Akio Higashi sopdetPanthermon and Obito hid in the shadow of a nearby room, on the other side of the hall. As the Akatorimon entered the building-- it grumbled and squawked, but walked right by them. It soon passed away back to the room. He watched as they saw her enter the room and talk to the statues. Obito slowly snuck out from his hiding place and stealthily moved over to where Akio was. From there, he could continue to hear her talk. As panthermon stalked over to where they were too-- Obito rose his opinion. "Guys, I think we should try to talk things out with it?" Obito suggested in a whisper. "What..?" Panthermon replied in a low, dull, 'you can't be serious' tone of voice. "This Digimon seems remorseful. I think its worth me going up there carefully and trying to talk to it," Obito said, a small look of confidence on his face. "What could go wrong?" Obito looked to Akio and the others-- though Panthermon made his objection clear. The young tamer rolled his eyes and adjusted his glasses. "Look-- I won't do anything stupid. I'll keep my back turned to it so I don't look at it in the eye. Panthermon, just stay close to me if things go south. I just want to see if we can talk things out before we resort to violence." With that Obito slowly got up from the hiding place and slowly walked towards the room. "This is not gonna end well... "Panthermon growled to Akio-- and crouched low to the wall to follow Obito. Obito approached the end of the doorway, just out of eye-sight from Akatorimon He tried to keep as quiet as possible and rest his back behind the smoky glass that divided the room. He then raised his arm and gave a small 'knock' against the doorframe. "Excuse me, Akatorimon," He announced in a soft, but clear voice. No doubt the chicken would be alarmed, but he had to take the chance. "Pardon my intrusion. I come in peace. Can we please talk for a moment?" he asked. All the while he kept his back turned-- and his eyes shut, so as to not risk being turned to stone. ANd thus the dice were rolled. (OOC: Obito tells Akio he is gonna try to reason with the seemingly confused Akatorimon. Panthermon hides to help Obito if things go wrong. Cautiously-- with back turned so to not look directly at Akatorimon, Obito calls out to Akatorimon to talk to her. )

"WH-WHAT!? WH-WHO GOES THERE?!" The Akatorimon would for a moment panic as she heard the knocking sound of a door, squawking in a panic as she accidentally knocked over a few of the statues as she stumbled about wildly, hitting her skull on at least one of them. Fortunately, none of the statues were damaged; though the cockatrice's mood wasn't exactly eased.
"OH SUUUURE YOU ARE! AS SURE AS I AM SURE THAT YOU ARE SURE THAT YOU ARE JUST SAYING THAT YOU ARE COMING IN PEACE TO MAKE ME SURE THAT YOU ARE SURELY COMING IN PEACE! SURE!" She'd venomously reply, rubbing her forehead from the self-inflicted headache she received just a moment ago. Odd dialect aside, it was clear that she wasn't exactly the most trusting towards others. "WHATEVER! PISS OFF OR I'LL... I'LL TURN YOU TO STONE! J-JUST LIKE THE OTHERS! I HEARD THE RUMORS ABOUT YOU HUMAN FOLK! YOU JUST WANT TO TAKE MY DATA!" She'd squawk viciously, though there was a hint of anxiety and worry in her threats. Despite her size, she was actually defensively backing away from the entrance of the doorway to the room, keeping a close eye on it. While not outright attacking, she was close to starting up a fight.
Akatorimon is not convinced.

Aki took a deep breath in and let out a sigh. Really we're going to try and reason with it. Why it was turning digimon to stone and it came to the human world. It just deserved to be deleted. But he will back his attempt. Or at the very least just remain silent during his attempt. He was going to continue to wait in the shadows while this poor attempt at trying to convince the digimon to just go home.[break][break]
Dracomon wasn't impressed with this idea either. He twitched to head in and start the the battle when Obito headed over to the digimon. Akio stopped him. He gave Dracomon a look to stay put. Dracomon snorted he was ready to battle too. Akio could sense it and gave him a shrug to reassure him this wasn't his idea. Dracomon held his position. While he wasn't outwardly showing it he was pouting about not being able to fight.[break][break]
After Obito started speaking he expected the digimon to attack him and that he was going to have to jump in to the rescue. But that was not what happened. Interesting the digimon just spoke to him. She wasn't outwardly aggressive to him. But she did give him an ultimatum of sorts. It would be interesting to see what his response is. Akio didn't see this going well and he was ready to just jump in and attack. Personally that is what he would do right now. But Obito was too close right now he could get hurt if Dracomon were to start the fray right now. Guess things were still in Obito's hands.

Akio Higashi sopdetAkatorimon was a stubborn old bird, at least in Obito's mind. All the while, he had to judge by the Digimon hostile words. Even though he was sincere, she had doubts about them-- and it made it harder that Obito couldn't have direct eye contact with the Digimon. He wasn't sure if simple eyesight with it would turn him to stone, or a specific attack that the Digimon had control over. Probably not... considering how the Digimon was sad at the fate of many of her statue friends. He let out a deep breath to calm himself-- all the while Panthermon hid behind the door, ready to move on. "If you are so sure, so sure that we are so sure to be in ill will towards you," Obito replied-- a small bit of sarcasm at the bird's choice of words, "Why would I come right out and talk to you when we could have just ambushed you when you arrived? What would I gain by talking to you directly otherwise, if you're so sure?" Her attitude would have repelled Obito, but he knew the only alternative was to fight. THe remorse that the bird had for her victims pained Obito, and he couldn't ignore it. "Please, Akatorimon, I make it a point of only taking data from enemies who are wild and are a genuine threat to others. The fact that I am able to talk to you now is enough reason for me to try and work this out." Obito explained as calmly as he could. "I would turn around if I could considering your... precondition?" he gestured an arm towards the statues behind him. "Believe me, there are much worse tamers out there who would of done just as you said, but I honestly just want to work things out. So please, if you won't attack us, we won't attack you. Okay?" It was a gamble. Panthermon's tail was all bushy and his growl was one of irritation by how trusting his Partner was. If this Digimon was a backstabber-- he would literally strike Obito with his back turned. "Obito, this is a very bad idea." he growled. "Quiet, panthermon," Obito said and soon took out his Digivice for Akatorimon to see. "I mean what I said, Akatorimon. Please reconsider? If we can, we just want to help you." Obito then tossed his Digivice towards Panthermon, it rattled and stopped at the cat's paws. Now Obito couldn't use it on hand. It was a show of trust, and he waited to hear the bird's reply. (OOC: Obito made one last attempt to talk reason to the bird calmly and toss his Digivice to Panthermon, now 'disarming' himself of any weapon that could threaten Akatorimon personally)

"Wild eh? So what's you humans' definition of wild? Just any Digimon that isn't willing to eat out of you boys' hands like some circus animals?" Akatorimon rather irritatedly growled towards the human, not enjoying their somewhat sarcastic attitude as they attempted to negotiate with her. While they had some decent logic, it did irk Akatorimon. Despite her overall hostility to Obito's claims, Akatorimon growled in mild frustration. Regardless, she seemed to be... at least slightly less angry. "... Hmph! Fine then. I'm keeping my eyes on you folks though. Pull anything weird on me and I'll make sure that you are just dust." She'd proceed to state, making it quite clear she still didn't completely trust them. Fighting however was not something she seemed to be aiming for though. "Don't think I'm going to be all buddy BUDDY with you all though. Don't you all know you trespassin'? This lil' patch of you humanfolks' land is MY land now, and I'm not leaving." The bird would very adamantly state to the evasive humans and their partners. While she was no longer as in a such a defensive posture (even attempting to seat back up the statuefied Digimon now that the threat of a fight was taken out of the equation), she was still residing in the room with the statues. Such a position made an actual attempt at approaching the giant bird Digimon difficult. "Now, what do you folks want with me anyway? I literally just got here, and I'm not particularly fond of the idea of leaving." She'd call out to the two tamers, still relatively suspicious of them. Akatorimon has accepted the truce for now.

Akio couldn't believe his eyes. Some how Obito was talking the rouge digimon down. He would have never thought to do this with any rouge digimon. But they didn't need new friends with the digimon and it was far easier to just delete them and absorb their data. Plus there was always a chance that the digimon might attack on sight. Akio would figure he would just sit back and watch for a little bit. He leaned against the wall he was hiding by to wait. The wall gave out a slight moan as he put his wait on it. He winced as it did it might give away that there was two of them there.[break][break]
He signaled to Dracomon to sit as well. Dracomon gave him a puzzled looked. He was clearly confused at this suggestion. If there was a digimon in the area he was wondering why they weren't battling it. But none the less he listened to his tamers command and he sat down next to him. They were both in a position of comfort for the time being. Which makes it a good thing that the rouge digimon had done the same. Guess they were going to be here for a while, while Obito talked the rouge down.[break][break]
They both had gotten comfortable in their new positions. That was when the rouge seemed to threaten Obito about leaving. When Akio heard this he immediately righted himeself. The wall once again let out a moan but this time it was briefer and quieter. With the immediate change in his body posture this surprised Dracomon and he too changed his position too. He stood up and took a ready position for if his partner gave him a command to start attacking the rouge.

Akio Higashi sopdetObito let out a sigh. THough the bird was rather grumpy and still hesitant, it seemed she was willing to talk and Obito lowered his arms. "COme on out, guys!" Obito called to his comrades, "Its okay-- Oh wait," obito then directed to the bird. "Um... Do you turn people to stone on sight or is it a triggered at will-thing? I'd be happy to talk to you face to face, but I just want to be sure we don't turn into stone?" he asked Akatorimon. Panthermon stepped out from the cover of the doorway, his paw still dragging Obito's digivice by a strap of it. Though in view, Panthermon kept his eyes focused elsewhere to the hall-- so as to not look the bird in the eye, as Obito did. Akio and Dracomon could too come out if they wanted. The bird was quick to squack that it was now her land and her home, unwilling to leave. That, of course, made Obito frown. "Well, Akatorimon... that is where we have the problem. Yes, this place is abandoned, but this is part of an urban enviorment. Eventually, it will be condemned and that means humans are gonna come here and tear the buildings down to build something new in its place. They don't know you are here or would respect your claim to it since you're not human." he explained, "And if you are discovered here, more tamers less friendly than us will come and probably try to attack you to leave. Believe it or not, you're in danger if you stay here-- as would anyone foolish enough to attack you." Though it was true, the tone might have given a bit of flattery to the champion level chicken. "My point is if you stay here, you will be discovered and probably will have to fight someone. If you truly want to just live in peace, we can help you find a home safe for you. Or at the very least, find a way for you to live among here without being a risk to others." Obito explained. Panthermon growled, not liking the diplomatic angle and laid down on the ground. "As much as I am bored with diplomacy-- Obito is right. The city is not a place for a Digimon who cannot hide effectively amongst its surroundings," he added. "Although... if we found her a tamer of her own, perhaps the tamer could give her a home and protect her." The idea of finding Akatorimon a tamer of her own was a possible idea. With the buster's resources, it could be possible to find someone willing to take her in-- but there was no guarantee Akatorimon would even WANT a tamer.

While Akatorimon was still somewhat distrusting of Obito (rather indifferent to Akio due to his lack of involvement with the situation), she at least was mildly impressed that he was asking some smart questions. Saved them both from potentiall having a bad time. "Less ya want to be another statue boy, don't. Glance in mah eyes and you start turnin' stiffer than a damn corpse. It's not something I've damn figured frankly since I digivolved, so don't try it with me." She'd state somewhat gruffly. While she wasn't particularly thrilled with the two tamers' presense, she was actually at least adjusting to them being around. Obito's words however did not strike the bird well though, Akatorimon going silent until he and his partner had their share to speak. She growled somewhat angrily, but it was more out of simple frustration than anger directed towards them. "... You kiddin' me boy? I just got here and you tellin' me to leave so soon? The damned reason I came to your world was to get out of that shit hole Digital World! I heard that you humans' world is supposed to be all comfy, so I thought I'd be able to get some privacy finally... but now you tellin' me I'm just gonna get harassed by human goons with Digimon too!?" She'd question, finding it all to be a hard pill to swallow. "... How do I know I can still trust you folks? Your words are makin' sense, but how do I know this isn't just some trick you playin' on me?" She'd once more ask, though this time it was less her aggressively interrogating them and more just simply wanting to be absolutely sure. While still not able to see her makeshift home's intruders, she did acknowledge that the other voice was probably that of Panthermon. "Here's a question for the Digimon. Why you hangin' with that human in the first place? I've heard humans and Digimon working together, but I can't see a reason first glance. Why him?"Akatorimon has accepted the truce for now.

Akio thought he was in the clear. The digimon seemed to be focused on Obito who was making surprising headway with the digimon. He was almost convincing the digimon to go home. He was hitting some rocks in the path to returning the digimon home. However it definitely seemed like he was making good progress with it. They might get out of this without having to fight the digimon. While that might be all well and good, he was hoping he would be able to get some data from this digimon.[break][break]
Even thought it didn't seem like they were going to fight they were getting some valuable information from the discussion. If they do get into a fight both he and Dracomon knew to not look the digimon in the eye. It would be quite the stroke of bad luck if they did that now. If they do attack they will have to make sure its a flank attack or from behind. While that may not be the most honorable form of battle but it seemed necessary in this case. If it came to that.[break][break]
He was interested to hear what Panthermon's response was to the digimon question. And then he wondered what Dracomon's answer to that same question. He will have to store that away for later so he could ask him himself when they weren't on a potential battle field. He was sure it would be an interesting response.

Akio Higashi sopdet Obito rolled his eyes out of sight of the Akatorimon regarding a 'coochy' life here in the real world. "I can tell you its far from coochy. We humans have just as many headaches living in this world," Obito replied, "Though I am sure the digital world must be pretty hard too. But look, I am sorry this is inconvenient, but if we didn't show up, you might have ended up attacked all the same." However, the bird didn't seem willing to trust them still. Obito sighed, unsure what else he could do to earn his trust. He already removed his Digivice to Panthermon. If he could look the person in the eye to tell him, that could possibly earn the trust. Of course, that was suicidal and turn them to stone. Obito was a bit annoyed that Akio and Dracomon didn't say anything. He already declared there were others with him besides Panthermon. Obito waved a hand at them to show themselves. He hoped they would listen. As for Panthermon, the cat raised his head at the question. "Hm... that's hard to say. I never seen the Digital World. My relationship with Obito here is... complicated to explain," Panthermon said. The origins of Panthermon were unique since he was created by digital data incorporated with Obito's fictious design of a made up character. Even though Panthermon was aware of it, it still was hard to explain. It was as if they always were together. "Well, I didn't make the choice... believe me some times I wish Obito spent less time in his own head and more time with me fighting." Panthermon chuckled. "Thanks a lot, Panthermon..." Obito grumbled. "However," Panthermon continued, keeping careful to not look in Akakatorimon's direction. "I value Obito's cautious nature and intelligence. In his own way, he makes me stronger and a more capable fighter of a digimon. It's different from human to digimon, but we make one another better. That aside, my ability to live among the humans is made much easier having Obito to guide me how to avoid direct contact. But then again, not all Digimon can fade into the shadows as I can." To emphasise his point, Panthermon used his power to vanish from view for a brief moment. Then after a few seconds, reappeared in the same place... as if he shimmered from view. "Anyway, humans may not be perfect, but those willing to work with a Digimon.. can be very... what's the word?" Panthermon mused. "Sym... Sym..." "Symbiotic," Obito corrected, rubbing his eyes as he took a great deal of energy to remember that word at 3 am.

Akatorimon remained silent as Obito and Panthermon spoke, nodding softly to herself as she listened to what the pair had to say. While she disliked the idea that her efforts coming here seemed to have been a futile effort, she had no real excuse now to stay here any longer. Their words made sense to the bird and sounded too genuine to be a hoax. She was willing to put aside her pride as a Digimon for her own safety. "Hmmph. So perhaps you tamer folks aren't just a bunch of hogwash. I've always assumed that you humans just kind of enslaved us Digimons for your own wants and desires... but now I can tell it's not a one-way street." The bird would comment, actually a bit impressed on how heartfelt the pair's speech was. A flash of light could be seen from within the room, the Champion level's body shrinking. By the time it dissipated, all that was left was a pink-feathered bird Digimon that was at least three times smaller than it's original form. Unlike before, the now-Biyomon actually took the time to peek herself out of the room, a rather unsure look on her face. "Well, there ya have it. I don't normally prefer risking being in this form... but I don't think you folks are going to do anything to make regret that decision. Plus now we can look eye to eye" The Biyomon would softly say to Obito, seemingly pacified. "You said you could find me some human folk who could take me in... well, I don't like that idea entirely. But if it means I don't gotta go back to that forsaken Digital World again, well fine by me."The Rookie level Bird Digimon swiveled her head back towards her little collection of statues, a very solemn look on their face. "Just... give me a lil' time. I got some... loose ends I will need to tie up."Akatorimon has degenerated to Biyomon.

Akio was in shock both Obito and Panthermon had managed to talk this digimon down. The akatorimon dedigivolved right in front of his very eyes. This is not something he had ever seen a rouge do before. He was impressed he had even see it happen now. He didn't think they were going to leave here without having to battle it. Up to this point yes Obito had been talking the bird down, but he never thought they were going to come to some sort of agreement.[break][break]
Obito had promised the now Byiomon a partner of her own. He had the perfect idea for this too. It would get her out of anyone hair here in Tokyo and give her a partner that would care for her well. He had shown his little sister his partner Dracomon when he went home last time. She just loved him. She wanted a partner as badly as they come. It was fortunate then that his sister was about to come to town next week. The Byiomon could stay with him in the mean time.[break][break]
"Well when you are ready to go I might know of a great human for you to partner with."Akio finally spoke breaking his silence since Akatorimon had first shown up in the area. "If you are willing to stay with me for a short period of time I can introduce you to a nice sweet little girl who would love to be your partner." Akio stopped and blushed a little bit. He called his sister little but in all reality she was only slightly shorter than him. "Well I say little but she's full grown. You would be in good hands with her. Plus you will be able to get out of this city. It's much more open where she lives."[break][break]
Akio was hoping that this would be enough to sway the Byiomon to come with him. He could understand if she didn't. But he really thought this would be the best situation and home for her. It was going to be great for both of them. He could see the smile now on his sister face if he was able to present her with her own digimon when she came to visit him.

sopdet Akio Higashi Obito was stiff for a time and staying upright with his back turned was starting to make his neck hurt. However, his anxiety soon melted away as he heard the bird Digimon finally allow trust between them. It was then he saw a bright light flash in the windows across from him. The digimon had undergone some change. Unable to resist anymore OBito turned around-- and soon saw that Akakatorimon de-digivolved, becoming a quite adorable and smaller sized Byomon. "Wow... so you could transform back afterall?" Obito said, now able to look at the bird and give her a reassuring smile. "I gotta admit, it suits you. And being smaller will help you blend in better in the human world." She still didn't like the idea of needing a partner, but Obito was determined to help her find a mutually satisfying home. "Don't you worry. I'm not just gonna dump you somewhere. If my friend's offer with his Sister doesn't work out, we can find you someone else" OBito explained, "What is important that BOTH of you are okay with one another. You know, chemistry and stuff like that." However, she needed some space it seemed as she looked back to the room of statues. As before, Obito could sense the remorse the bird had for her petrified victims. They probably were just accidents at best. Pained, Obito looked to the bird. "Is there anything we can do to help?" he said, regarding the statues. "Either way, we will wait outside if you just need some time." Obito then thought of something and turned to Akio. "It's good she could transform back. Her chances of surviving as a rookie is better than a champion so she can be hidden better," he explained. "I'm glad. I was actually thinking a pair of sunglasses would help Akakatorimon from turning people into stone. " So Obito waited, and hoped that Byomon would either accept Obito's offer to join him, or go with Akio to meet his sister. Either way, Obito was determine to find a home that Byomon could be happy with that wouldn't put her or other humans in danger.

"I'm only doing this cause frankly, I think you folks are trustworthy. When ya got a sword like Champion level, ya feel inclined to hold on to it tightly. Ya never know when you gonna meet some feller who will try and take advantage of ya." The Biyomon would comment, taking a moment to preen her feathers. It was a form she had not used in a long time, not since first Digivolving in the first place. Despite everything, she seemed to for the first time since the conversation actually seem... a bit happy? A wider, open place sounded far more appealing than being in this human city. Too cramped for her to stretch her wings frankly. While the man with the Dracomon had been fairly untalkative until now; she figured if he was with that other human feller, his words were trustworthy. "... I guess someone I could talk to would be nice. Only company I've had in recent times has been unwanted company, and well..." She'd say, going a bit silent. She silently refused the offer for additional help. She figured they saw her little collection of statues, though they probably have already got the hint that a lot of those statues weren't exactly made intentionally. The gesture was nice at least. "... It's fine. There's one last thing I need to do though... something I should have done a while ago."She'd turn back and head into the room jumping slightly into the air and achieving a mid-air hover with her wings. "Spiral Twister!"Surely enough, the bird Digimon exhaled out a spiral stream of emerald-green flames at the multiple statuefied Digimon. It didn't take much for the statues to crumble apart for good, data in the form of particles that must have been petrified in time for who knows how long finally released. Rather than absorbing it, the bird Digimon left the data alone; it lingering in the air for a while before rising into the air. Soon enough, it vanished without a trace. "Sorry old friends. Maybe we'll meet another life."The Biyomon remained silent afterwards for a minute or so before facing back to the pair of tamers. "I'll stay here for now. When you ready to find me, well... I'll be right here."Biyomon has been successfully pacified
