Loud, confident, achievement oriented and stubborn, KoKabuterimon is the complete opposite from his tamer. Full of energy, an indomitable will and an extreme drive for success, he forcefully drags Toshiro out of his comfort zone regardless of whether the tamer is willing or not. Caring very little for opinions different from his own, this insect digimon believes that it is either his way or the highway, and can only occasionally be deterred by his tamer. He gets along incredibly well with people who share his energetic disposition and opinions, and generally poorly with people who often disagree with him.

His disposition is generally friendly, but is noticeably condescending towards humans he perceives as being arrogant, his own ego quickly bashing heads with other's people. Being as blunt and forward as he is, he rarely minces words, spouting out whatever is on his mind without passing it through any filter whatsoever. He tends to spout death threats when irritated, though the seriousness of them is doubtful.

KoKabuterimon popped into Toshiro's life suddenly and without warning, seemingly spat out of the tamer's laptop after one of those rare nightly sessions where he worked for longer than one hour. Toshiro hasn't thought too hard about its origin, and KoKabuterimon hasn't exactly elaborated much on his life before the bleached blonde, but wherever he came from, it seems like the one thing he was taught was 'power matters'. KoKabuterimon wants to get stronger. The concept of being a tamer wasn't exactly alien to Toshiro -he was a fan of the digimon franchise, after all, though he hadn't expected it to be a real thing-, and he would honestly prefer to have nothing to do with it. But for better or worse, the D-Arc apparently chose him, and KoKabuterimon does not take no for an answer.
