Louise had considered Brexit, and then arranged her own version. The trip had taken the better part of the day and then some, only parts of which still sat in her memory. She remembered being uncomfortably strapped in her seat, and holding Dolph's hand tightly. She remembered her father, and the way his moustache'd tickled her when he kissed goodbye. But the journey was a haze of vague memories. Now, she stood in Tokyo. The heart of a nation she had adored and loved. More importantly, the heart of the anime culture she adored. "Isn't it exciting, Dolph? We're just about to reach it. Animate! S'like a dream come true," she said. She stood arms akimbo amid the throng of people in Chiyoda's Akihabara Station. "Yeaaah... very exciting, s'what it is. Not." Dolph's expression was the opposite of Louise's: he sulked and frowned unhappily. "You haven't rested properly. You ought to─" "Oh I know! But c'mon, Dolph. S'a once in a lifetime opportunity," Louise said. She took Dolph's hand and squeezed it. "You'll see, you'll love it. It'll be great. Animate. It's Animate." Well, she added to herself, I haven't the foggiest where to go, but we'll figure that out. Louise navigated a path through the station's crowds, while Dolph followed with complaints and nags. "You'll be jet lagged," he pointed out. "Y'haven't rested at all. You'll feel horrid." But Louise ignored it. She loved Dolph, and knew he had only her best interests at heart, but he was a nagger worse than her mother. After what felt like an eternity of pushing past people, slipping through gaps in the crowd and shuffling beside the wall, Louise finally stumbled out into the open and breathed in the fresh-but-not-very-fresh outdoors air of Tokyo. "Well, that's the first step done," she said. "Now's the second step. The important one. Find a way to─ Dolph?" She looked around her, but Dolph was nowhere around. Had she lost him in the crowd? Well. That was quite alright. She'd find him later with the Digivice, and if not, surely he could find his way to her sooner or later. Now if she could find her way anywhere, that'd be great, too. There was a café nearby: she knew because it said 'Music bar'. To the left there was an alley with a lot of Japanese signs she didn't understand at all. In front was a tall building and a street sign that read 'Showa-dori' on the left, and 'Chuo-dori' on the right. What was a Showa-dori anyway? First things first, she needed to find Dolph. He could translate the signs she didn't understand. The girl took out her Digivice. Tried the device around a bit. Well, that was the darndest thing: it said Dolph was right around her. Not that she could see him. She didn't really want to ask anybody. Talking to people was... it wasn't like she hated it, but she didn't like it. But they were her best bet, and Dolph probably stood out. She tried her luck with the first passer-by, but stumbled on her Japanese. Louise managed a few words, but the man marched on without sparing the girl much time. She breathed in. It was okay. This was Japan. Even the great nation of Japan would have a few old cunts. Louise tried again. "Apologies! I... Boy. Blonde." She gestured, trying to convey his height. "Hat. Seen?" Locational Reference

Phew. These last days had been so hectic that Kasumi wasn't even sure what day was today after all the stuff that had transpired on the Busters' Tower. It genuinely felt like an eternity, even though it all had transpired mostly in one day. For now, she just felt the necessity to unwind. Having a day off from her student obligations felt nice, and she was bound to make the most out of it. Heck, the redhead even felt in an overall better mood than usual. In fact, she didn't even felt bothered when some ferner began to ask her questions in a bit of a rudimentary Japanese. She tried her best to speak slowly and use simple words. "Huh. Searching for a small boy?" Given how crowded the street was, that'd be a bit difficult. Had she seen him? She actually thought she did, actually... probably. "I... think I've seen him. Follow me." If words weren't enough, she'd just make some gestures signaling for her to follow. Whether she did that or not was up to her.

Louise wasn't sure the girl'd understood her. But she understood the girl perfectly. Or at least, she understood the girl mentioned short, boy and, if she wasn't mistaken, 'follow.' Things were coming up Louise! Well, she did figure it'd be all right anyhow. What could ever go wrong? " Right-o mate, I getcha," she said. In Japanese, she added, "I understand. I'll be in your care." Louise made to follow, but paused. " He ought to be 'round here somewhere," she said. "Boy. Brother," she added, gesturing around them. ### He'd lost sight of her. It didn't bother Dolph as much as he'd imagined. He glanced out the window. 'Music bar PLAYER Akihabara', he noted. Looked like they'd gotten off at the right place at least. Then Louise'd probably be scrambling around somewhere. He sighed. It did bother him. He'd lost sight of her. What to do? Louise knew how to find him. He'd just have to sit tight. Small blonde boy, small blonde boy... Kasumi tried to lead her newest acquaintance towards the place she thought she had seen that small boy. If that was the boy at all, even. The redhead nodded the blonde's comments; in all frankness, she had less trouble understanding her English than her Japanese, even if she... struggled a bit with her dialect. Not something that was important at the moment, though.
It was for naught, though. There wasn't even a sign of a blonde head on sight that wasn't evidently bleached, even. Sighing with a bit of disappointment, Kasumi's gaze went back towards the other teenager. "He probably walked off to somewhere else. Any idea where?" She hoped the girl knew her brother enough to make an educated guess on where he could be. Otherwise, this would probably be a long search
Meanwhile, the Mirrormon on Kasumi's backpack began to sense a digimon in the vicinity. Would be one of the dangerous ones, somebody hiding out just like him, or... something else? For now, he remained silent about it. @freestyle2

Louise nodded with thoughtful comprehension even as she understood nothing at all of what Kasumi was telling her. Something about a boy. " Look, y'know what? I'm gonna be honest here," Louise said. She held up her hands. "I completely do not understand. "But I... happier... um, your help?" she added uncertainly. It wasn't as though she hadn't studied Japanese at all, but what with all the other languages scurrying about in her head, she found herself thinking of a French word more often than a Japanese one. And Louise was quite certain no Japanese person would ever put the word 'dommage' in their mouth unless they were Frenchly inclined. Not that that was a word. "I study," Louise said. "I love anime. So... Japan, very exciting." She nodded. "England. Seen it?" Japan was exciting and all, but there was something about home, too. ### Dolph did some desultory wandering around, staring out the window on occasion and, on the whole, looking to see if he could find a certain blonde swimmer girl. There were plenty of blonde girls, but it'd be more accurate to say they were bleached. The few blondes he did see, they didn't resemble Louise at all. Too cheerful. Too expressive. Too many friends. He couldn't imagine Louise, with her nigh-impossible to tell facial expressions, holding the attention of any group of people long. Unless it was negative attention. She was good at that. Queer, that, for an otherwise positive, friendly and caring person. He passed a door, then another, and before long was out in the open again. Sauntered into an aleyway. Looked suspiciously a lot like where he was before, except this time he was outside. He stared at the sign again. Akihabara's this close, huh. Louise might've dashed on ahead. Well, impossible. She'd never leave me behind. He turned and made to move, but was instead bowled over by something heavy. "Thief!" someone shrieked. ### Behind them, there was a sudden outburst of energy. A multitude of shouts, some jostling. Shouting. Too much shouting. Louise squinted. She could already feel an episode coming up. Needed to go someplace quiet. A shriek rose from the crowd. Louise had no idea what it meant. But a man emerged from the crowd, pushing his way through this and that, such and so. He was clutching a bag like it was gold, spied around like a squirrel and then pounded down the alleyway Louise had come from just moments before. That was the train station entrance, wasn't it? The one with the karaoke bar nearby? Why was the man so hurried? A few people tore themselves loose from the crowd to point and shout after the man, and a number began fiddling with their phones. "Police!" one man shouted, alongside a number of other words. It was just the one Louise understood. Comprehension dawned. " Ah. He nicked something, hasn't he?" Louise groaned. "Mediocre?" she asked, though she meant 'Common'. Kasumi Iwamoto

Well, there being some little inconveniences during their exchange was more or less bound to happen. For a second, Kasumi stared thoughtfully at her new acquaintance before trying her best at English.
"No problem, uh..." She was a bit at a loss on how to exactly reply, so she ended up, shrugging then nodding. "Anime, good. England, yes! There, last year. Queen's birthday, yes?" There. Despite her understanding most of the blonde's words, she wasn't all that proficient at speaking. Hopefully, it'd be good enough for them to get by.
Their conversation would've probably gone like that, somewhat awkwardly but otherwise more or less pleasantly if it weren't for the sudden shout. A robbery? Kasumi's eyes darted on and about, trying to locate the culprit, and as soon as they did, she bolted in his direction. She wasn't a hero wannabe or anything of the sort, in all honesty, but missing the opportunity to beat someone up was something hard to ignore right. The bad side is that anything her new acquaintance might've said was lost in that very moment.
The redhead was fast and nimble, and in case she managed to catch up with the thief, she'd tackle him right into the ground and probably apply a lock in order to make him submit. With... just a little more force than needed, of course. @freestyle2 Did the same than you. Underlined = English

He'd always belonged to the group of people "who gave". His mother had firmly belonged in the group "who took"─his dreams of becoming a musician, for example. He'd wound up a salaryman, as she'd wanted. Then when he'd moved out, it had become his girlfriend who took. Oh, she never really 'took'─but she'd ask him for gifts, clothes and diamonds, oh the diamonds! But when his savings ran out and he'd had to say 'no', she'd packed her stuff and drove off. In his car. But today was different. Today he'd woken up knowing it was going to be a new day. A new era. He was going to be someone "who took". That's why he was now holding that purse. It was an important first step. Everyone in society was always taking advantage of everyone else; why shouldn't he? "Yeah! Go get him!" someone cried behind. He craned his neck. Saw a redhead sprinting at him. Fast. But he wasn't going to be taken in. Today, he was going to win. So he redoubled his speed. Flew past the McDonalds. Pushed through the throng of people, bounded over the crossing. He wheezed, slowed down. Too out of shape. He hadn't done any sports since... gods, since school. Had he lost the girl? He looked over his shoulder... ### Before she knew it, her guide had sped off in hot pursuit. " H, hey! Ya can't just leave me hanging!" Louise shouted, but to no avail: Kasumi was flying off like an arrow. She sighed and ruffled her hair. There was still the clamouring of people nearby, concerned with the old lady that'd been shovelled to the ground. Part of her felt like she ought to help, but... There's at least six people helping her up, innit? Don't need my help. She hesitated for a moment longer. Bit her lip. She said she'd seen Dolph. Louise began her own pursuit. She wasn't as fast as Kasumi; honestly, she was never any good at sports anyhow. Winning any kind of swimming competition was a stroke of pure luck, nothing impressive. How'd someone run well again? Deep breaths. Out, out, in, in. Was it out through the nose, in through the mouth for running as well? Or was that different? Louise huffed and passed a McDonalds. She could see Kasumi crossing the, well, crossing with remarkable haste. Her own tempo she'd describe as a canter. She was surprised she wasn't all that out of breath. I can do this then, huh? Louise smiled despite herself. She almost hit the crossing when someone grabbed her arm and pulled her back. Hissed something at her in Japanese, while pointing harshly at... oh, a red light. Louise looked helplessly at the other side. Where'd the other girl gone? Oh. On the other side of the crossing, she saw a group of people clustering. She caught 'im then, eh? Good for her. Good for everyone. Well, except the bloke what stole something. But can't all be winners. Some people didn't have what it took. Definitely not her. Kasumi Iwamoto

That had been an exhilarating experience. She knew that civilians weren't supposed to intervene when stuff like this happened, but what gave? Kasumi wasn't the type to just bring a phone out and film the whole thing while doing jack shit.
And that's how she was on top of a thief now. Guy seemed to have admitted defeat at this point, and the police was already on its way, even if the person who supposedly had its purse stolen now finally had it back.
Finding her job done, she stood up and went out of the crowd as soon as she could, not minding to give some well-placed pushes and shoves on the way. She remembered the blonde girl and how she had ditched her. Where could she be? Was she even interested in following her dash? Was the blonde dude she had seen earlier any close, either? With any luck, he'd also be near the place where she currently was and she could get two birds with one stone.
Observing wasn't one of her strengths, and she actually was a little on the short side, so... it was more or less up to luck at this point.

Louise watches the scene from across the street. The red-headed girl, pouncing on the criminal who, really, hardly looks like a criminal at all. At least, not from a distance. But there isn't much time to look, because soon enough people are swarming over and the police are elbowing their way through the crowd. They shout that people need to give them room, and before long they reach the centre of the impromptu gathering. And not long after that, they carry the man out inbetween the two of them, and they walk off. Then she spots the red-headed girl getting out of the crowd, considerably easier than the police officers got in. " I'm right o'er here!" Louise hollers, and she waves and takes a small trot to the girl. " That was brilliant though, s'what it was. Haven't seen anyone speed off in a while. I mean, not like that, I haven't," she says when she's close, and she nods approvingly but her voice never quite loses the dullness from before. " But you can speak English then, en't it? That's brilliant, makes it easier," Louise continues. " I mean, my Japanese's pretty bad, I'd say. Prolly a good idea to use English instead. Gods, Dolph said you guys wouldn't, well. Couldn't speak English well, eh?" Though come to think of it, she'd spoken pretty bad English. Now Louise's reconsidering whether she should talk English. "Let's little boy finding?" she tries. Oh, there she was. Scurrying through the crowd wasn't easy, but was doable. However, she had a new problem at hand.
Sides her initial words, she could barely understand what the blonde was trying to tell her; it was almost as if she had invented a language and pretended she knew it! English people could be scary "Huh..." Kasumi mumbled, a little dumbfounded, but ultimately decided to not to ask about it. Instead, she focused on her Japanese. That was considerably easier. "Alright. Let's go."
Now, where the blonde boy must've been hiding. Maybe he was drawn to the ruckus of the robbery? Finding a natural blonde face should be easy, and so... they began to look again.
They've covered a good portion of the block already so... hopefully he was near? @freestyle2

It doesn't escape Louise's notice that the girl does indeed choose to use Japanese. She decides she's right, and the Japanese's English must be pretty weak. But there's something more important to Louise than Japanese and English, interesting as both subjects are. They begin their search anew. Louise makes it a point to use only her eyes, although she considers a few times to cup her mouth and shout. But then, that's unseemly. Louise decides she rather won't stand out too much. ### Dolph scrambled to his feet, even as he heard the pounding of feet across the pavement. For the briefest of moments, he caught a glimpse of a red flash speeding past him, and not long after there was the softer and slower chase by... "G'lord..." Dolph mumbled. He stumbled to his feet. A'course, not a one what's helpin' me out... He didn't quite share Louise's enthusiasm for Japan. Why Japan, anyway? Of all countries, she had to go Japan. It wasn't as terrible as America (that was really the pits), but all the same he'd rather have gone to maybe Australia, or China. Dolph followed the two girls at a trot at first, but soon slowed his pace to an amble. What use was there in chasing too hard? Louise'd get her mistake soon enough, he supposed. And the other girl wasn't any of his business. Even if she did chase the guy what'd bowled him over like he was some... bowling pin. He stared at the buildings. Too high for his tastes. Cities weren't his thing. Surprised Louise thought they were her thing: too many lights, too many noises. Wasn't that supposed to be her thing? Dolph shrugged, though it was habitual: there was no one who paid any attention to him anyway. Until... ### "Dolph! Oh thank god, there y'are. Ya had me worried, bud." Louise breaks into a jog when she spots the familiar hat and blonde locks, and before long she stands in front of Dolph. She holds her hands firmly in her pocket, and doesn't hug him though. "Watch where you're going next time," Dolph says sourly. "Can't just leave me alone. Who'd translate for you?" Louise shrugs. "Iunno. It'll work out. Well, has worked out." She gestures towards Kasumi behind her. "We had an honest, genuine talk." "Reaaaally?" "Well, okay, maybe not." "That's what I thought." Dolph passes Louise and stops before Kasumi. Switching to Japanese, he says, "Thanks for looking after my sister. She's a bit of a dunce. I'm Dolph." He notices the crowd across the street. "You caught that─ uh─ that thief?" With a grimace, he adds, "Hope you punched him good for me. Bastard ran me right over." Louise just stares blankly at the McDonalds nearby, having no clue what Dolph's saying beside choice snippets. Ano being the easiest part. Kasumi Iwamoto

That had been... quite the experience, in all honesty! Kasumi wasn't even sure how to react to it, and was even more surprised when, at the end of it, her new acquaintance seemed to just stumble into the person she was looking for. Well, talk about coincidences.
She responded the boy's greeting with one of her own, waving dismissively at his words. "No biggie, mate. I'm glad you two could find each other. Pleased t'meet cha, Dolph. Name's Kasumi."
Considering the ruckus currently happening outside, the redhead wondered if getting that criminal in such a way had been even productive. And hoped she wouldn't get to appear in any newspapers or something. That'd be awkward, anynow... "Well, I kinda made him crash into the street. Kinda thought about applyin' a lil' more pain, but in the end I didn't want problems for myself so... better if I just scram. You guys up to anything else or..."
At this point, it was pretty obvious that the teenager wanted to get as far as she could from this crowd. Having to face microphones and recording machines and cameras wasn't on her list of things she wanted to do, so depending on the kid's answer, she'd just scram or maybe remain with them a little longer. @freestyle2

Dolph was quick on the uptake, and realised Kasumi's growing unease. "Well, punch 'em in the face next time for me," he said, then quickly continued, "In any case, sis and I were planning on hitting Akihabara. She's into that sort of stuff, you know?" He gave Louise a gentle push and motioned for Kasumi to follow, and the group set off to depart from the crowd. And back on track for Akihabara. "So how did Kasumi-sama and sis meet?" Dolph said as they walked. "She wasn't being a pain, was she?" He gave Louise a look. For her part, Louise tried feebly to ask Dolph a few times to translate, but the Digimon stalwartly refused to acknowledge her. "If she was being an absolute pain," Dolph continued, "you should tell her. She doesn't mean bad. Even if that bland face of her says otherwise. So if you tell her, she'll back off." Louise'd taken to pocketing her hands and staring up at the skyscrapers surrounding them. Kasumi Iwamoto

Plan was good enough for her, in all honesty. Any place that wasn't there would probably be an amazing idea for Kasumi. After smirking at the kid's words and nodding, she smiled briefly. "Sounds like a plan, I guess. Lead the way."
The relationship between Dolph and Louise was a fun one for sure; somewhat reminding her of her own relationship with Mirrormon, she couldn't smirk a little at their shenanigans. They were a handy bunch, weren't they? Guess that's how it felt to have siblings...
She was suddenly thrown off by the formal honorific thrown at her, however. -sama wasn't something that was directed at her every day. Or at all, for that matter; she seemed to be slightly flustered by it, even. "She kinda... asked me for directions? It wasn't anythin' special, really. And she kinda was nice enough; no need to be too rough on her; the whole foreign country when not knowing the native language must get pretty hard..."
Truth was, she'd probably be even more lost if she found herself in England or something. Speaking of which, were they there yet? Hitting was kind of a broad word, and the teenager was curious on what they'd do once they got there.
