The news erupts with coverage on the latest fiasco to have rocked the whole of Japan, where many distraught citizens have made reports of a large, fire-breathing dinosaur running havoc in the streets. "In a rare press conference, Tenno Industries CEO Masao Tenno has issued a public apology to the people of Japan, declaring the disaster to be the consequence of a malfunction in one of their patent holographic image projectors." One announcer would divulge to any that tuned in, having received valuable information from a reporter who attended the meeting itself. Another news outlet tells a related story. "The incident occurred sometime after the start of the annual Tenno Grand Prix, a tournament hosted for players of the popular Digi-Modify card game--" "--where the mutilated corpse of Yamishin Kenshin was discovered in one of the tower's many bathrooms. Police officials claim the killer is still at large. Among the possible suspects are--" "--Emiya Toshiro and Iwamoto Kasumi are among the names of several potential co-conspirators to the killer at large, having confessed to Masao Tenno himself via an encrypted communications channel that they had planned to deliver an armed explosive device to the tower. The bomb was intercepted and diffused safely." Wherever one is in Tokyo, there is bound to be a story playing on the television. How this affects people will, invariably, vary. Another news anchor provides the people of Japan with a solemn warning, "If you have seen these individuals, or know of someone affiliated with them, please contact the authorities immediately. They are considered extremely dangerous." "Rest assured, good people of Japan: this act of domestic terrorism will not go unnoticed!" Masao Tenno declares boldly on every screen and in every radio across the country, over the array of microphones lined up before him. "I will personally see to it that those responsible for this be made to suffer the full consequences of their actions." He stares at the screen with that distinctively cold, penetrating gaze. It is not a practiced speech, nor is it a staged facade: it is a threat to all involved. "I will hunt you down. I will find you. And I will bring you to justice." |
