Obito comes off as quiet, mindful and observant character. True to his somewhat bookish appearance with his glasses, he is smart and quick-thinking. He is the type of person to think before he acts and operates with a cool head. He has a strong intellect and usually catches onto things faster than others. His at times withdrawn or distant demeanor may make some people think he is dispassionate or uncaring-- but that couldn't be further from the truth. Behind his somewhat stoic appearance, he harbors a deep compassion for others and tries his best to resolve issues that arise. He is quiet, but when push comes to shove, he steps up and is unwavering in his decisions. [break][break]
He also possesses a great sense of creativity and imagination-- a trait from his childhood he chose to hold strong to. He is often seen in his spare time writing stories or drawing sketches in one of his notebooks. This combination of intelligence and creativity makes him passionate about games of strategy or puzzles. Deep down, he is a dreamer-- someone who wishes for a brighter tomorrow and keeps those hopes close to his heart. [break][break] At times, his withdrawn nature can be associated with a lack of trust in people. Though he reaches out to others and tries to make friends, his past made him critical towards how he views people. He has difficult telling whom to trust. His past of being hurt by others made him guarded of others, but he desires to have the hope that people are good and capable of changing for the better.

Obito grew up in Kyoto, Japan. Though raised by loving parents, their work often kept them away. While they were gone, he would often be in the care of his grandfather who lived in the same town. At age 7, he was a more open child and freely spoke his mind. He wasn't afraid to approach people. As he grew up, he learned much. Whenever his parents came home, he grew to learn much about world culture and history. He loved to learn about different myths and legends from where his parents traveled. He hoped to be an explorer the world himself someday... even though such a dream was unrealistic in the modern world.

His intellect grew, and so did his creative spark. He would present excellent projects, inspired by his family's work. However, as he progressed in school, he became more aware of how some people wouldn't appreciate him. Though smart, he was sensitive and often was targeted by bullies who would call him names like 'four-eyes' and other stupid names. He tried to ignore it, but slowly more and more kids would target him for reasons that weren't even true. This forced him to seek sanctuary in the library during his free time.

However, when he was 13, one event grew to a height when he worked on one of his art projects. A mythical creature he would often write about-- a black panther inspired by South-American and African mythology. However, for reasons he didn't understand, after he was done, he was confronted by a couple of the bullies in the class. While the teacher was occupied elsewhere, they took his drawing he had worked hard on and after kicking him down-- tore it up right in front of him.

He couldn't take it anymore. Obito snapped-- and lunged at him. Unable to tolerate being mistreated anymore, he attacked them. It turned into an ugly fight right in the classroom with Obito in a blind rage to punch his face in. He couldn't tolerate it anymore. By the time the teacher finally did intervene, both of them had dealt blows to one another.

Despite being the victim of the attack and being provoked, Obito was suspended as well. It was then that his faith in people became sundered, hurt by both the bullies and the teachers who were supposed to keep their students safe. After the end of middle school, Obito's family felt it was best for him to start High school with a fresh slate and they moved to Tokyo. Though in Tokyo, he learned that such problems still followed. There were bullies everywhere... a lesson that no one was free from such injustice.
