[ TRAPPED - A MINI-EVENT ] A Nightmare member has been making trouble in a local graveyard, luring unsuspecting loner Tamers and gang affiliated Tamers into a maze of darkness, traps, and tombstones. Every Tamer who's come so far has ended up beaten and has had their entire decks stolen. Tired of the muggings, a small group of Tamers have decided to work together to take down this threat after linking up on the Dark Net.• 2-4 Tamers can sign up simply by posting in this thread. If a 5th Tamer posts, it will be ignored and deleted. • After the first round of posts, a small map will be posted. Each character will have a marker/token on the map, and will be allowed to move two spaces with each post they make. • Make your way to the end of the maze and face Samara in a battle. Defeating her will mark the successful completion of the event. • Beware of the various traps, hazards, puzzles, and undead Digimon that may appear when you move to a new space!
• Rewards depend on how the final battle is handled. Samara can be fought in Challenge Mode (in which a special event-crafted set of rules will appear) or normally. Normal Rewards: 5 random base set cards + 500 Bytes. Challenge Rewards: 2 exclusive cards + 5 random base set cards + 800 Bytes.
The Shinagawa Cemetery - not the largest one in Japan, but it definitely had every spooky quality of a good boneyard. The slight fall breeze that whistled through the dead trees only made it all the more convincing. Oh, if it were only Halloween already, then the setting would truly be picture perfect.
"Argh...you can't do that! It isn't fair!" An angered male voice could be heard from the center of the graveyard. This voice belonged to none than a disgruntled Tamer, his Hagurumon laid out in front of him, out cold. "This isn't over yet! Hagurumon! Get up!" Unfortunately for this enigmatic man, no response came from his beloved partner.
Across from him stood a woman with long black hair and piercing red eyes. Her skin was as pale as a ghost, and her body as thin as a skeleton. Her expression was smug and doll-like, and very little about her at all seemed entirely human. In front of her was a strange Digimon, shaped like a tombstone with eyes and a sharp, jagged mouth. "I'm afraid it's goodnight for you and your little friend." She spoke in a delicate, creepy tone, much like something you might hear from a 80's horror hour host. "Just hand over your cards as per agreement, and maybe I won't add you to my collection of corpses." The man clenched his teeth in anger.
"I'm not letting a Nightmare punk like you make a mockery out of me! I'll finish this myself, you freakin' twig!" The older man would shout, balling his fists and running directly at the girl. Just as he was only a few feet away from landing a punch square on her porcelain face, his foot sunk into the ground, and with it, the rest of his body. Six feet under he would fall, into an empty plot. Several of his cards scattered around the opening of the hole.
"Oh, how misfortunate." The dark girl mused, picking up the cards, and shuffling them into her collection. "Good luck getting out of there, maintenance doesn't come around until morning." She smiled, walking away from the defeated duo, and twirling around a nearby tombstone, then taking a seat upon it. "Oh what miserable fun, I sure hope so more suckers fall into my trap!"
If they did, maybe Juro would reward her for all these cards she was bringing him...

"Haru-chan, can I ask you something? I thought humans weren't all bad? The person causing all this trouble is... a tamer, right?" The small dog-like Digimon would ask to the goggle-adorned japanese girl as it trailed right behind her. Night has shown its face on Shinagawa, an ominous atmosphere seemingly enveloping the cemetary that Haru was making her way towards.
"They aren't! Some though just kinda I think aren't as well-adjusted..." The girl would somewhat awkwardly mention, she flipping the pair of eye-wear over her face.
It had been a partial call for help among some of the local tamers on the Dark Net. Now while normally Haru tried to avoid all that weird junk with the gangs around Japan, but people seemed to be really getting fed up with it. As a good Samaritan, she felt it was her need to try and resolve this ongoing problem. "I think though if we can just talk them out of all these muggings, we can fix this little mess up! Maybe we can even get those cards back?"
Tawna on the otherhand shot her tamer a somewhat unsure look, not entirely convinced by their very idealistic and wide-eyed way of thinking. "And if they don't listen?" The Rookie level would ask, tilting their head slightly in confusion.
"Welllll, I guess a little violence doesn't hurt?" The human would awkwardly say. While not the BEST way of solving things... it wasn't like they wouldn't try to defend themselves.
"That's okay. I'm really good at that violence thing if I do say so myself." The Digimon would quip as they neared the gates that led to the cemetary.
Just in case since she heard this person was mainly just stealing cards, she only brought along with her a few of her less valuable ones. If all things went according to plan, hopefully they wouldn't have to be used.

[attr="class","trying"] [attr="class","we1"] [attr="class","lost1"]let us play a game [attr="class","rise"] [attr="class","dying1"] [attr="class","mouths1"]With a firm huff, and seemingly alone, Yun Yoshimasa took a step into Shinagawa Cemetery. He enters with his guard elevated, as a piece of information cycling through his mind serves as the keystone behind his momentary paranoia. One of the cretins from that deplorable Nightmare gang has been making this a regular haunt, the pun notwithstanding. In addition to harassing folks that simply wished for nothing more than to pay their respects to the dearly departed, this person was stealing their cards in the process — and in a most unusual fashion, the very same element that motivated Yun to investigate this dreary place from the get-go. According to the rumors that have been circulating, this person engages their victims in twisted 'game', leading them astray within the cemetery in order to frighten and terrify them into a state of defenselessness, then striking while they are at their most vulnerable. Truly, a paragon of the most ignoble sort. Yun's attention would be grabbed by the sound of shouting in the distance. An altercation? Carefully, as to avoid making any sudden noises, the spiky-haired duelist crept his way between the tombstones until he happened upon the sight of a young man arguing with a girl with spiral ponytails, dressed in what appeared to be Lolita fashion. As the scene unfolded, the frustrated man, unwilling to accept the circumstances of the present moment, attempted to take his anger out on the mysterious female when, suddenly, a tangle of vines sprung from the earth beneath his feet and swallowed him, right before Yun's very eyes. He breathed carefully, steeling his nerves for what was about to transpire next. This lass definitely played for keeps, that much could be ascertained. He had to keep his wits about him if he was to succeed in taking her down. With a steady glance to his left, Yun nods at nothing in particular, then rises from behind the cover of the tombstone that once concealed his form. " That's not real ladylike." Shit. He could have opened with a better joke. 1: HYPER WING - Grants the Digimon a pair of wings for 3 turns, granting them the ability of flight. 2: WETLANDS - Soaks the entire battlefield in a swamp of ankle-high water, up to a maximum diameter of 120ft, and elevates the humidity accordingly. Fire attacks lose a full damage grade in effectiveness and Burn status cannot be inflicted as long as this card remains active, but Thunder attacks gain an additional low chance of inflicting Stun. The water dries away after 5 turns. 3: ELEMENT CHAMELEON - Shifts a single resist/weakness/null of a target Digimon to a chosen affinity (except Absolute). Lasts for 5 turns. 4: ELECTRO SHOCKER - Kabuterimon's signature attack. The user attacks by sending out a giant ball of plasma to electrocute the foe. Inflicts moderate Thunder damage and has a moderate chance to Stun the foe for 1 turn. 5: THOR'S HAMMER - Zudomon's signature attack. Unleash the mighty Mjolnir, slamming down the hammer causes an area-of-effect lightning shockwave around the point of impact, extending just beyond melee range. Deals moderate Thunder damage.

[attr="class","tbox"] [attr="class","uh"] BURN LIKE WILDFIRE WIPE THAT SMILE RIGHT OFF YOUR FUCKING FACE | Daichi had just happened to be wandering nearby when he saw them.
Three of them congregated in the centre of the cemetery, drifting between mausoleums and five-foot graves. Without bothering for reconnaissance, he dove in, walking through the ever-open wrought iron gate with his off-yellow raincoat pulled tightly around him. From afar, he had seen two of them -- one female and one male, each with their own creature.
Daichi recognised one of them once he breached the threshold. The smaller man from Shibuya with the hair and the golden Digimon. the other one was a girl with a monster of her own, in the form of a... gravestone? He whistled and snapped his fingers. Out of the darkness slunk Rho up to his side with a garbled, wordless expression, as it always was.
Daichi approached slowly, his mammoth, towering form still as he waded through the dirt. He levelled a finger at the one from Shibuya.
"I'm going to make you a deal, this time, kid." Unfinished business. "Give me your Digivice and walk away, and I won't snap you into little pieces." Daichi turned then to the girl. "You're next." Rho skirted around from behind him, releasing a crackle as he flashed that eternal, pearly grin.
X SWIPES REMAIN 01. FIRST AID - Restores a low amount of damage from the Digimon.

04. DISARM - Negates the currently active effects of a Weapon or Armor card that was played on an enemy Digimon, destroying the equipment in the process.
05. RECYCLE - Discard 4 cards from your deck and recover 2 that have already been used in the thread. This card does not use up a swipe.
06. EXPANSION - Expands the Digimon's to 10 times their original size. While offering increased size, it does not affect their actual strength. Lasts for 3 turns.
07. ELEMENT CHAMELEON - Shifts a single resist/weakness/null of a target Digimon to a chosen Affinity (except Absolute). Lasts for 5 turns.
08. SPIRAL TWISTER - Biyomon's signature attack. The user sends out a stream of ethereal flames to attack, dealing low Wind/Fire damage and a low chance to Burn for 3 turns.
09. CELESTIAL ARROW - Angewomon's signature attack. Launch a spear of moderate Light damage at an enemy. Inflicts Virus-attribute Digimon with Fear for three turns if it connects.
10. METAL WOLF CLAW - MetalGarurumon's signature attack. Spew a vapour of air at absolute zero, dealing heavy Water damage in melee range at every direction. Enemies weak to Water will be Frozen for three turns.

The cemetery was always rather quiet. Mizuki knew- she went there quite a bit. After having spent most of her life in a hospital, several of her old friends had passed. From other children with terminal illnesses or older patients who passed from age, the girl had several friends to visit at the cemetery. Today, she was visiting a girl who had been with her for a year or so. She had been beautiful. Half Japanese and half French, she had golden blond hair. Had she not been ill, Mizuki imagined her cheeks would have flushed a rosy pink. As the girl looked over the grave, she let out a sigh. Mizuki held Giles to her chest before moving to sit down. ”Mimi, is this proper?” he asked as she placed him down. The book like Digimon balanced on his bottom as his chain like arms crossed over one another. Mizuki shrugged as she leaned against the gravestone and pulled out her handheld game. ”Mary liked dating sims. She got me Ultra Kawaii Romantic Vampire Doki Doki Romance XXX Super Golden Edition for my birthday and showed me how to get to the true ultimate holy bride ending...” she explained, mumbling softly as the game started up. ”I thought I'd play with her for a bit before going home...”Mizuki stayed for an hour or so- playing the game quietly as she got enveloped in the rather trashy but addictive plot line. ”Mimi, it's rather late. If we don't leave soon, you will miss the last train.”Giles' voice broke her out of the game. Her eyes shifted up. The sun had set. Mizuki let out a soft sigh as she stood up and stretched quietly. She crouched to pick up Giles with a weak smile. ”I guess I got carried away, huh?” she asked. The book digimon sighed with a soft nod of his large eye. Giles knew better than to interrupt Mizuki during these visitations. He only did it this time so she could get home. As Mizuki walked through the cemetery, the sound of a fight could be heard. The girl gulped quietly before hugging Giles tightly. She moved to find the exit, this was a job for the police. However, at the exit, Mizuki found herself face to face with a girl... and a Digimon. A dog like Digimon. Mizuki's face paled as she eyed the digimon and then the girl, glancing between them. Luckily, Giles just looked like a normal book. Mizuki took in a deep breath. She never spoke to other tamers before in person... ”Erm... there's a lot of screaming further in the cemetery... uh...cute dog.”MADE BY ★MEULK [newclass=.mmk1]width:350px;background-color:#111111;font-family:verdana;font-size:9pt;text-align:justify;color:#555555;border-left:#151515 solid 30px;padding:60px;[/newclass][newclass=.mmk1 b]font-family:Montserrat;color:#dd6b6f;[/newclass][newclass=.mmk1 a]font-family:calibri;font-size:9pt;text-transform:uppercase;[/newclass]

"Mwehehe! Ladylike?! I concur, it's quite so to put a man like that in his place." Samara laughed at her new visitor, another victim for her little game of shadows. He was certainly an interesting figure, to be able to afford a hairstyle like that he must certainly have some good cards on him. Maybe this would be the stepping stone that would finally get her the promotion she so sought. Second in command of Nightmare, her rightful place! She couldn't help but smile to herself about this little dream.
Before further retort could be thrown at the spikey haired Tamer, another man barged into the scene - with absolutely no care or caution about any of the traps or hazards littering the cemetery. He threatened the other Tamer, much to her surprise, and then laid out another threat directed towards her. Certainly a violent person, typical of those vagabond loners. "Mwehe...hahaha! You both think you got me cornered, huh?! I'm afraid not, I've got you right where I want you! Haven't you ever seen a horror movie? The graveyard is the last place you go to!" Samara pressed her shiny red heel into the ground, which slightly sunk into the dirt. It was the place where she had previously placed a mechanism connected to the iron gates leading into the place. "You're trapped now."
With these words, a large metal clank could be heard throughout the graveyard - the sound of the front gate and the only way out closing and locking shut.
With the iron fence being well over eight foot high, it was unlikely any of her victims (well, besides for maybe the tall tanned one) could escape from this situation by simply climbing over. And that wasn't all - she had a special obstacle course planned for a group like this. It was honestly so exciting, a group of stupid kids wander into the graveyard, only to be met with horrors like they have never seen before! "Let's see if you can find me before the morning sun." She brought her other foot down, activating another switch. This one, however, caused the ground to fall out around her, sending her falling below into a series of tunnels she had created with the help from a few Nightmare grunts.

As Haru and her partner finally traversed into the entrance of the haunting graveyard, the girl noticed a figure seemingly having been approaching them... or were they just leaving the graveyard and were unrelated to this mugging tamer incident? Honestly she was not sure, she drawing a bit nearer and thinking very much aloud. "Uh... you don't look like the type to mug someone...? I would have thought that they would be you know, some big burly guy or something..." She'd comment, staring at the rather young girl's frame. They didn't exactly look like the type to be attacking people and stealing their cards (she silently thought to herself how similar this sounded to like the plot of card-based anime right now). "No wait, why would a mugger be leaving the cemetary? God damn it, think brain think..." She'd begin to ramble to herself, attempting to decipher just as to whom she was talking to. Of course, with the way she had been acting, it just seemed like she was a stranger with a weird dog who just began talking to herself.
"This girl has a Digimon too." Tawna would comment rather apathetically, eyeing the seemingly innocuous book that the rather frail-looking girl was holding closely. The Rookie level was far too used to the smell of Digimon to be fooled, unlike Haru who seemed to jump slightly in shock from such a revelation. Before Tawna could try to accuse anything else, the distant sound of a man screaming off in the distance caused the Plotmon's attention to be drawn elsewhere. "... But I don't think she's who we want though."
The black-haired girl's eyes shrunk to pricks behind the goggles over he face, she for a moment jolting slightly. "...! Are we too late? That does NOT sound good!" She'd briefly stammer, realizing that the mugger tamer may had just struck again. That was something that HAD to be stopped if possible. Jolting her head slightly from left to right, trying to get a read as to where everything was... Haru stopped to gaze at the somewhat sickly girl.
While it was perhaps a bit of a stretch since they just met, but Haru wouldn't have minded trying to get a bit of backup here. Possibly helping to stop a ne'erdowell first, friendship and other stuff l-a-t-e-r. "Uh, hey! You ARE a tamer right? I'm super sorry to just like throw this on ya, but can you possibly help us? Someone may seriously need help!" She'd quickly offer, but not taking too long to wait. Regardless if she did get an answer, she'd try to start making her way deeper into the graveyard, Tawna close by her side.

Mug someone? Mizuki blinked as she stared at the girl. The idea of her mugging someone was... it was impossible. A soft giggle escaped her lips at the thought of her four foot ten self actually doing something like that. As the girl began to mutter to herself, Mizuki gulped. ”E...er I should go-- Erk!” She was cut off as the digimon spoke. As the Plotmon effectively gave up his ruse, the ornate circular decoration on the book opened to reveal an eye staring out at them. As he spoke, his eye shifted to look over them. Who the hell knew where his words came out from. ”Miss Haruka is certainly not a mugger! She was here to visit a grave!” he spoke, clearly offended by even the notion of his tamer being considered a 'mugger.' A soft smile crossed Mizuki's face as she patted the top of the book that formed Giles. As the gate suddenly slammed shut next to them, her face paled. ”H...hey wait a minute! Open up gate!” she stammered before going to try shaking the gate open, however after a few gates, the girl stopped and rested her head on the gate frame. ”...I'm going to miss the live stream at this rat...” she mumbled softly. She glanced over her shoulder as the other girl started speaking. Mizuki hesitantly nodded. ”A...Alright... it's not like I can leave anyway...” she mumbled softly before moving to follow her. ooc | tags Haru Toriya notes The littlest cancer patient was indeed dragged along. |

[attr="class","trying"] [attr="class","we1"] [attr="class","lost1"]let us play a game [attr="class","rise"] [attr="class","dying1"] [attr="class","mouths1"]Apparently, Yun wasn't the only one who answered the summons to arms against this Nightmare scoundrel. As for who did the answering, he couldn't have been more unprepared for the revelation, even if he had actually tried to achieve such a result. Standing parallel to the spiky-haired gamer was none other than that enormous giant of a man, the one from Shibuya. That was quite a chase, despite all the collateral damage it caused. Perhaps in an ironic sort of way, it gave Yun a mild appreciation for his supposed grasp of cardiology. He knew how to get the muscles working. Yun's expectations of the brute's thuggish behavior certainly hadn't changed any, though his approach was new this time: surrender his Digivice and walk away, or risk being assaulted. Again. Before he could provide verbal riposte, the spiral-haired girl in the black dress cackled rather diabolically, as though she were a villain from some C-list horror manga claiming to have successfully lured the 'heroes' into her dastardly trap. Once again, Yun was robbed of his thunder to retort sarcastically as an audible SLAM! erupted from the entrance to the cemetery. Somehow, she had locked the gates leading out, and for all intents and purposes, he and the tower of meat were trapped. The latter, maybe less so. He could just eat his way through the bars. With a final taunt of apparent triumph, the Lolita Goth criminal emits a shrill laughter before the ground beneath her feet suddenly gives way, swallowing her body whole in the blink of an eye. Yun clenched his fist. He was grasping at loose sand here, metaphorically speaking, and even the hand of destiny itself offers to give the cardsharp a further run for his money by delivering unto and caging him inside the same physical space with the very spawn of evil itself. What fucking joy. Rolling his neck slightly, Yun turns to face the behemoth-sized Tamer all the same, despite the memories that lingered fresh within his thoughts. " Zubamon." On cue, the reptilian warrior clad in gold appeared in a luminescent flicker. " You want my Digivice? You'll have to earn it fairly, then." Zubamon merely glared pensively at his pointy-haired master, pondering over the possible gambits that were circulating in his mind. (OOC: Yun remains where he is. He moves no spaces.) 1: HYPER WING - Grants the Digimon a pair of wings for 3 turns, granting them the ability of flight.

[attr="class","tbox"] [attr="class","uh"] BURN LIKE WILDFIRE WIPE THAT SMILE RIGHT OFF YOUR FUCKING FACE | The girl dropped away and Daichi snapped his head from left to right before exhaling slowly. She would have to wait until later. The gates swung shut, but he cast a glance towards the fencing and grinned. Pitiful, to think that would keep him in. He smiled and levelled his glance, finally, at the man from Shibuya. The golden creature appeared before him from nowhere.
"Fine by me, kid," Daichi's grasp tightened around the black fibreglass of his D-Power and he sneered, baring his teeth. "At least, this time, you're not gonna make me fucking chase you." Rho skulked forwards and crackled, staring up at his adversary's glistening protector. The eye on his right hand begun to thrash and roll around erratically in its socket. A misty, purple sheen descended over it.
Rho let out a fractured screech and flicked the hand upwards, firing an energy lance of the same colour upwards towards the Digimon. Daichi wasted no time; as soon as the Dracmon unleashed the attack, he skirted around to the side, trying to swing an uppercut past the metallic Digimon, aimed at his Tamer's chin.
Yun Yoshimasa Samara BosekiDaichi has moved diagonally upwards and right to attack Yun's left side. [ EYE OF GOMORRAH ] - - Rho focuses one of the eyes on his hands. It mists over, and glazes a deep purple. He targets one enemy and releases a lance-shaped burst of dark energy, dealing tiny DARK damage on impact.

"Uh, sorry for the confusion! Anyone probably looks like a mugger in the wrong light! Or lack of it!" The rather absent-minded girl would quickly apologize to the book-like Digimon, trying not to stand still for too long. While she would have if she had time tried to at least introduce herself and Tawn, a commotion was brewing and time was somewhat of the essence.
Despite the fellow tamer she had wrangled into being somewhat on the sluggish side (given she was mostly unaware to just how frail they really were), Haru made her way towards the sound of conflict; tailed by Tawna. The source of this conflict was now able to at least be identified, they being two male tamers, one with wild crazy hair (who oddly, she couldn't but think they were familiar in some way, but she did have some bad memory frankly), and another who was more or less an older beefcake of a man. Said muscular man was more or less fighting dirty by tagteaming up on the gold-colored metallic dragon Digimon with a small vampire-esque Digimon.
Well, it didn't take a rocket scientist to kinda figure who was probably the bad guy in this situation. She wasn't one to just kinda judge things by their covers, but it WAS kinda leaning against the big scary man and the vampire here. Hoping to perhaps stop this brawl before it heats up, the girl began to yell out towards them all. "Yo! You four, break it up this minute!" Haru yelled out loud, pointing dramatically towards the two tamers and their partners, her Digivice in her other hand. It was mostly just a simple (albeit forceful) request, but she wasn't afraid to sic Tawna on anyone who was still willing to cross that line that she had drawn. The goal here was P E A C E, not drawing blood after all.
During this time, she made sure to at least try to scan the more troublesome-looking Digimon of the two... if just cause she still wasn't entirely sure that her warning would be heeded.
((OOC: Moving diagonal right 2 spaces. Also scanning Rho with her D-Power.))

[attr="class","trying"] [attr="class","we1"] [attr="class","lost1"]let us play a game [attr="class","rise"] [attr="class","dying1"] [attr="class","mouths1"]The great juggernaut of a man wastes no time in expressing his intentions to pick up where they last left off, and Yun smirks proudly in reply. The two of them begin a slow advance, Rho's hands charged with dark power, and Zubamon's metallic frame shifts in anticipation of a brawl. The white-haired titan lunges into a dash for Yun, while the Dracmon opts to contend with his golden adversary. Zubamon would have intercepted the human's advance were it not for a pair of incoming black lances, channeled from the darkest recesses of whatever netherworld Rho spawned from, forcing the reptilian warrior to barrel his way to the left, letting the dark spikes singe the edges of his glistening white cape. Yun was capable of avoiding more than a few hits, though; he's had to do it ever since this obsessive man started chasing him all over Shibuya. And he would do it once again with a careful spring backwards, feeling the rush of air practically carve into his meticulously-gelled haircut as the behemoth's fist whizzes skyward. In the time frame it would have taken for Yun to launch a retaliatory attack, the sound of a girl's voice penetrates the cemetery's dead silence. Alarmed by the new presence, he turns his head to recognize a face he was certain to have seen before, but unable to fully recall in the heat of the moment. Yun merely snaps his fingers without lifting his hand to do so, and Zubamon obeys instantly, practically sliding across the ground to take up a vanguard's stance beside his leather-clad Tamer, his cape billowing in tow. As much as he would have liked to indulge his pursuer in a second game of brawns-versus-brains, he was thankful for the goggle-wearing girl's interference, because he had come here to fry much bigger fish. Their rematch would have to wait. [attr="class","tbox"] [attr="class","uh"] BURN LIKE WILDFIRE WIPE THAT SMILE RIGHT OFF YOUR FUCKING FACE | In recovery from the missed uppercut, Daichi snarled. Rho skirted back around him as the titan leapt upwards, atop a small, raised grave mound. The Dracmon took his position in front of his controller, tilting his head and retaining that ever-fixed shapeless grin. A girl and her dog had skirted around too, just as supposedly trapped. She howled something inane.
"Don't worry. You and the dog can be next." Daichi turned back towards the Tamer with the metal Digimon. "He's just pissed me off enough to get a beating firs--" Something shuffled behind the gravestone Daichi was stood atop. Something... living, squirming in his periphery. "What the hell..."
The boxer snarled at the four, and resolved to save them for later. The best for last, as it were. He leapt down off the gravestone, Subject Rho whirring in tow, and he scanned from left to right, looking for glimpses of whatever he had previously seen.
