QUINN, LANA

Lana is a very nervous individual. She always has at least one worry or potential danger on her mind, leaving her paranoid or tense nearly 24/7. The only time this mentality is subverted is when she is working on her computer or otherwise in her element. She will then loosen up and, while she will not suddenly gain expert social skills, on the contrary, her social skills will be as awkward and untrained as ever, she will interact with someone with way less hesitation or fear.[break][break] Lana is not brave at all. Honestly, anything could scare her if it's unexpected, and her usual response will instantly go to flight, no matter the situation. She tends to judge if a situation, or even a person is dangerous, making her a bit of a labeler. However, despite this fear, she works to please anyone that she trusts, and will do almost anything for them, making her very easy to manipulate. She tends to trust those who personally help her, or someone who doesn't look too threatening.[break][break] Lana is intelligent, maybe more than even she realizes. She'll learn skill extremely quickly, and tends not to forget them. She does have a bit of pride about her intelligence, thinking it's the only thing she got, and tends to be very quiet around those who doubt her, while being even less fearful around those she thinks actually think she is smart. If given a job she will finish it, no matter what, even if it isn't healthy for her. Really, the only thing that will stop her is fear that she will be injured, killed, or thrown out of her safe and secure world.

Lana never had the luxury of a permanent home. Unfortunately for her, her parents were never the brightest, and managed to get themselves in debt anywhere they went, in any way possible, from gambling, promises and many more ways. Lana suspected it was a thrill to them that sort of life, but never said anything, just going along with whatever happened. Anytime the debt grew too large or dangerous, her parents would pack up and leave, dragging her along. Even Lana's birthplace, Ireland, was only her home for maybe a year, she can't even remember how the hills, or grasses, or whatever they had there looked like. [break][break] This life, however, took quite the toll on Lana. As she grew up she began to recognize how dangerous this life can be, and began refusing to leave whatever "home" she was currently in, and stayed locked up with her laptop whenever she could. Various incidents such as a screaming man right outside her window, or her father coming home with bruises only reinforced her behavior, and she grew to be scared of the outside world.[break][break] Lana had many friends online, many who she thought she'd never see. However, when her parents dragged her all the way to Tokyo, and forced her out of the house, she had no choice but to meet with a friend. She doesn't even know why she was forced out of her new house, maybe it was her parents misguided attempt to protect her from their life now that she was an adult, or they simply wanted her out, she'll never know, but now she needed help.[break][break] She ended up meeting with one of her more trustworthy friends, who even allowed her to stay with them for a while. However, Lana was now terrified of being kicked out again, and asked if there was anything she could do. "Anything to do" ended up being joining an organisation, the Web Troopers. At first, her friend introduced her as someone who could do simple jobs, but as her intelligence and general knowledge of electronics became apparent, she was taught how to hack, and became a regular member of the Web Troopers. She was such a regular member, she was given a Digivice, a device she have never seen that spawned a creature she have never seen. Honestly, it freaked her out, even the knowledge it came from a children's game didn't soothe her. But if it was meant to keep her safe and secure, she'll accept anything.
