First and foremost, Kasumi's direct, and more often than not, rough. She's not the type to beat around the bush; if she wants to ask a question, she will. If she wants to express an opinion, she will. And more importantly; if she has a problem with you she will have no qualms about telling you. Using the same metric, she despises any process or action that's unnecessarily long or unwieldy. Mentioning the word bureaucracy is enough to give her a headache.[break][break]
Secondly, she's impatient. When the girl wants something, she just does it, preferably right away—don't get her wrong, she's not dumb, but sometimes sees caution as something unnecessary, as a waste of time or just as plain hesitation. That attitude is prone to be mistaken with either boldness or recklessness, and frankly... it ain't that far from them.[break][break]
Thirdly, she's not exactly the friendly type. A firm believer in people not meaning well until they prove otherwise—going as far as to call it her life philosophy, Kasumi isn't the type to engage in friendly chatter all that much, and probably not more than necessary when she has no other choice. If somebody bears with her just enough for her to consider them friends, however, her personality mellows down a little. Girl isn't a bad a person, it's just that the school of hard knocks has taught her a couple of lessons on trusting people.[break][break]
Lastly, her respect isn't something that can be earned through flaunting of titles or position—it's something they have to earn. Kasumi heavily dislikes show-offs of their position in hopes of getting a benefit or to put emphasis on their supposed importance without actual acts to back those claims up. Of course, this has put her at odds with authority more than a couple of times.

Time to dissect this little girl's personality![break][break]First and foremost, Kasumi's direct, and more often than not, rough. But she grew.[break][break]
The question began to happen more frequently, to be asked with a sterner face and and to be more forceful. Kasumi finally got an answer when she became eight, "Your father is dead." Well, that was rough, but her insistence had triggered that answer that maybe wasn't sensible enough for a child.[break][break]
However, something didn't feel quite okay with that.[break][break]
If her father was dead, why they didn't visit his tomb? Was the fact bad enough to be withheld from her? Why the fact had been hidden for so much time? Kasumi cultivated those doubts over the years, deciding to take matters into her own hands instead of just asking nonstop until her mother gave up. It took her almost eight more years, but she finally found her father's whereabouts, and why her mother avoided the topic like it was the plague, the answers coming from nothing more and nothing less than her mother's diary.[break][break]
She was the daughter of a well-respected politician that was alive. And that had disappeared from her mother's life as soon as he had learned that she was pregnant. Kasumi knew that nothing good could come from seeking him out, but... she still did it.[break][break]
With him, the girl learned the rest of the story; he was married —and still is— with another woman at the time this had happened. He had vanished from their lives due to the scandal the situation would've caused and that... would've still caused today.[break][break]
He offered her money and favors just for a promise to keep her mouth shut; Kasumi just stared... mouth wide open in surprise. She was his daughter and instead of just trying to meet her or do whatever a dad's supposed to do, just trying to buy her silence. The teenager felt nauseated, and after rejecting all those offers and telling him not to worry about it, just left.[break][break]
That episode did a good deal to change her personality and her perception of people in general for the worse, and one would say she's still kinda recovering from it on her own way, even if she kinda has come into terms with it. For now, her life has gone more or less normally... at least if you exclude the weird thing that popped out of her computer's screen a couple of weeks ago.

A tranquil yet rainy night was how Kasumi was conceived into the world. Daughter of a single mother, she still found herself doted upon and showered in affection. As toddler began to grow, the question sprang right into her mind as soon as she was old enough to realize it. Why the other kids had two parents, and she only had one? At first, distracting her from the topic, bribing her or overall getting her sidetracked was considerably easy.[break][break]But she grew.[break][break]
