The school bell rang out as students began to file out of the building. It was a bit more orderly than other schools. If their uniforms were any indication, the students were of a higher tier than most school. From the elaborate estate like building of the academy to the fact that many of the students were getting into a line of private cars to be driven home, this was clearly a school for the wealthy. One of these privileged students walked a bit slower than the others. In her hands was a pink gaming device that seemed to be enthralling her attention. The girl barely glanced up from her game to affirm that her car was there, waiting for her. It was clearly her car- it had the special stickers from her father's government job and those for her disability. Mizuki opened the door and quietly slid in, still mostly paying attention to her game. As the door closed and the car began to move, she glanced up quietly as if about to speak- but she didn't. Daichi tightened the full Winsdor knot and buttoned up the jacket. He pulled the cap off of the bound man's head, and looked down at him. He was balding and just past forty, but fortunately a stout enough man that his clothes still fit. He patted down all of the jacket's pockets as the driver whimpered. All were empty aside from the inside right. It was a named schedule, fixed to the minute, complete with locations and addresses. Between 8 and 3, the driver ferried other clients around Tokyo. But from 3pm onwards...
"Mizuki Haruka..." The driver let out a muffled, inaudible cry as Daichi slammed shut the trunk of the Bentley. He flicked out the sunglasses -- the only part of his own outfit remaining -- and slipped them on as he rounded the car and slid into the driver seat.
Soon enough, the car pulled into a rank out front of Chiyoda Academy, another anonymous long, black towncar in a single file rank. Daichi pulled in quietly and put the car into neutral as the bell began to sound. The students trickled out, a few at a time, and begun to get into their respective cars.
It wasn't long before he saw her. That same frail, pitiful little thing from the cemetery. She seemed almost to struggle opening the door, meekly shuffling her tiny frame into the back. Daichi flashed a gaze into the main mirror as he pulled out of the bay and made a left, the school shrinking away behind them. She went to speak, but stopped herself. He stayed silent for the time being.

01. FIRST AID - Restores a low amount of damage from the Digimon.
02. BOARD RESET - Resets the battlefield to what it was before the beginning of the fight, repairing structural damage and instantly removing any weather or terrain effects active.
03. CARD JAMMER - Immediately disables use of all Digivice card scanner functions of Digivices in the area for 3 turns, preventing the action of scanning cards during this time.
04. DISARM - Negates the currently active effects of a Weapon or Armor card that was played on an enemy Digimon, destroying the equipment in the process.
05. RECYCLE - Discard 4 cards from your deck and recover 2 that have already been used in the thread. This card does not use up a swipe.
06. EXPANSION - Expands the Digimon's to 10 times their original size. While offering increased size, it does not affect their actual strength. Lasts for 3 turns.
07. ELEMENT CHAMELEON - Shifts a single resist/weakness/null of a target Digimon to a chosen Affinity (except Absolute). Lasts for 5 turns.
08. SPIRAL TWISTER - Biyomon's signature attack. The user sends out a stream of ethereal flames to attack, dealing low Wind/Fire damage and a low chance to Burn for 3 turns.
09. CELESTIAL ARROW - Angewomon's signature attack. Launch a spear of moderate Light damage at an enemy. Inflicts Virus-attribute Digimon with Fear for three turns if it connects.
10. METAL WOLF CLAW - MetalGarurumon's signature attack. Spew a vapour of air at absolute zero, dealing heavy Water damage in melee range at every direction. Enemies weak to Water will be Frozen for three turns.
11. TANGLE VINES - Summons forth a series of vines. These can be used to make a surface climbable, or upon an enemy to have a low chance of Rooting them for 2 turns. Vines fade away after 2 turns.
12. SCATTER AUGMENT - Modifies the Digimon next ranged attack to damage all foes in a cone radius. (Minimum 5ft cone, increases by 5ft for each damage category above Tiny).
13. POOP TOSS - Allows a Digimon to summon forth a pile of gunk created from an undesirable reason. Can be tossed at one target to inflict tiny trash damage.
14. VENOM SPLASH - Splashes a single target in a venom, which has a tiny chance (must roll 90 or higher) of inflicting poison.
15. DRYNESS - Dries a 250ft radius with a bright sun for a duration of 5 posts. |

Her eyes shifted quietly to the view of the streets passing by. The girl's eyes narrowed softly before glancing to the front seat. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she plopped back onto the car seat. ”We're going the wrong way,” she sighed before glancing down to the handheld game system in her hand. ”Does my dad want to talk or something?” she asked, somewhat annoyed. The girl let out an irritated sigh before continuing to play her game. ”Look, he knows I have to go to the hospital today. Just ignore him and take me there,” she mumbled before glancing up from the game. The girl didn't seem to notice anything odd about the man in the front seat. ”I can't believe he would do this again... he knows I need to go every other day...” she huffed under her breath. He yanked the car up another gear with a lurch, and built some speed. She asked about the father and the hospital. It flew over his head. He adjusted the main mirror in the front of the car and stared at the girl, making sure she would be able to see him in the reflection.
"This has nothing to do with your father." The boxer rounded another corner, pulling his sunglasses away and neatly tucking them back into his pocket, waiting for recognition. It had only been a few days since the graveyard. "I'm here for your Digivice, and your... book. You know the one I mean."
"Tell me where they are, and I'll take you to the hospital." Daichi stared the girl up and down with a grimace in the mirror as he turned another alleyway, the car slinking away from Chiyoda as best it could. "If you don't... Calmly, he turned around another corner. Directions to Ota and the Port of Tokyo popped up ahead. "Well, let's just say, we'll be going to the hospital either way."

she mumbled, only barely glancing up from her game. Her normal driver certainly wasn't that darkly colored. It was one of the other tamers from the graveyard the other night. Of course he showed up here. As he made his demands, the girl raised her game system up, as if trying to block her view of him. She seemed engrossed in the game. ”Like I'll give you Giles, you must be stupid,” she mumbled softly while continuing to tap on the game. As he tried to threaten her, a bitter scoff escaped the girl's lips. She glanced up at him over the edge of her game. There was a small sadness in her eyes, but it was most likely eclipsed by the large grin on her face. ”I'm going to the hospital either way, so who cares? Frankly, anything you could do, my body's been doing to me for years. His grip tightened on the steering wheel. Resisting the urge to pull the car over and start yanking teeth, nails, or fingertips was proving more difficult than he had thought. He had known all along, that the girl's condition would make this acquisition unorthodox.
"I don't think you understand how creative I could get." Daichi slipped out onto an open stretch of road between the wards, and flicked cruise control on. "But I'm afraid I can't take no for an answer, girl." He settled back into his seat and flashed another glance in the mirror.
Leaving his foot on the pedal, he spun, and set his eyes on the handheld. She had placed it as an obstruction in their line of sight, trying to block him out. Daichi snapped forwards and tugged it out of the girl's pitiable grasp, rolling down the window and tossing it out haphazardly. He checked the driver's schedule once more, and marked up the girl's home address on the Bentley's dashboard map.
"Anyway, if you won't tell me where the book is, we're gonna have to go and find it." He flashed another snarl in the mirror. "Won't that be fun?"

Mizuki grit her teeth as the man spoke about getting creative. What an asshole. The girl quietly continued to press away at her handheld as he spoke, practically ignoring him. When he suddenly turned to grab her game and throw it out the window, her eyes narrowed dangerously. He had no idea who he was messing with. She threw her jacket to the side, covering her backpack before she moved to kick at his chair with both feet. Something that ultimately did nothing as she was weak. ”You asshole! I had my games saved to that! Do you know some old games cant be uploaded to the cloud?!” she snarled, glaring at him. When he mentioned having to go find it, her eyes narrowed. ”Leave Giles alone! Why are you so... so intent on finding him!? Stay away from my house or else!” she threatened. The bureaucratic hubbub of the city blocks behind them quickly shrunk away; here there were driveways and hedgerows and even more towncars. It was quiet. There wasn't a suit or briefcase in sight.
"You don't understand what that book is, do you, you little idiot?" There was quiet anger in his voice. He scanned the area from left to right. It was quiet enough. "It's dangerous. And you're a kid. It doesn't belong in your hands." He lowered his voice to a mumble. "Doesn't belong in anyone's hands."
Daichi checked the laminated driver schedule again and begun slowing the movement of the car. He started checking signposts and street signs, occasionally flashing a gaze in the mirror in case the frail form of the girl begun shuffling to one of the doors.
Even if they hadn't been locked, he doubted she'd get any further than a foot away from the car before he recovered her. Or worse.

Mizuki glared at him as he spoke. She didn't keep her opinion about what he said to herself. ”And who are you to decide what anything belongs to?!” she asked, eyes narrowing. ”You're just a sociopath who kidnapped a government agent's daughter!” she snapped. ”But of course, you already knew that, you couldn't have not known with all the research you did- which begs the question what kind of sane man does something like this?”She crossed her arms before glaring at him. ”So, once again, who are you, a clearly insane man, to judge where these things belong?”As she finished speaking, her home came into view. It was a large western town home. The building was stylish, just what someone would expect a high ranking government employee to live at. Through the large bay windows one could see the living room, filled with modern, cold, furniture. There were no family pictures anywhere. There was nothing to show any personal attachment to the house. "Threatening a government official's daughter at her own house? What's this psychopath thinking, anyway?" A squad card drove down through the neighborhoods of Chiyoda, responding to an alarming text message they had received from a source at the Hypnos branch of operations. To the public, Hypnos was an agency concerned with cyber fraud, but in reality, they were a secret sector that handled Digimon removal and disposal. "No offense, ma'am, but why'd you have to come anyway? This is a kidnapping - not a fraud case." The gruff officer asked his passenger, whom simply folded her arms and smiled at this question. "Oh, I'm certain there's more to this." The mature woman responded slyly.
The cruiser pulled in hot, lights and sirens on, into the estate where the girl lived. They didn't expect her to be here, but with luck, it seemed like a car had just arrived - and two occupants were still within it. The officer quickly got out of the car, raising his gun to the car and shouting out to the suspect and the victim. "Come out with your hands in the air! Nobody's trying to get hurt here!" He always took his job so seriously - such was typical of rookie officers. The mature woman then casually stepped out of the car, her heels clicking upon the driveway as she did so. She did not bother to draw her firearm. Instead, she simply leaned on the car and watched the scene unfold, her silver hair contrasting her glaring crimson eyes.
With a sign, the woman finally spoke, recognizing the driver of the stolen vehicle. "Ah, Hans, put your gun down." The officer looked back in confusion, believing he was doing his job correctly. "But ma'a---" She shot him a sharp look, which caused him to immediately follow her orders. "Miss Haruka, I see you've met Mister Kumo, my dear brother. Now, now, this is quite the interesting situation." The professional woman shrugged, showing very little emotion about the subject. This was very likely going to play out badly for the girl, no matter what was done. "Now, why has my brother taken such an interest in you? Your father is a very excellent worker, so surely, there must be something he wants from you, isn't there?" She knew the answer to this already, but it was always fun to make them sweat a little.

It was only the last one he chose to answer. Who was he, she queried. Who was he to choose what happened to her Digimon?
"I'm--" It was about then he saw the squad car in his rear-view mirror bursting down behind them. It pulled up at the entrance to the drive, with a single uniformed policeman levelling a gun straight through the back windscreen, no doubt, square the headrest of the driver seat. He skirted around the side. Daichi took his hands off the wheel and rolled down the window, driver-side.
"You're making one hell of a mistake, kid." It was then that he saw the second body exit the car in his rear-view. Familiar, smart, professional dress. The hair. The face. The familiar glint in her eyes. Daichi let his hands drop, shook his head, and leaned back as he started to chuckle. The officer went to bark at him again when she cut him off. "Afternoon, Vira."
As soon as he heard the word brother, Daichi dismissed the rookie with a single hand signal. The officer holstered his weapon, turned on the spot, and walked back towards the car, shaking his head. The boxer fastened another glare in his rear-view, and let his sister speak, opting instead just to hold his stare at Mizuki as his sister started, as always, to spin her little web.
5 SWIPES REMAIN
01. FIRST AID - Restores a low amount of damage from the Digimon.
02. BOARD RESET - Resets the battlefield to what it was before the beginning of the fight, repairing structural damage and instantly removing any weather or terrain effects active.
03. CARD JAMMER - Immediately disables use of all Digivice card scanner functions of Digivices in the area for 3 turns, preventing the action of scanning cards during this time.
04. DISARM - Negates the currently active effects of a Weapon or Armor card that was played on an enemy Digimon, destroying the equipment in the process.
05. RECYCLE - Discard 4 cards from your deck and recover 2 that have already been used in the thread. This card does not use up a swipe.
06. EXPANSION - Expands the Digimon's to 10 times their original size. While offering increased size, it does not affect their actual strength. Lasts for 3 turns.
07. ELEMENT CHAMELEON - Shifts a single resist/weakness/null of a target Digimon to a chosen Affinity (except Absolute). Lasts for 5 turns.
08. SPIRAL TWISTER - Biyomon's signature attack. The user sends out a stream of ethereal flames to attack, dealing low Wind/Fire damage and a low chance to Burn for 3 turns.
09. CELESTIAL ARROW - Angewomon's signature attack. Launch a spear of moderate Light damage at an enemy. Inflicts Virus-attribute Digimon with Fear for three turns if it connects.
10. METAL WOLF CLAW - MetalGarurumon's signature attack. Spew a vapour of air at absolute zero, dealing heavy Water damage in melee range at every direction. Enemies weak to Water will be Frozen for three turns.
11. TANGLE VINES - Summons forth a series of vines. These can be used to make a surface climbable, or upon an enemy to have a low chance of Rooting them for 2 turns. Vines fade away after 2 turns.
12. SCATTER AUGMENT - Modifies the Digimon next ranged attack to damage all foes in a cone radius. (Minimum 5ft cone, increases by 5ft for each damage category above Tiny).
13. POOP TOSS - Allows a Digimon to summon forth a pile of gunk created from an undesirable reason. Can be tossed at one target to inflict tiny trash damage.
14. VENOM SPLASH - Splashes a single target in a venom, which has a tiny chance (must roll 90 or higher) of inflicting poison.
15. DRYNESS - Dries a 250ft radius with a bright sun for a duration of 5 posts. |

When she saw the police car in front of the estate, Mizuki's smile grew. There was an officer... But he only had a gun, and there was only one. She would have to rely on the cruiser's camera. There was a woman with him who didn't look like an officer... However, when the man spoke about this being a mistake. Her eyes narrowed. Was he just threatening her? As the woman spoke, Mizuki felt her blood turn to ice. Brother? Her mind ran through the situation at a thousand miles per second. There were several options. This man was rogue and his sister worked for the government. At best, she would arrest him to get him back on track. At worst, she would do anything to keep him safe. This man was a government sleeper agent who went after Digimon. After all, it'd be impossible for them not to notice Digimon by now with the emergence rate rising. Best case scenario, she managed to convince them this was a mistake or that the man was insane, Kumo, was insane. Worst case, she was arrested or Giles was killed. The third option was that the woman knew about Digimon but didn't know her brother did. That one was a mixed bag... However, Kumo's chuckling confirmed her fears. It was either the worst option of the first choice or the second choice all together. As the woman turned her attention to her, Mizuki did her best to look genuinely scared and confused. Tears built up in the corner of her eyes as her pale face made the girl look almost about to fall apart. When the window rolled down for her to response, the girl shook her head. ”I... I don't know... I... there was an incident at a graveyard wh...when I was visiting...” Her voice broke as she choked back a sob. ”A... a friend's grave... s...some guys started fighting... I... it was weird and I... I got locked in the graveyard with them... I... they were using weird things to fight... b...but I thought my... my medications were making me see things...” she explained, glancing down. ”...I...I reported the fighting to the police... b...but I left out the weird things.... The eldest Kumo watched with a slight smile upon her face while this little girl wove a frantic story about how she had no idea about anything. It was so typical - they always did something like this, or tried to run. At least this girl had some intelligence, because there really is no point in running. Might as well humor her a bit.
"Oh, the graveyard? The one in Shinagawa, correct? We've been investigating that area for quite some time now. It's a hotspot for thugs." She glared at the girl, as if she had just caught her in some sort of trap, "Surely you must've known that, seeing how frequently you travel there, yes?" As true as these facts were, they really were not of much interest to her. Sure, prevention of Digimon use was status quo, but what she really wanted...
"Anyways, you said you witnessed people fighting each other with weird things. Creatures, I presume." She looked onwards to Daichi, who probably knew a little something about this girl. It wasn't normal of him to waste his time with children like this. If he wanted to fight, it would be someone worthy, or at least, someone that had severely pissed him off.
"And your report is?" Surprisingly cold; one who wasn't just told that they were siblings probably would be unable to guess so. It's always been a weird relationship, though it never meant they exactly disagreed or fought too often. "Why has this girl caught your interest?"

She had a way of doing that. It hadn't worked on him in years. He rolled his shoulders and maintained his stare at the passenger, listening to her start to stutter. The graveyard. Hallucinations. Fighting. She'd called the police. It wasn't until Vira shifted over to the driver's window that he started to speak.
"Girl's got one of her own. Saw it the other night." He made sure to level his glance at her in the mirror, and hoped he could hear her. "She's been lying to try her way out of it. Looks like a book. She calls it Miles, or something." The boxer started to chuckle. As if they were worth naming. As if they were anything other than a few strands of code.
"I didn't know her dad worked for us." Daichi lowered his voice a tone. "Somebody will have to... deal with him. This is fucking stupid levels of careless." Just before his sister moved back towards Mizuki's window, he stopped her. "Her driver's in the trunk. He's, uh..." He grinned. "...indisposed."

Mizuki shook her head quietly. ”I... I only visit once a month... and I always do it before school... I... I leave before the sun sets... I just got carried away that night because it was her birthday,” she explained, her voice still trembling. The girl nodded softly as the girl mentioned the fighting. ”Y...Yeah...” When Kumo started speaking, the girl gasped before gulping, as if his voice scared her. She cowered quietly as he glanced at her. ”G...Giles is in my room... h..he's a story book... I... I took him to the graveyard because my f... friend liked it... when we were little...” Tears began to drip down her cheeks. ”I... I dont know why he wants to steal my book...”At the mention of her dad working for the same people as the two, her face grew pale. It grew even paler when they mentioned 'dealing with him.' The girl looked between the two, eyes wide as she started to cough, clearly overwhelmed.
