HYPNOS

Hypnos (stylized as HYPNOS) is an independently funded subdivision of the Japanese government, secret to all save those who know of their existence. As a clandestine organization, they operate by their own rules and generally consider themselves to be above the law, believing their actions to be for the betterment of all humanity. From extortion and bribery to intimidation and unlawful seizure of property, nothing is beneath the agents of Hypnos, for they will accomplish whatever is necessary in order to fulfill their single, primary objective: the control and subsequent extermination of all Digimon.[break][break]




Hypnos has access to an extensive amount of government funding due to a perceived increase of what as been termed the 'digital threat', which they have used to acquire scanning technologies far more advanced than their anime counterpart, as well as the staff necessary to man such equipment. Most field operatives are rarely coupled with a Digimon partner of their own, if at all, as protocol deems them dangerous to humans and typically forbids possession of such a creature.[break][break]

To compensate for this, Hypnos agents are authorized to carry experimental weapons and equipment with them on assignments, most of which are non-lethal for the express purposes of quick subjugation of any Tamers. They are not, however, above using ballistic firearms, explosives, chemical weapons, and other equally dangerous means to assist them in the destruction of larger, far more powerful targets.

As of yet, Hypnos characters will begin with no traits. It is recommended that before making a Hypnos character you discuss it extensively with a member of staff, as it will greatly restrict your freedom and generally disallow you from having a Digimon partner. [break][break]
