So he had seen this creature - just as she had thought. From the sound of everything, it appeared that Daichi was also involved in the incident at the graveyard the other night. It was initially hard for her to believe, as he had not brought back a single piece of evidence from that night. But here we were, and there it was - standing right in front of her.
"Always resorting to some kind of violence. Whatever it takes, I suppose." Vira spoke to her brother, regarding what had happened to the drive. Whatever it took to get one step closer to their goals - they would do it. It was essentially part of the Hypnos guidelines at this point. It hasn't been an easy or clean road, and any employee of the agency has some sort of blood on their hands. "Now, girl."
The agent spoke to Mizuki, once again turning her attention away from Daichi. "I believe this big scary man wants to steal your book because it is actually a lot more than it appears." What was it that these 'Tamers' called the Digital Monsters? "Now, those, I believe you might know them as Digimon, are beings that do not belong in our world, especially not around kids like yourself." Her red eyes glared down at the girl, "Now if you're lying about anything you said - I suggest you correct yourself. I will find out one way or another."

[attr="class","tbox"] [attr="class","uh"] BURN LIKE WILDFIRE WIPE THAT SMILE RIGHT OFF YOUR FUCKING FACE | "What do you expect, Vira?" Daichi shrugged as his sister accused him of violence. "I'm doing what he wants us to do." As his sister continued her interrogation, the boxer shut the car off and removed the keys. He swung open his door and stepped out, black suit and all. He grimaced at himself in the mirror. Memories of all those formal events came back to him. With a heavy thunk, he shut the door behind him and locked the girl inside, with only the window Vira was speaking through left open.
Daichi cracked the air out of his knuckles as his sister continued, and slowly lumbered his way over to the driver-side of the patrol car, where the still-quivering rookie was sat. He swung the door open and beckoned the kid out. He was twenty-one, twenty-two maybe. Twenty-three at a push. He had one hand on the grip of his pistol and the other on his badge.
"Come on. Out." The rookie gulped, and followed suit, closing the door behind him. Daichi had to beckon him twice over to the trunk of the Haruka towncar as he still shook, motioning over the second time with mock urgency. "You... understand who she is, right?" He threw a thumb over his shoulder at Vira. The rookie gulped again, and nodded.
"Yes, sir." Daichi smiled. He wasn't used to being called 'sir'.
"That's good. And you understand who I am?" He nodded again.
"Yes, sir."
"Okay, good." Daichi only paused for a moment. "I need your gun."
"...I--" Daichi wasn't prepared to let him get a sentence out. His brow furrowed. His teeth started to show. Lines begun to crease across his face in palpable frustration.
"Gun." The rookie gulped a third time, nodded, and reluctantly unclipped his pistol, handing it over to the behemoth. "Thank you." Without any further ado, he clicked the trunk of the towncar open with the keys, to reveal a bound, gagged, and bloody driver, portly, unconscious, and in his underwear, curled up in the back. The policeman's eyes widened, and his jaw fell open as he looked up to Daichi.
"Sir, I--" Daichi cut him off again, but not with a sentence, this time. He rose the pistol to the driver, and shot him three times in the chest and once in the shoulder. The behemoth pressed the firearm back into the stunned policeman's hand, and retrieved a Walther of his own from his waistband. He crouched, and pulled the driver's hand out. He fired the other gun twice into the wing-mirror of the patrol car as the rookie ducked for cover, and then tossed it into the trunk, along with the driver.
"What happened here?" Daichi asked the policeman. He begun to gargle, looking from the trunk to Daichi, to his sister, to the rest of the car, to his own patrol car. His face was blank as a sheet. Daichi spoke again, with more urgency. It wasn't mock, this time around. "What... happened... here?"
"...I-I..."
"Say it with me." Daichi lunged forwards and grabbed the policeman's chin. "Self-de-fen-se. It's easy. Go on."
"Self...self...self..." Daichi shrugged, sighed, and let go of the chin.
"Close enough." Daichi went to step away when the policeman tried to stop him with a shout.
"He's... but you're... the suit!"
"Figure it out, kid." With that, Daichi started wandering around the trunk, the driver's corpse, and the shell-shocked policemen to meet his sister at Mizuki's passenger window. "Loose ends are all tied up." He looked over his shoulder. The policeman had his hands on his knees. He was starting to dry-heave, retching air onto the floor. Shock was obviously setting in. "Well, sort of." He shrugged, and gestured to Mizuki. "What's the play with the girl?"

Mizuki uneasily eyed the woman as she spoke about the man resorting to violence. As she was spoken to once more, the girl's watery eyes looked as if they were about to overflow with tears. ”I... I dont know what that is...” she stammered at the mention of Digimon. Her pale face was flushed with fear as she reached up to wipe the forming tears from her eyes. ”Th... the book is on my nightstand in my room... I... it's just a book though.” Her eyes shifted down as her shoulders trembled. In her room there was a red book with a large eye drawn on it. It even had a little paper flap you could move up and down with a small nub to make it look like it was blinking. Inside was a whimsical adventure about Giles the book exploring the world of a library. She had it made shortly after Giles showed up. It would be easy to explain him away like that if anyone found him. It was amazing what you could commission online. ”Wh... why would I lie about a book Mi-?” she asked softly, however her voice was cut off with the sudden burst of gun shots. The girl did what any teenage girl would do. She screamed. She screamed after the sudden burst of gun shots in the neighborhood. Needless to say, the neighbors began to peer out of their windows. Gunshots in a suburban Japanese neighborhood in the middle of the day when students and workers were returning home. Gunshots in a country where guns were illegal to possess so gun violence was incredibly rare. Needless to say, this was going to be noticed. Especially with the screaming little girl.
