This very one-dimensional nature is actually created by some subtle complexities. Like Dote's ability to be a great compromiser and a subtle planner though his motivation will always be decidedly simple. He can carry out complex plans for the sole goal of his own enjoyable laze-filled days. He also realizes being loyal creates less trouble than being disloyal, but he doesn't care about to whom he is loyal. That just means the first unlucky guy around gets this lazy bastard to follow him.

The extremely flat, and one dimensional, Dote is characterized entirely by his lazy laissez-faire attitude. I used that right, probably. He's an excessively laid-back individual who enforces the status quo by never doing anything. Generally not doing anything. Most often achieving nothing of consequence. Most of the time he lazes or does what he is told with the expectation of being able to laze disruption-free later. He left his cozy cave, the only place he ever knew, and immediately wound up doing thuggish activity for some alpha digimon who pushed Dote around. He didn't feel like doing anything but going with the flow. It was easier. Then he ended up in the human world (I guess) and was alone again because that lunkhead he was with got himself deleted or something.
