MASAO TENNO Akio Higashi

Just as Obito was about to explain in detail about the origin of Panthermon-- how he was a long-held idea in Obito's mind that came to life-- till the intimidating voice pulled his attention, along with a great deal of the the room's staff as he appeared. Masao Tenno-- the leader of the Busters. Though Obito didn't know who he was on sight, he commanded a great deal of respect to which Obito gave a polite bow of his head to-- but nothing more. It seemed the man was hard to impress and question if Panthermon was truly strong.

"Excuse me," Obito stepped up, though respectful-- but unafraid of Masao demeanor. "I can assure you Panthermon is anything but worthless." Perhaps it was a reference to his skills as a fighter or pride in the fact he was his 'creator', but he made his point clear.

With the brief moment of their meeting-- he made his point clear, to not waste time with pledging loyalty and to be loyal to the busters or security would walk him out. Obito said nothing. He wasn't going to defy him-- but at the same time, Obito returned Masao's gaze with one of his own from behind his glasses. A defiant, rebellious glare that spoke more volume than words did. Obito had no reason to betray the Busters. Still, it wasn't in Obito's nature to be scolded at.

If anything, the 'tough love' act only made Obito feel inspired to grow stronger, and maybe teach that guy a lesson himself.

The comment about the worms, however, caused Panthermon to let out a jungle cat snarl-- and swipe a claw at Masao's coat as he walked away, just nicking it slightly. With that, the man was gone as dramatically as he came.

"Well, he's a peach," Obito replied sarcastically, wiping his brow for a moment as he composed himself. Curious, Obito turned back to Akio " Akio-san, who was he exactly?"

It was then the woman who had retrieved Tenno , returned to her desk. "Please, come this way. Tenno-san agrees to proceed with registration once we have him analyzed. Any further information you can provide will aid in this process," she said and gestured them down the hall. "Please, this way."

Obito was amazed that the man , despite his harsh persona, was the leader of the Busters. His advice, while cold, was valuable. The chill only encouraged the fire in Obito to do what he came here to go... to grow stronger with Panthermon so he could hold his own as a tamer. If that was an equivalent to a welcome, then Obito felt encouraged.

With the receptionist's words, Obito followed-- and turned to Akio. "They didn't say no. Come on," Obito urged him to follow, and Panthermon grumpily followed as well.

Inside one of the rooms was like a labratory-- all white with a variety of machines. A high-tech, cylindrical chamber big enough to hold an Ogremon, along with fancy scanners and mainframe-shaped machines. Three technicians dressed in white moved around the lab as they took notes in notepads-- one of them behind a computer. Inside the chamber was Panthermon, sitting patiently as a variety of lights moved over him in waves, analyzing his data behind his synthetic body. Though he sat there, the twitch of his tail showed his impatience as he sat there.

Behind a glass, Obito and Akio observed, along with one of the scientists who read details that showed up on her tablet. "He isn't gonna be hurt in there, is he?" Obito asked the woman beside them.

"Oh, no. He won't feel anything," she explained, "The device is a high-level scanner, which combs through and registers data within a Digimon's physical body. It's almost similar to how when you run a virus scan on a computer. It reads through the files to detect anything. The only difference is, we catalog what we scan so it will be in our database for future reference." she explained.

"I see..."Obito said, and glanced at Akio, knowing he still wondered how Obito created Panthermon. It was a very personal question-- but one he knew he couldn't brush off.

"Anyway, could you kindly tell us what you know about him? His attributes and family groups?" the technician asked, "Anything that can help complete our profile."

"Um," Obito paused and thought back to his pictues-- the type of Digimon he imagined he would be. "Well... He is a Mythical Beast digimon, or Holy Beast if you prefer. I suppose he falls under the Nature Spirits and Nightmare Soldier categories? He is a rookie, but I don't know his type though..."

The woman punched in the information onto her pad and smiled at him. "That's okay... For now, we will classify his type as Variable. It seems his data is very adaptable anyway," she explained, and continued to look over Panthermon's data.

Akio Higashi

From inside the chamber, Panthermon's tail twitched and his paw tapped against the cold floor. He had all the aggitation markers of a pet cat kept in the cold, impersonal vet office. "Hey... can I come out yet? I'm getting bored over here..." Panthermon growled softly to the other side of the room.

Luckily for Obito, he could hear his partner from the other side fo the window. "Just bare with it a bit longer, Panthermon. At least they don't stick a thermometer up your tail," He said with a bit of mild humor.

The idea of Panthermon being treated like THAT kind of cat made the panther give a growl at him and the other technicians. "You humans are sick..." he grumbled, but that only made Obito laugh a bit.

At that time, the technician next to Obito finished with a tap on her screen. "Hmm... he is an interesting Digimon. We will want to do additional scans in the future, but nothing as extensive as this," she explained, "Normally we can map a Digimon's data, including their evolutions, but your's seems completely unforseen. He has a great data potential we have no idea how to map. Please, let us know of any developments in his growth as you progress, okay?" the woman asked.

"Sure no problem," Obito said, "So he can come out now?"

She gave a polite nod. With all done, the lab technicians finally opened the cylinder door and let Panthermon out. THe cat gave a soft growl at them but stalked away back to the door. It opened automatically and he approached his tamer. "I can't say I enjoyed that. At least you humans get candy for going to the doctor." he hashed.

Obito rolled his eyes, realizing how much of a silver tongue his partner was learning all on his own. It was amazing how smart Panthermon was-- even if he was created.

The woman turned to both Akio and Obito. "You two may proceed to the upper floors. We updated you and recorded your personal info. You're digivices also been updated to be recognized in our readers. All you have to do is just go into the elevator, it will detect your degivice and let you up. "

"Like a remote key to a car?" Obito asked.

"Simply put, but yes," she replied.

Akio Higashi

"Sure," Obito replied as they made their way back out to the waiting room they had been to before and reached the elevator. As Panthermon prowled inside the elevator, the doors closed and it went further up. There was a pause for Obito as he saw the elevator numbers go up, scaling higher towards the 20th floor.

"So... I take it you have questions about Panthermon?" Obito assumed. The silence was enough to make him want to spill the beans. He knew that Akio had raised an alarming concern that Panthermon was a Digimon created by Obito-- how was the issue. Had Obito been the one hearing it, he too would have been curious as well. He only wished he had a more concrete answer for him. "You wanted to know how I dreamed him up. Literally."

Panthermon just brushed off the conversation. TO him, it didn't matter to him how he was created. He was there, and grateful for it. Even though he was in Obito's image, his mind was something else. So much mystery lied within this digimon's data.

As the elevator dinged-- the doors opened and they were greeted to a far wider spacious area. It looked almost like a stadium, often used for tournaments or other events. There were also a variety of card shops, food court, and small desks with freely accessible computer terminals for people to use. If this was just one floor, there were probably a variety of places too.

More impressive, was the variety of digimon that actually was loitering around. Many of them were with tamers of their own. A young girl had a Byomon with her, while another teenager around Obito's age had an Armadillomon curled up near his feet as he drank some coffee. There were a variety of tamers, more than Obito could imagine all in one place. "Wow... this is not bad... they are all Busters huh?"

The sight of all the digimon and their human partners made Obito feel more at ease. It was comforting to know he wasn't alone as he thought-- that digimon and tamers were far more common than he realized. Of course, he was brought back to the immediate topic-- how he created Panthermon. His joy was dulled a bit as he made his way to the nearby wide window. It was as big as the one in Tokyo Tower and had just as grand a view. He paused as Panthermon sat himself down and looked out of the large window himself-- while Obito glanced at the semi-clear reflection of himself in the window.

"When I was a kid, I didn't exactly get along well with the other kids in school. I ended up alone a lot of the time-- for whatever reasons. Smart, creative-- whatever. It wasn't a pleasant time," Obito grumbled, "Around that time, before I learned about Digimon, I had an idea for a mythical animal based on what my parents told me about African and South American mythology. I loved the idea of a black panther so i drew up one who was a guardian of people during the night. It was just a fantasy story in my head," Obito explained, "I drew pictures of him, dreaming about the kinds of powers and stories he might of been in. When I learned about Digimon, I sort of drew him to adapt to it, made him similar."

He gripped the digivice in his pocket, unsure how exactly he came to be. "But he was just an imaginary creature. A figment in my imagination. I never thought he could be real... at least till I moved to Tokyo last mounth," he explained, "Then one day he just appeared and well..."

He looked down to Panthermon, who looked back at him, calm and collected as ever. "It's stupid to think it, but it felt like we always been together. FOr the life of me, I can't tell you how or why... It just was. And you can imagine, who could complain about having a Digimon partner you dreamed for your entire childhood, right?" he asked Akio.

Panthermon had no comment, especially how Obito had voiced his concerns. For Panthermon, he had no memory of the digital world, or anything-- and yet, he was smart, intelligent, calm and collective. Like a Renamon, it was a highly developed digimon. Was it because he was designed to be by Obito's subconscious, or was it something more? It was hard to know, as the digimon was shrouded in mystery.

The chatter and sound of Digimon and their partners raised a smile to Obito's face as he felt more at ease. It was nice to get it off his chest, but still, it was a mystery that Obito wished to solve. Just what was Panthermon, and how did he appear before him.

Obito was deep in thought, despite all the activity of other tamers around. While Obito probably didn't make his story clear, he then turned on his phone-- the hand drawn artist rendered picture of Panthermon as its screen saver-- and showed it to Akio. "Well what do you make of this then?" Obito asked, showing him the picture he drew-- of the same mythical looking black cat, bracers and all. "I drew that years ago. How do you explain I find a Digimon who looked and is named exactly what I called it?" he asked. Beyond that, he had no explanation.

After a small pause, he asked how common was Dracomon in the digimon universe. Obito had no knowledge what was true or false since Digimon before long was but a game... so he only knew Dracomon was somewhat of a rare one. "Um..." Obito paused, remembering Dracomon's digivolution line. "Well I know that Dracomon is pretty rare cause while he is a rookie, he is considered a primary dragon species. I mean his digital code is the origin for all dragons, that's all I know. He is considered a prince or something." Obito explained, "Anyway thats the lore on him. But his evolution line is crazy. He can become a multitude of dragons when he digivolves."

Looking to Dracomon himself, Obito wouldn't of minded another partner like him-- but he was happy with Panthermon and wouldn't of had it any other way. Still, Obito approached the dragon and gave him a kind rub on the head.
