Obsessed with defeating other Digimon and increasing his power level, Ryuk has proven himself to be quite guileful and self-centered, as evident by his manipulation of Hadezu's schizophrenia and gullible nature, forcing him to believe they are "Digimon Reapers" employed by a "death god" from the Dark Area of the Digital World to delete other Digimon. Cold and ruthless, Ryuk has no concern for the well-being of other people, especially those of his own kind, driven entirely by his power-hungry ambitions and the exhilaration he gets from defeating other Digimon. [break][break] However, Ryuk is not always serious evilness, his sense of humor extremely open-minded and easily-entertained, whereas he even relishes pranking Hadezu or anyone he deems worthy if he's bored enough. Though a wicked smile is usually plastered on his face, one of Ryuk's pet-peeves is the underestimation of his capabilities, and unsurprisingly, losing a battle with another Digimon. The sole motivator behind his tamer's sinister behavior, Ryuk aspires to become the embodiment of the "death god" that he claims to serve. | [attr="class","dgvc_box"] DESCRIPTION [attr="class","dgvc_text"] The deviant phantom known as Ryuk the Geistmon is a small, ominous creature with large, golden eyes and slit pupils that gaze out from underneath his pitch-black hood. Ryuk's face (and entire body) is concealed, disguised beneath a pure-white mask that has eye openings and a sinister zig-zaggy mouth carved into it. Not an inch of his true appearance is discernible, the lower half of his body covered in a black cloth that stretches out into a snake-like loop. Lastly, Ryuk is equipped with a blood-red cloak and pair of blood-red, tridactyl gloves, which compliments his overall demonic essence. Known as the "Ghost Digimon", Ryuk's ghastly appearance is known to be quite dreadful and indicative of his malevolence to both humans and Digimon alike. [break][break] From the darkness of the digital world, Ryuk the Geistmon was born, his black-hearted intentions steadfast from birth. A member of the "nightmare soldier family" and a virus-type, which neither are purely characteristic of an evil Digimon, Ryuk serves as the dark influence in Hadezu's life, enticing him to act maliciously, even claiming to be the descendant of an extremely powerful Digimon from the Dark Area that has been plaguing Hadezu's hallucinations and dreams. Though Ryuk is an entirely selfish creature, he doesn't mind playing with others, hence why he's cooperated with Hadezu's venture into joining the Nightmare faction. However, his devious plans transcend beyond anything the Nightmare faction can achieve, and merely complies with their mediocre schemes as a means to an end. Constantly searching for entertainment in deleting other Digimon, Ryuk's ambitions symbolizes the dormant wrath inside of Hadezu's heart. |
