He can be fussy and precise, keenly interested in details. Of the two, it's Dolph who ensures all the T's are crossed and i's dotted.[break] He's more outgoing than his tamer, but like Louise isn't a social butterfly. He values politeness, and tries his hardest to teach Louise about decorum and good manners.[break] Dolph likes to avoid conflict, and prefers dialogue to fisticuffs. He firmly believes throwing the first fist is a loss, but all the same isn't beneath retaliation for (petty) perceived slights. | [attr="class","dgvc_box"] BIOGRAPHY [attr="class","dgvc_text"] He was born to be her guardian angel. Dolph believes this to be his true origin, and reason, with all his being.[break] The truth is less romantic. The truth is that Dolph was born for no reason whatsoever. That he left the Digital World fairly soon after being born was an accident, not predetermined. Destiny had no hand in it.[break] That he had stumbled on a sullen Louise then, too, had been a meeting of pure chance. But in that, Dolph found reason, purpose, and the name he uses today.[break] At first, he was content to be by Louise's side, posing as a valuable toy she had found somewhere. And her parents, reluctant to take a reticent child's favoured toy, never examined him too deeply.[break] Over the years, Dolph grew closer to Louise. He became friend, then confidante, and finally the closest thing to a sibling. What he wished for was a shape that could stand beside Louise in broad daylight, to support and protect.[break] When he finally digivolved to Lucemon, Dolph was ecstatic. It meant he could do what he'd only dared dream of. Convincing Louise to buy him clothes was easy enough; managing to fit into the clothes was a challenge. Carefully folding his wings and wearing loose clothes means he can at least pull off a slightly chubby look. Who always has to wear a cap to hide the wings on his head.[break] A sacrifice Dolph readily makes every day now. Louise's latest challenge, to visit Japan and find real love, leaves Dolph troubled in more ways than one. But he persists, even as he discovers a heretofore unnoticed feeling, whenever he imagines Louise falling in love with someone... |
