Shino Chidori

Shino is a rather direct, intelligent person. The value of knowledge and information is most important to her as she is a skilled hacker and takes in situations with a cool head. She is not easily rattled. She keeps a cool, calm demeanor that almost comes across as 'cold-hearted' to those not familiar with her. If there is one emotion she shares more freely is her temper. She is not afraid to use a silver tongue to reply back and when truly angered, she wont hesitate to respond with a temper. [break][break]
She feels the need to be cold and somewhat fierce in the face of people because her trust in people is very frail. Her events had led her to not have much faith in people and that the only person one can really depend on is herself. She tries hard to keep up a strong front, often to use sarcasm as a means for others to not see she can be vulnerable-- however, at times, that cold shell tends to crack. Though her faith in people is weak, she easily is swayed to help someone in need, be they be a child or wounded animal. Behind her icy exterior, a warm heart strives to break through to feel companionship again.

Shino was a young girl in the country. She was raised by a single momther, who worked as a data researcher. Despite the lack of a father, Shino was happy till she was about 10. One day during the spring, her mother disappeared. She never learned what happened to her and the police were unable to find any trace of her. As a result, Shino moved around from foster home to foster home. The result often came at coming and going from different schools. The mystery of her mother left her feeling lonely, and isolated her from interacting easily with others. At one point, one of her foster homes ended up with an abusive father-- who had beaten her on a few occasions. [break][break]

Though the abusive foster home was dealt with, it made Shino more enclosed and less talkative. However, it was then that a family friend, who had only just learned of her mother's disappearance offered to take custody of her. Though hesitant, she accepted the aid of her family-friend. The man was named Sojiro, a person responsible for the Japanese police cybercrime division. Though retired, he did much consult for them. Curious about his work, Shino asked to learn about his work-- and soon developed hacking skills of her own. [break][break]
Slowly, Shino recovered from her shock-- but the scars of her missing mother and trips through foster care left her untrusting of people. While developing a sense of reliance in only herself, not willing to blindly put her trust in others. Her lack of social interaction led her to dive into the internet a lot, where she slowly became a skilled hacker known as "Hecate". This double live as a hacker, while still upkeeping a respectable school front, allowed her to soon grow into contact with other organizations--
including unknowingly the "Web Troopers", which would lead her to be recruited.[break][break]
Among her hobbies involving hacking are reading, first-person shooter MMOs and strategy games. Her favored role is that of a sniper in the games, enjoying the strategy with long-range combat.
