[attr="class","info_text"] Solo Digimon are the second class on Unity. They begin their adventure without a Tamer, for whatever reason they may wish. They do not have access to Digivices or cards, two items that play a crucial part in Tamers' lives, thus making this option already considerably different. What they lack in versatility, however, they make up for in raw strength.

Solo Digimon tend to have many differing views on humanity. Some are indifferent to humans; others see them as a scourge. While not connected to humans like partner Digimon, they aren't incapable of befriending them -- and there have been very rare tales of Solo Digimon pairing themselves with lone humans already in possession of a D-Power. Most Solo Digimon primarily live in the Digital World, though some end up stranding themselves or even purposefully invading the human world.

Solo Digimon start out with -[break]

- One free single move (any affinity except Absolute) using 50 bytes of Rank 0 effects.[break]
- One free use of the "Special Ability" tag to first move[break]
- Rookie form gains Passive Ability I for free.[break]
- 5 additional Ability Points to be applied to all forms. Dictating these as positive values in the main body of your character sheet will apply them to ALL following forms[break][break]

[attr="class","info_text"] Solo Digimon have Ranks as well, though they aren't as well documented as Tamer Ranks. These Ranks determine what levels of Digivolution they may enter, how much data they earn from absorbing data from deleted Digimon, and what kinds of effects they can use with Ability Crafting. Solo Digimon additionally earn bonus Ability Score points for all forms (except Fresh and In-Training) based on rank.

[attr="class","info_text"] Since Solo Digimon do not have Spirit, their Digivolution duration varies greatly from that of Tamers. A solo Digimon's time in a Digivolved form is dependent on how much data (in the form of Bytes) they currently have stored. They do not spend it whilst in advanced forms -- it is simply a prerequisite. This of course means while they have more efficient methods of collecting data, they must also be more scrutinous than Tamers when it comes to conservation.

They also do not have the capability to perform Dark Digivolution. A solo Digimon can be freely good or evil based on their programming.

[attr="class","info_head"] OPTIMIZATION

[attr="class","info_text"] Whilst Solo Digimon are unable to use cards, they can access a feature called Data Optimization by altering their own coding on the fly. By using up a certain amount of Bytes, they may, for only the duration of the current thread, manifest more points into certain statistics as if they were additional Ability Score points. It costs 10 Bytes per Optimization Point, and unlike Digivolution, these Bytes are spent -- forever.[break][break]

Solo Digimon may also utilise Data Reset to completely respec all Optimizations made in a thread. Certain stages also have a 'capacity' as it were -- Rookies may not exceed 20 Optimization points, Champions may not exceed 30, and Ultimates may not exceed 40.[break][break]

[attr="class","info_text"] A solo Digimon additionally has an unknown chance of being able to absorb one of a defeated enemy's abilities (chosen at random by staff) if they are able to delete the enemy. This move is essentially a "free move" and is added to the absorbing Digimon's current form permanently.[break][break]
