Back at it again after one week of rest time, back to the office. That's exactly how it felt. Kimura was tight, let's just be honest, this whole situation fucked up. You leave because some nigga dead lost his life and come right back to another nigga reppin' your set out here dying. And what for? Some shitty ass tournament ran by these dumbfuck busters? Some fuckers online saying it ain't matter, move on? Where all the sympathy in the world go? Life had it's upsides though. He was called back to the tower today on some sleeper ops shit, something he knew he was good at. Did it just a week ago for delivery, may have not had the plans laid out in his head, but he sure had his bag of tricks on him.
Here he was standing right on the terrace with all these other kids and adults playing around. Parents chasing their kids, teenager posting up pics on snapchat or they insta. Only got him more tight. Did they dead not know a murder was connected to this very facility they had running right here? Where was the news, the police, the notice that a man was dead because they all decided to partake in some contest? All to placate the ego of Masao Tenno, that fucking douchebag with no morals and no empathy. Did he not know loss? Did he not see just how serious this is? Had it been anyone else, maybe he wouldn't be losing his temper over this kinda situation. People die every day on some dumb shit, but Kenshin did nothing wrong. Nothing fucking wrong.
This is honestly the second real nigga Kimura seen die. He didn't know Kenshin personally like that, but he knew he was a good person with a future ahead of him. He was real deep in this digimon shit, had mad cards, good strategies, great all around battler. Everyone's been saying it for days now since the tournament started and now they're pushing around his death like it ain't serious. Nerve of these assholes. They'd get theirs, maybe not today, but there was plans underway to undermine the busters leader's ego. All he done did care about was this tournament and now he's gonna see what the big problem with how he's running it is. Where the fuck security at?
It's not like the building was unguarded, just certain restrictions were removed to make it easier to run this event. Shouldn't be enough that you can find where a nigga stay and clap him up like that. Seems like that was how it be. There weren't plans of a response until about a night ago. Someone called 'little dragon' online hit him with that direct message about how this wasn't gonna be tolerated. Ya boi ain't know though, this was on the down low. Didn't want too many people getting involved and fucking up what they were about to do. Thank god he ain't been back at the hideout since this happened, they were probably going nuts. Konchu's got his hands full quelling what might be a small rebellion over this.
Busters were about to reap just what they sow, talking trash about it being Kenshin's own fault. He ain't disrupt anyone in his life, how could they say this was coming for him? Honestly, they should be thanking god ya boi didn't give the order to send shooters to this whole building. Weren't living eye for an eye over some dumb shit like this. Even then, Busters might've not directly caused his death, but they played a role in just how it went down. There were no problems until he won his match, now they do him like this. The more he thought about it, the madder he got. Where this 'little dragon' at? It was the first time they were meeting and he still didn't quite know who he was looking for. Whoever it was had just enough identifying information to know how to pick Kimura out from a crowd-- not like it was hard to.

Kaida was fuming, hands clasped tightly enough that pain radiated from her palms. Her bandana was pulled down and stuffed into her shirt, along with Jorgie, but while this kept her affiliation slightly less obvious, her clenched jaws were more than enough to tell her current mood. She lowered her head as she walked, aware of her transparent face, and grinded her teeth harder as she drifted through the crowds. Don't get her wrong, Kaida didn't give a flying fuck what was "good" or "right". Nothing the Nightmares did generally qualified for those terms, so this was likely to not be any different from what they usually did. This wasn't right, but neither was it right to let somebody she almost knew die without at least trying to find out about it. Loyalty was a virtue, and she intended to return any she had received from the Nightmares, it was a give and take she intended to honor to the best of her ability. She didn't know this Kenshin, but being a powerful member of this group was good enough for her. Someone exceptional wasn't attacked for no reason. Perhaps it was to frighten them. Perhaps it was to show nobody cared to even try to get the killer, nobody tried to help the fallen Nightmare, after all. Kaida was at least getting these idiots sitting out here some information they were going to need. That, and somebody else. #NAFD Couldn't have made it more obvious who's side they were on, but it didn't matter, they thought the same thing, so they were doing this. It was a brave idea, and a partner, no matter how they operated, was going to be welcome. She paused mid-stride, eyes narrowing as she spotted a different face, She had enough information to be confident, and started towards him. She approached casually and blinked at him, face unreadable, " NAFD? Right?" It seemed she found her partner. Kimura Kyōryoku

During his wait, the young man had been scouting the crowd for anyone who'd been looking for him. His expectations were far different from what would meet him in a few moments, but he took to thinking. Someone naming themselves little dragon was probably short, had some kind of martial arts background, or a dragon tattoo on their body. Kinda hard to figure out all but the first, unless they were openly displaying their prowess or their skin. They probably just weren't here yet, or there were just more people matching his description than he thought. All this waiting only bothered him further, not one to remain fully patient when a plan of action was already ahead of him.
That's when it happened, some young lady covertly displaying her bandanna on her chest. Kimura blinked slowly, as if to not believe this was whom had contacted him last night. She was definitely reppin' his set-- all black clothes, their bandanna, the fact she knew his screen name. "Actually, you forgot the hashtag, but you're mostly right. So that makes you 'little dragon'." The young man looked her up and down, trying to get a read on her. Emotionless little lady who was willing to call herself a dragon and meet up with dangerous people. What a way to live life, exactly why had she joined up with their cause? This was what god was giving him right now, having to play with the hand he was dealt.
The first question that came to his mind was had she ever done anything like this? In their earlier conversation, she took a bunch of time explaining what she wanted but sounded unsure at certain parts. As if it was half-made with the expectation that Kimura would finish up the finer details-- not like he was an expert on this. Maybe ran jobs every once in a while back in the day, but he wasn't the main guy making these kind of schemes. "I'm only gonna say this once: make sure you're pulling your weight. This ain't really that dangerous, but you don't seem like the kind of girl that enjoys the harsh light of a DTs interrogation." Usually by this point, the socialite would be flirting with his so called partner, but it wasn't worth it.
Maybe after it was all said and done, they could get lunch, then really start to open up. Honestly, right now he gave no fucks why she joined or why she even bothered to approach him in the first place. Her vibe was off and wasn't being felt, but the more help, the better. Before the entered, Kimura had to put into question her competency, "Ever done anything like this? You look like you need more ride alongs. By the way, it's Kimura. Ain't trying to sound dumb as fuck by talking in code names." Hopefully she wasn't weak, some newbies seem to shrink under his harsh words from time to time. Didn't need someone like that with him-- he'd just do this by himself by that point.

She had to admit, at least he got right to the point. Still, her eyes flickered and she clicked her tongue, " No problem, wouldn't be here otherwise." She almost snapped, letting her mouth pull down into a frown, " You better be useful to." Great meeting already, but at the very least not one yapping her ear off, she was going to take all the wins she got. Ever done anything like this? You look like you need more ride alongs. By the way, it's Kimura. Ain't trying to sound dumb as fuck by talking in code names.Kaida rolled her eyes, but conceded as it was a legitimate question, a competency question she didn't like to answer to everyone, but it was a question. " Yes, I did stuff like this." She wasn't savvy like the Web Troopers, but she could mess around with technology well enough to get this idea off the wall. At the very least, she knew she was better than most people. She shrugged slightly, " Uh, but I sneak better...but I'm good. I can do it. Don't doubt me." She nodded at his name, trying her best to memorize it right there and then, " I'm Kaida." Very briefly, she lowered her voice and pointed to the side of her neck, where the Serpentemon's head surfaced for a moment, " He's Jorgie." Introductions satisfied, she turn on her heel and tilted her head back, " Let's go." Kimura Kyōryoku

Did she really have the nerve to tell him to do his damned job? This person he'd never seen-- okay, to be fair, it's been a while since he's seen a lot of people. Maybe he should dial it back a bit, this was going to be a mutually beneficial relationship. At least that was the hope they both held for each other. The sheer air of his posture was more than enough to tell he'd been confident in doing just about anything in the name of his brothers and sisters. Her frown made it hard to believe the same for her, but it seemed like she had something to prove. Now, didn't they all.
Here she goes with the rolling of the eyes. Rather unbecoming, but what could you expect from doing everything short of directly insulting someone. Apparently, she's done 'stuff' like this before. . . something about that wording just didn't sound right. Really sounded like no other member in nightmare up to this point in time, too delicate, almost like she wanted to avoid words. It was whatever, sneaking should be easy for her-- small, hard to see, blends in well with crowds. Not like he could find her before she directly came up to him, so maybe he could take her word for it. Maybe being the operative word here, all trust is earned by action in Nightmare.
Introductions took place, her name being Kaida and having brought her digimon with her. Why the digimon? It was a simple in-and-out, they didn't need some pet crawling around with them, if everything went well. Guess some people just needed extra protection to feel comfortable, as if she was uncomfortable being next to him. That'll change over time, that was just the natural progression of situations like this. Always had unlikely partners when running jobs like this, but it tended to become more because of the extension of invitations to do other things. He'll think of that when the time came, for right now, Kimura remained fully focused on what he wanted. Not exactly revenge, but a message.
They were wasting no time as she quickly made a 180 and looked towards the building. Usually, Kimura would make some remark about her demeanor, but he was still too upset to. Quickly, the young man started taking steps towards the building and for a second week in a row, made it passed with no problems. Originally, there's a guard asking why you're there, but thanks to the tournament, most of them seem off duty or in different departments. Now to find that backstage entry point. Originally, he'd only gotten as far as the nightmare back room that was used for speeches and rallies during the tournament. As well as betting, drugs, and whatever else they could manage to do in there while unsupervised in the Busters Tower. Sadly, he hadn't managed to catch Juro in the room last week, people telling him he just missed ya boi.
"You don't know the building lay out well, do you?" He'd ask in the hopes that she was still following right behind him. Honestly, he had no clue why he was acting like he was leading, she discussed the finer points of the plan to him. It's not characteristic for Kimura to fall back though, especially given his company didn't seem to be pushing forward. Waiting for an answer, he just looked around until he could find just where he'd gone before. Were they blocking off paths because of what happened or was his memory just a little hazy given he didn't pay attention the first time. Something told him the busters weren't hiding anything-- they acted like they were too good for that at times.

Kaida didn't miss how easily she and Kimura passed into the building, and cracked a smirk as soon as they passed through the entrance, smothering it in a few seconds. She was here to do her duty, not prove a point, she needed to keep...calm? No way was that happening. Normal? That was a bit more likely, considering her normal tended to be angry. It'd probably help her out if she could keep from exploding. She let Kimura take the lead, her eyes roving over the crowds and stalls and... everything before she wrenched her gaze away, " Not really, but I walked around a bit, I know where I was...I never saw the backstage." It was terrible, she had a sneaking suspicion that neither her partner nor anyone she could trust knew for sure where they could go. " We'll find it. No real guards here. Just gotta find the place with guards." She wasn't joking either, most of the hallways were open to the public thanks to the tournament, and the group's gathered together made it far more difficult to tell who was suspicious and who wasn't. She assumed this made it a lot easier to commit a murder, even without the addition of Digimon. Even still, the backstage would have guards, it was too stupid not to, and the Busters were at the very least not stupid. Even common decency would make them at least give someone to do. She craned her neck around and blinked, " Been here. Know that." A hasty duck to avoid a giant of a person, " Somewhere with less people?" She mumbled, and would tap Kimura on the shoulder as she attempted to turn down a less populated (and more importantly, unknown) hallway, " This way. Maybe?" She guessed, clearly a little lost but looking to make the best of her knowledge. For now, she just kept an eye out for a place with any protection. Kimura Kyōryoku

Did she really believe Tenno assigned guards in any area near the tournament? What if one of them came through and actually saw what they were doing? Pretty sure they'd be majorly skeptical of what they've seen and possibly tell someone. Exactly who though? Their families? Thinking about it a bit more now, no matter who they told would first need a psychologist's evaluation before any serious action was taken. Maybe she was right, they had assigned guards, but maybe just not closely enough. Once they got passed the first one, it should be smooth sailing.
At least, if they could find the right part of the company where the tamers were staying to prepare for the tournament. They all had to have separate rooms, not like they came from nowhere on each day of the contest. The plan was to see just how easily they could get into Kenshin's room, proof that they really weren't trying to protect anyone in this place. At least not anyone within the digimon-using factions, even their own people were technically fair game if security really is shit. It was more important to actually get this done than speculate on the possibilities. If you're wrong, you're wrong, but you can't waste time not finding out whether or not you are.
As they continued to walk around, she looked like she had a grasp of the area with more comprehension than he did. Kinda had specific directions of where he was supposed to be and how he got there the last time. Neither was it the same place any of the contestants were staying because none of them knew when he asked. That's when she pointed out a path that she, herself, was unsure of. Really bringing his hopes up and then vigorously slamming them back down to earth. "Is this how you usually do things? Just blind chance in the hopes we get things right?" His questions almost seemed bored.
Kimura wouldn't have done any better as leader, only quicker to move. That was it, he'd check everywhere he could but might end up getting locked in here if they weren't paying attention. The job would get done, but maybe in 6 hours. Hopefully her general knowledge of the building was stronger and they'd manage to make it easily. Albeit slowly, but making it was the purpose of what they were doing and the faster, the better. The young man knew he was gonna get hungry halfway through, just the natural progression of things in his life. Do something important, get hungry halfway through. The quicker they do it, the quicker he can ask what she wants to eat.

Kaida certainly didn't appreciate the question, crossing her arms and sighing, " No. Not usually. More plans usually." The words sounded reluctant, she didn't want to actually say she was pretty lost in the proceeding with the Tower, but at least she had an idea! As soon as her mind centered on the fact, she sneered and continued, " But I know something! That's better than you." Was it completely necessary to try and maintain a little shred of pride? No, but she cared enough to try. The crowd was thinning more, and Kaida didn't miss it and started walking less casually, more able to look around without much fuss. Well, they were getting somewhere. She could see doors that seemed unoccupied and more importantly wasn't surrounded by either people, Digimon, or stalls. Whether this was some kind of hint or not was lost on her, and she walked on, aware that as soon as the covering crowd disappeared, they were going to become too conspicuous. " Hmm...getting somewhere." She hissed under her breath, occasionally stepping to the side and knocking one of the doors. Exactly one answered, and she walked away before they could see their inturrupter. Finally, she tried a more daring move. The door didn't answer, and she made a quick moron and turned the doorknob. It opened, even empty, it opened. Thankfully, nobody was within, and she only spotted some mediocre room. The most comfortable part looked like the bed, which occupied its own space. " That was...easy...really damn easy. Think Kenshin was in a room like this?" She gave Kimura enough time to make his own little investigation, and closed the door, " Not even a fucking guard." They must have thought the neutrality of the tournament would protect everyone, it didn't. They must have only thought that guards actually just needed to be near the fights, a little problem they were soon to regret. " Gotta find backstage. Busters were stupid. Others have to know." Now that she had found something legitimate, no matter how small, something bubbled up in her throat like bile. Some deranged little excitement churned, a huge desire to take the Busters down a peg. Perhaps it was wrong to think of this like some kind of opportunity, but she had to treat this like something or she was going to get too angry. For the time being, she would keep going down the hallway, avoiding any familiar areas that caught her eyes as she attempted to look for either an inportant looking area, or preferably a place with guards. Why did this have to be so easy and hard!? Kimura Kyōryoku

Now she was being honest with him-- she may have not had an idea as to where they were going. So, now they just had to trust her intuition and the idea that she'd been there more in the past year than he had. Walking behind the petite girl, another remark came, one with a more mocking tone this time. Did she really say that just because she had 'an idea', it was better than whatever he'd done up to this point? Bold move, let's hope that doesn't come back to bite her in the ass later on. Almost acted as if she was competing with him on who was going to get this done first, making it less of a partnership in a way.
As they continued to walk through the lobby, they made it to places where most people didn't go to. Things that commoners just didn't appeal to, like large open spaces with no television screens talking about just how great this company is and it's new products. No tours here either, so they must've been getting closer, although that was hard to say. There was no indication if this area was even where the tournament was taking place, just guessing because there was less people interested in being here. Apparently, Kaida thought they were making progress, so he wasn't about to shut her down on that front. Just remain hopeful, not the worst you could do at a time like this.
As they continued down the hall, the young lady started to check doors with simple knocks to see if anyone occupied that room. The first had responded back and they simply left it be, moving on to another door. Really not the best way to find out where they could go, but it seemed like her method hadn't gotten them caught yet. Yet once again being the operative word, what if whoever was in that room opened the door? They'd definitely be told they shouldn't be here-- although it was easy to lie about something like that. There's no security here so you could say anything and they'd have to take you on it with no one else to ask right then and there. Before they knew better, they'd be further ahead and a bit harder to find.
That's when she knocked on the second door to no response, no sound saying there was anyone there. Kaida put her hand on the doorknob and simply twisted it open, wasn't locked or full of anything. Was this a guest room or did they just manage to have that much extra space. "Not really sure, I'd believe the participants would have more room to flex with themselves and their digimon. Hard to tell with this building," Kimura shrugged as he answered her question and took a quick look inside, sticking his head in. Honestly wasn't that special, but it was something-- how did they manage to find an unlocked room so easily?
As they continued walking, the young man heard her reaffirm her plan, that they needed to go further. There should be something more going down the line of this hallway, but it's hard to admit whether they were right or wrong. All that kept them going was a mutual dislike of the Busters and this was their HQ. This was where the tournament was and it had to have something to do with Kenshin's murder. You don't just turn up missing to your match without someone being the cause of your disappearance. The way she spoke was odd to him, as if she only wanted to make her thoughts known loud and clear.
Too blunt for him, she only spoke in short, blunt statements. "Anyone ever tell you you talk like a small child?" Maybe not the right time for this question, but he wasn't going to remember it later, so why not ask now. His assessment was at least half right, maybe around the four to five year age range. Some kids were great at holding a conversation, weirdly it seemed like she avoided having one. Only asked questions to find out his input and stopped short there before they could properly communicate. If she wasn't going to do it, Kimura more than welcomed himself to speak up. They weren't loud enough to trigger anyone, besides it was gonna get rather uncomfortable just walking around with no small talk.

Anyone ever tell you you talk like a small child?Kaida blinked as Kimura spoke up, face blank for an awkward few seconds as what he said really sunk in, then offense flooded her eyes. " Tch! If getting to the point is childish. Then yes. I'm fucking childish." She shifted slightly so that she was walking almost sideways, hands on her hips as she studied this strange Nightmare specimen before her, " Guessing no one ever told you you're annoying?" She grumbled, and for a second, a deep little chuckle vibrated from Jorgie, still hidden but clearly audible. Quite abruptly, a figure appeared in the hallway, a big figure at that. The hallways were emptying out of details too, and she raised her head up and noted the professional air and poise about him. He was definitely a guard, and Kaida hastily looked down. A serpentine head peered up eagerly, waiting for some kind of order...and she almost gave it, except for one little thing... A camera was right there. Kaida jerked her chin quickly upward, for both Kimura and Jorgie's benefit, and she felt rather than heard Jorgie's sigh. Jerkingly, she halted and would try to walk directly behind Kimura, " I'm...not good with talking...do you mind?" It would seem in this situation they really had no choice, and she prayed that this guy had good words to spew beyond a joke. Kimura Kyōryoku

Now this was starting to get fun-- he seemed to be getting on her nerves rather quickly. Didn't even say anything that rude for once, he just pointed out how he felt about the way she spoke. Apparently, it was about getting to the point, in as few words as possible. The other thing wasn't that he was calling her 'childish', although it was hard to distinguish between what they've said. What he was talking about was the reluctance to speak, like a shy child, who would barely leave from their parents side. However, now she was definitely acting childish by flying off the handle so quickly.
Kimura simply chuckled throughout all of this, especially when she'd called him annoying. Oh, she does not even know the half of it, there were so many words he'd been called in his life. "Annoying, cocky, arrogant, ignorant, there's a bunch of things I've been called. Maybe if you'd calm down, you'd think of quite a few more," There was nothing that said he didn't care more than inviting you to call him more names. It even looked as though he was egging her on to continue with her hurtful words, it was far better than stark silence and slow directions. Gave her far more personality from the conversation they'd had online anyway.
Without much warning, footsteps could be heard, coming from neither of them. Within a short moment, the idea to resort to violence changed once the young lady noticed that they were under watch. Technically, they'd already been jeopardized by the fact someone was watching them, but fuck it. Upon their realization of a camera, she came behind him and sorta just shrunk, once again saying what he'd pretty much said earlier. Like he didn't just point out she was bad with words-- thankfully, Kimura didn't feel like shaking his head over it and instead felt a little sorry for her. Been a while since somethings caused that feeling, so he started to get his mind working a bit quicker than usual.
Taking a decisive step forward and reaching back to try to grab her hand as he continued, the idea was simple in his mind. Nobody knew who he was here and he did have a backpack with him, suffice to say there was something important in there. As long as no one had to check it, that was. "Hey! I know we're not supposed to be back here, but I'm under some very strict order from Mr. Tenno himself to deliver an insulin shot to one of the contestants in his tournament. It's a rather serious manner, could you please point me out to where the prepping rooms are?" Kimura did have a way with words very few did, along with a use of tone to help create urgency.
Their sudden appearance and Kimura's creation of a sense of tension caused the guard to scratch the side of his head, as if unsure of the young couple. "Once again, this is very serious, someone could die. You don't want to cause that, do you? Possibly lose your job being reprimanded by Mr. Tenno himself?" Continuing to prod the idea that there was some person with diabetes, it's not as if anyone knew. Most people kept their medical conditions private anyway, which is why he only persisted to create more and more pressure. It wasn't a pressure of intimidation for once, but one that threatened his livelihood. Within a few moments, they were directed to where they should be heading to, nodding politely and thanking him as they made their way passed this man.
It may have seen odd that there were two people delivering this insulin shot, but she had mostly been obscured behind him. Although it wasn't like the man couldn't have seen her once they passed him. Maybe he'd think nothing of it, but it was hard to say whether they weren't on a stricter time limit now. Once they'd made enough distance, the young man slowed his pace, using this time to speak once more. "See? It's very important to be good with your mouth," Now this was usual for Kimura, statements that could be interpreted multiple ways. This time, he wasn't really trying to make her blush through the use of a double entendre, but it wasn't entirely impossible now. Probably wouldn't be too endearing to her, having been mostly frigid this whole time anyway.

Kaida knew there was no real way she herself could talk her way out of this situation, she couldn't talk well, she couldn't come up with valid reason why two people would be here, and she almost certainly could not look convincing with a blank face, she'd look suspicious. She supposed this was a good reason she even brought a partner, for situations she couldn't get out of. She tensed as he grabbed her hand and pulled her forward, mind screaming for her to pull away from the sudden contact, but she set her jaw and kept her hand as still as possible as it stiffened. For all intents and purposes, Kimura was the one about to get them out of this situation, and pulling away would blow their cover. That still didn't mean she was happy about it, and she discreetly kicked Kimura in the heel as she stepped forward. She kept her face neutral and straightened her back as Kimura talked, trying to excert and air of non-nonsense to suit what he was saying. A diabetic patient, clever. Still, she didn't trust herself to build onto his argument so she settled onto looking grim and like this was a waste of time...which it kinda was. As soon as they were allowed through, she nodded briskly to the guard and started walking at a fast pace, keeping her back straight and slightly tilting her head back to watch the guard. He was staring after them, eyes still wide. It seemed he had bought their reason, but they didn't want to push it. She pulled her hand away and snorted dismissively, turning away from the rapidly disappearing guard. Kimura had been smart back there, she couldn't do it, a silver tongue was just not on her list of weapons. Perhaps she would have said something actually nicer about that, if he had kept his mouth shut a few more seconds. See? It's very important to be good with your mouth,She could practically feel the gears in her head turning, and she frowned deeply, " Hah? Do I wanna know what you meant?" She snarled, lips turned up and baring her teeth, " Idiot. C'mon...before you say something stupider than smart." Somewhere in there was a slight compliment, to the display he had put on to get them through, but her snarky tone of voice might have sweeped that away. Still though, they were in, and she couldn't complain about that. Without a word, she took out her phone and switched it onto camera, " Ready to go." She informed Kimura, savage little glint in her eyes. Kimura Kyōryoku

Now that they'd gotten passed that guard, it was hopefully smooth sailing from there. Even was nice enough to give them directions towards where they were meant to go. Now they just had to get there and finish up just what they came for. While they continued walking, he could tell she felt uncomfortable, although he paid it no mind. Just keep holding her hand as long as they were in that man's sights, all they needed to do right now. Guess no one spent time doing this with her but her parents-- sounds about right. Not exactly the most polite person and she decided to join nightmare for whatever reason, probably to be left alone.
Didn't really appreciate her kicking his heel every step they took, it was an obvious bit of resentment. Why was she acting like she resented everything he did? Did he not just prove how useful he was, or was she still too thin-skinned about what was said earlier. Things only worsened as she wrestled with the meaning of his last statement, the intended effect hitting its mark. Time to continue the game, given the advantage he was starting to have, "If you need help, I can always show you later." Another insult was lobbed his way, but not with as much anger as her earlier outburst. Let's build to that, get that in later when it was time to do so.
Looking back, the young lady was getting the camera on her smartphone ready, unsure why now was the opportune moment. They hadn't yet gotten to the room. "Don't you think we should. . . check each room first before we start recording? No reason to waste space and look dumb if we don't manage to find it," Just general statements being thrown out into the air. Maybe she had something different planned and the young man just didn't understand. If that were the case, she'd make it known, just seemed like the type of person that needed that last word. Craved it, almost.
Just what happens when you don't spend time talking too much. Just like how she had a problem trying to confront that guard, although that could stem from many things. Kimura wasn't about to analyze her, not like he could anyway, just paid it no mind and started to check doors. Trying to find whatever wasn't locked or occupied for now, one of them had to be Kenshin's room. It was bound to happen, just needed to give it some time. Thinking about it, no one ever brought up who was going to be doing the deed of tagging it. "So, did you ever take art classes? My skills are shabby at best," Being honest now, this was a pretty decent concern he was holding. Gotta live up to the memory of their fallen comrade the right way, after all that's happened.

If Kaida could look more disgusted in those few seconds, it'd be a miracle. She recoiled backwards slightly as if the words themselves were going to hit her, " Ugh! Never gonna happen." She informed spitefully, and Jorgie emerged and wouldn't leave, eyes slits and flicking his tongue at Kimura like some abhorrent thing. Kaida just looked repulsed and walking a bit faster than him, tapping furiously and ignoring Jorgie's glaring, they were going to learn how to ignore this person at some point. " Sure. I'm just prepared." She wasn't an idiot, she wasn't going to waste valuable space on useless video. Yet they also didn't know how long until someone figured out the were in here...hopefully not until they were gone, but better safe than sorry. She shuffled off to the other side of the hallway, clicking her tongue to call out Jorgie, who coiled up around her arm. Swift eyes flicked under the door as she kneeled before the door, and a quick shake of the head revealed that the room was occupied, and she stalked on. Not a sound came from her footsteps, it seemed her comment on her proficiency of sneaking wasn't just a boast. Her sweep of the rooms suddenly halted as Kimura continued his small talk, and she retreated from the doors, briefly flirting with the idea of pretending that she just don't hear before sighing and answering, " N-not too good...I can draw...Jorgie or something, he can help." A serpent would be appropriate, right? People tended to fear snakes in general, much less one drawn as a threat, " You draw something scary too." She didn't know what, but anything from the dregs of this human's imagination should be terrifying enough. Jorgie had lowered his head as she trotted past the rooms, eyes narrowed before suddenly becoming wide and dropping off Kaida's arm. He slithered far too fast for her to hope to catch him nor call him back, and Kaida would stare at the scene as he vanished under a door...an unoccupied door, Jorgie had noted. " Kimura!" Kaida hissed urgently, pointing toward the room, " Found it." The door clicked, the serpentine resident attempting to open it, pointing out the discovered room. Kimura Kyōryoku

The reaction she gave to his 'offer' was priceless, almost cartoonish in nature. Was she really so adamantly against his company, or was she just some kind of prude. First girl he would've met to be both in nightmare and against these kinds of behaviors. Maybe that antisocial assessment he made earlier was right, not that he took the time to think too much on it. He was having too much fun to say she was antisocial straight up, probably causing her to blow up like before. What was happening now was different though, more akin to his regular games and chases. It wasn't a though of if, it was a thought of when, the only reason Kimura was so good at what he did to begin with.
So, the phone was out just for the hell of it, got it. Once they were there, it would make its use more apparent, but there was an understanding for his worry. He's seen some of the goons literally go on facebook live with their own dumbshit exploits, like muggings and robberies. He didn't take her for an idiot, would've known that by now, wouldn't have done this if he thought she was dumb. Maybe he didn't have as much confidence in her as he could have, only taking a further hit when she said she wasn't quite good at it. Why did she tell him to draw something scary? This was about the message, not about threatening others, they were making a statement.
"Draw something scary. You're kidding right? What were you planning on tagging the place with? Our logo is more than enough for what we need going on here," Kimura pointed it out bluntly, almost as if to make her sound stupid for once. Just like she was doing to him, good to use someones own moves against them. Might soften her up a bit to hear just how she sounded like to others, although it didn't seem like this would happen. She probably already knew, people with these kinds of attitudes were already validated in believing they should act the way they do. Really, it only amounted in them continuing to be pricks to each other.
As they continued through the hall, going door to door as though they were salesmen, checking each door for its lock. A bunch were unlocked, but didn't seem like where Kenshin was staying, it was hard to say. They were generally identical rooms, could've chosen any of them to use for what they had planned. Until Kaida piped up with the fact that she found his exact room, walking towards it and taking a look at what was there. Certainly looked more lived-in than some of these other rooms, with take-out food that hadn't been cleaned up yet and the bag Kenshin back-packed around in. Didn't even have the decency to clean up the place, as was expected.
Placing his backpack on the floor, he'd unzip it and reveal the contents. A pair of black gloves, a purple bandanna, and more than enough spray paint to cover these walls with their message. First, the gloves came on, then he tied the bandanna around his nose and mouth, both obscuring it from view and making it harder for him to breathe in the chemicals he was about to spray. In a single, fluid motion, the young man threw a canister of paint right towards the girl, shaking his own right after. "Still ain't know what you're gonna do, but I know what I'm gonna do," Stated quickly and clearly, the socialite stood and studied the walls, waiting to make his move.
