From the way his face contorted with a slight bit of frustration was rather unbecoming. Exactly what he meant by acting sorry, he was sore over this loss, whether it was at himself or his opponent. Seemed like he really wasn't learning much from this, even when he said he was. What he wanted was most likely retribution, to prove him wrong about his strategy and show him what he could do with something more powerful. Yeah, sure, using better weapons would make you inherently stronger from that point on, but that's not what this was about at all. There was more to learn first, but Kimura hadn't been much of a teacher, couldn't stand being patient with people who didn't understand him at first glance.
We're talking about people here which, when put into a large enough group, did tend to look rather stupid when something was being explained to them. Maybe just a habit learned from the education system, knowing they had to accept dumbed down explanations for those who needed the extra guidance. Either way, nothing he said was more valuable than getting more experience, which is what he did ask for. First, he should get experienced at his current skill level than try to move up to his immediately. Pretty odd that he'd think this about a game he's only played once, but fighting was like breathing to him now. There was more than enough proof that he worked best under the pressure and stress of a tense moment, like the middle of a fight.
Of course, that didn't always happen, sometimes your best moves become your worst follies if you don't keep them in check. Something he could've figured out about this Kamigawa kid, but it didn't appeal to him as much anymore. He was less angry, less stressed, and just cared less about everything in general. He could tell him off and just walk away, but it wasn't necessary. Instead, he got a phone call in the middle of Obito telling him to wait, answering it quickly. Looked like a flip phone rather than most peoples average smartphone, a strange detail for these modern times. Someone savvy enough might've put it together by now, why he had this phone along with him today.
The call ended shortly, Kimura telling them he'd be there in a matter of minutes and pulling out his actual smartphone. With a simple few flicks of a fingertip, he'd been calling for a cab, looking back at the black-haired peer before leaving. A simple sentence was spoken, "I have better things to do than teach you the basics of combat, sorry." There could've been much more scathing remarks, but it's not like it mattered. What did he gain from humiliating this kid? Didn't feel better about himself, but also didn't want this guy thinking he could just use his name like they were friends.
