dracomon asked Chousen

Kaida raised her hand dismissively, " Did what you asked. Helped. He's...not dead." She honestly didn't know what happened to the boy after she had chased him out of her tenuous "home". " Probably fine. I didn't hurt him. Want to hurt his partner though." She spat the last part out like poison, even though she was no stranger to the predatory hunt for data, it was the creature's attitude that made her want to scowl. Whatever happened to that boy was irrelevant for as long as his prideful partner was there, they'd probably get killed looking for a fight so frantically. She shook her head swiftly, as if to clear that event from mind, and simply curled her lips up very slightly and very briefly. What a fight that had been! She wasn't quite as casual as Chousen and she didn't lose the tension in her stance as the dragon Digimon approached, and she felt her Serpentemon tighten around her chest as its scent and voice came too close for comfort. Still, she couldn't help but let her eyes burn in curiosity, quizically tilting her head. This little warrior was a dragon Digimon? " You're...a dragon?" She blurted out, eyes on the ground with the two small Digimon. Chousen Akio Higashi |

His eyes squinted just a tad as the dracomon made its way over to him, but Chousen had already accepted that there was no hostility within the almost innocent-feeling dragon. His question made his eyes twinge with a bit of embarrassment, especially when Kaida chimed in. "I had thought the matter obvious..." He wiggles his reptile-like feet for a moment, claws scraping against the pavement, along with swinging his tail from side to side. While it wasn't very lengthy, it still managed to reach the ground and swipe against it a bit.
He had thought his draconic nature to be obvious! He had the tail and the feet, what else did he need? Wings? Big, gaping maws full of spitter that could melt through solid steel? Some big fangs to fill those maws? Maybe some horns? A more reptile-like hunch, like the one Dracomon had? He clearly felt a bit embarrassed by the whole question, as came clear from his tone of voice, but he coughed and tried to move away from the subject before they'd go and ask for something weird, like for him to try and take off his mask. He didn't even want to try and entertain the thought for the sake of his own little comedy.
"... Arhem, yes, anyhow, moving onwards from that. I am glad the lad is alright, safe and sound. 'Tis about what I expected, but I wanted to make sure just in case." Kaida didn't seem like a bad person. A bit snarky, even bitter maybe, but definitely not bad. "Thank you for taking care of him. While 'tis not I who caused him such pain and suffering during the battle, I am still relieved to hear that you took care of him. It'd leave such a bad taste in my mouth for blood to be shed without a good reason." He spoke and glanced back to Dracomon in curiosity. Hm. Something had been bugging him recently, and he wanted to start asking around. Might as well start with him.
"Ah, actually... I must ask. How did thy come upon thy partner? How did you come unto this world and forge this contract between you and that human?" It was time he started to try and get to the bottom of just why this all was happening.Kaida Adachi Akio Higashi

Akio listened as the girl said her very short part on the boy. Akio was glad that the boy turned out alright. Although it seemed interesting that the girl had to clarify that she didn't hurt the boy. That seemed like it should go without saying. Why would one need to clarify it, unless they were showing some kind of aggressive tendencies. It seemed like she might have some though. She mentioned how she wanted to hurt his partner though. It possible the partner deserved it, but she could just have wanted to hurt him.[break][break]
Interesting Dracomon's little inquiry into Chousen's origin seemed bother him. Not in a way that made him angry. But he seemed to be embarrassed that Dracomon noticed it. It was obvious that he wasn't human type digimon. But with all of his armor it wasn't clear what he completely was under there. He was reptilian for sure. But what did that mean, was he a lizard man, a dinosaur, or the dragon that he was. There were a lot of options to account for his tail and scales.[break][break]
"I thought so." Dracomon chimed in. "I just can seem to sense these things." Dracomon cheered up but he noticed Chousen wasn't too thrilled that he had gotten closer like he had. He took a step back and sat down. He was going to wait to see if Chousen would come to him instead. Especially since they were the same family of Digimon. Heck they might even be descended from the same digimon.[break][break]
"Well Dracomon and I first met randomly one day. I was just out for a walk and there was a bright light down an ally. No one else seemed to notice it. I went to check it out and thats when we met."

Perhaps it was obvious, and Kaida grimaced as she glanced at the reptilian tail and feet, it really was obvious there was something animalistic about the little warrior...but dragon? That'd take a bit of doing to discover under all that armor. The actual dragon looking Digimon stated it just had a "sense" for things like that. Did Jorgie have such an ability? Well, if he did, then he had never told her. She could feel that she was alienating the dragon and man away from the conversation with the introduction of the discussion about the injured boy, " You don't really want to know." She commented casually, shrugging off the conversation, " Over with anyhow." She couldn't really tell whether that the question on partners was aimed for her or the newcomer, but after snorting at the sheer normalness of the man's encounter, she piped in with her own, " My partner followed me a while, he found me, not the other way." Jorgie had been a presistant thing, and she could appreciate that, though he never answered how it had happened beyond she had caused it to happen, " Doesn't know why though...they just fall in." Chousen frowned and stroked the area where his chin would be if he wasn't wearing the mask. So, they just found each other? Akio and Dracomon had Akio finding Dracomon, while with Kaida and her partner, it'd found her first. There was no word on just how, it just happened. This was a bit annoying. Did it truly just come down to raw magnetism? Was every digimon simply magnetized towards some human, with the few like Chousen simply never finding them or feeling that magnetism? That seemed like a horrible cop-out, especially considering the existence of those devices tamers seemed to carry around. Did those just pop into existence randomly too? There had to be something else.
"Hm... I see. Not what I had been expecting, but it will do for now. Thank you for your cooperation on this matter." Chousen nodded to both Kaida and Akio. He hadn't especially asked Kaida for her opinion on the matter, but her input was helpful in having him form a beginning hypothesis. Digimon were somehow attracted to humans? At least, those destined to be partners with a human were. Or maybe humans destined to be partners with digimon were the ones magnetized towards their partners? Either option held root for now, since Kaida represented the "digimon go to humans" side, while Akio represented the "humans go to the digimon" side.
His eyes turned towards the moon. Some time had passed, and the early workers would be rising up sooner rather than later, and soon the imperial district would be flooded with politicians and administrators ready to get the center of the country working again at full force. While watching such a thing would prove to be exciting, he'd have to get back to his abode so that the old man wouldn't get too worried. He knew of Chousen's nightly strolls, but it was fairly obvious that he didn't know the far extent of them. Chousen lowered his head and flipped his gaze between the two others, and Dracomon too.
"The night is growing to a steady end. While it would be nice to keep this conversation going, I feel as if I would be in danger of being discovered if it continued... Thus, I present that we split ways for now, for the sake of convenience and safety."Kaida Adachi Akio Higashi

Akio thought it was odd that the girl's partner tacked her down. Although at least her partner looked like a regular animal. He might not have caught on that there was a snake just following him around if that was the case. He might have just thought it was a wild snake. Probably would have thought they were all different snakes too. At the very least he wouldn't have thought it was the same one.[break][break]
Chousen's response was interesting. Was he wondering why he didn't have a partner or if he was wondering how he could meet a partner of his own. Was that maybe his goal of coming to the human world. Was he searching out a human to be his tamer. Was he feeling left out. The questions were just racing through Akio's mind. But he had to stop he probably wasn't going to be able to ask them.[break][break]
As Chousen mentioned the night was coming to an end Akio glanced down at his phone. They had spent a lot of the night here having a conversation. He should make his way home to get some sleep in. He was sure Dracomon could probably use some sleep too.[break][break]
"Yeah you are probably right. Have a good night Chousen." Akio gave a formal good bye to Chousen. He was about to get going and then remembered the girl too. "And bye to you too. Come on Dracomon its time to go." [break][break]
Akio and Dracomon turned around to head back the direction they had come from to stumble upon Chousen. It was the quickest way back to their house. However they still had about a thirty minute walk ahead of them before they would finally make it home.

Kaida grunted in acknowledgement, small flicker of a grin approaching her face. She never really thought about how Digimon even managed to get into this world, she glanced own at Jorgie, who had let his head come out once it was clear she had showed enough knowledge about this whole thing and showed herself as a Tamer. His eyes twitched slightly, and a tilt of his head displayed his own confusion about this whole situation. If even the creatures that fell into this world had trouble understanding why, what hope did they have on figuring this out? The night is growing to a steady end.
