The Tamer's psyche is a bit distorted, from years and years of trying to prove that ghosts and monsters are in fact very real. By every meaning of the word, she is definitely insane, or at least some level of it. Her grim battle style reflects this, as she often prefers to slowly hurt the enemy through minor, torturous pains and fears, causing them prolonged suffering rather than simply finishing them off. Being a major fan of all things horror, she has plenty of sources to pull ideas from, and enjoys referencing classic staples in dark history. Along with this, she is quite fond of making cheesy horror themed puns, which can often ruin the mood she strives to create.[break][break]
There is a rumor that she is actually quite afraid of ghosts if she were to ever meet a real one, though she always dismisses it as false.
[attr="class","nightmare_head"] PERSONALITY
Samara has always had an obsessive interest with the supernatural - ever since she was a little girl. Even then, she would often go off on tangents about the existence of ghosts and other paranormal cryptids, often leaving her friends and family to think she's a bit of a nutjob or oddball, especially her parents who both worked in legitimate scientific fields. She's always been big on Halloween, and making herself appear dead all year round with pale makeups and dark clothing.[break][break] The Tamer's psyche is a bit distorted, from years and years of trying to prove that ghosts and monsters are in fact very real. It wasn't until her thirteenth Halloween that she actually encountered something vaguely paranormal. A monster, a real monster, appeared to her in the graveyard that night. It was everything she had dreamed of, but in an instant, it faded away, never for her to see again. This creature was not actually one of flesh and blood, but one of data and code, something she would not be able to understand until much later in her life.[break][break]
By the time she was eighteen, much to her disappointment, she found out about the underground network of Digimon Tamers, and found out the popular franchise was no mere card game. Samara herself obtained a Digimon partner in the same graveyard she had her first encounter, and soon booked a trip to Tokyo - where she had heard about the four powerful gangs fighting for control of the city. Joining up with the fearsome Nightmare, she hoped she could scare this city to its bones.
[attr="class","nightmare_head"] HISTORY
Samara grew up around one of the largest cemeteries in the world, located in Koya, Japan. She would often wander these gravestones, running away from home at night, hoping to find something thrilling and exciting. However, night after night, year after year, she never did come across anything that could be judged as paranormal. Desperate to prove the world otherwise, she would invent complex ghost stories and place herself in the role of main character, telling people that they were the honest truth. These lies spread into her every day life, causing her to lie about other smaller things as well, to an almost compulsive rate.
