the judge, jury, Well, while maybe while her collection of cards could prove to be useful when used in actual fights... but in the card game they were meant to be for? Well, it was kind of garbage. Unlike Kiritsugu, she had no way of actually evolving her Digimon in the card game. Then again, she could forgive herself for just kind of hobbling together cards that would be useful in real life, not the card game. "Ohhh gee... Maybe deck building is something I should like actually work on." She'd comment, seeing that her board was hopelessly outmatched compared to Kiritsugu's. So the lil' kid with the spider was at the tournament at some point... so that must have meant he was a tamer too? Given, they couldn't say outright they were tamers in a public environment... but it was kinda nice to know someone here was in the same boat. She had been mostly just watching the tournament at the time, at least before Charlie decided to eviscerate that one Nightmare dude. Honestly, it was a miracle at least no one else got hurt to that extent... even if Charlie did give everyone that chased after him a thrashing. As for green-haired girl... well, she didn't have too much interest frankly of trading at the moment. Duplicates though couldn't be all bad though, right? If it was a duplicate of a strong card, having multiples could be handy, whether an actual fight or even just the trading card game. "They are shields right? Maybe duplicates could be handy?" She'd reply. Because apparently four is only a crowd, a fifth was all they needed for a party. A rather well-dressed young man (though definitely older than everyone else were), an interest in cards too? Honestly, Haru was surprised there was this much love for Digi-Modify it seemed... that or maybe more tamers than she initially thought existed. Always a possibility after all. "I suppose I am? I only got into it... recently. Kinda had a turn on my opinion of Digimon as a series, you know?" The goggle-wearing girl would reply (half-truthfully), though the look on her face seemed to sour as she drew another card from her deck and glanced back at the field. As this happened, Tawna poked her head (well, body since she was mostly all head at the moment) slightly out of the bag; trying to get a better view of their surroundings.

"Probably a good idea; might actually be a fair match then." snickered the blonde, placing a few cards on his online zone. Battle phase.
The girl was still open to trading, but unfortunately, he just wasn't willing to part with anything currently in his pockets.
"Ya ain't wrong, green. You'll never need three Brave Shields in a match. They are still rares, tho. Would be better off trading them at Digi-modify dot net. Better to get something worthwhile and whatnot."
He had known Haru and Hideo both had been at the tournament, though he had only seen them at the end during the confrontation with Eagleheart. Kiritsugu Kotomine, though? He hadn't even known the date of the tournament.
"Wait, all of you knew about it? Heck, some of you actually were there? How did you guys even find out?" Playing the ignorant normie again was fun. Good, considering his current problems; he would probably have to get used to the role.
He couldn't tell if Hideo was not so subtly trying to tell him who he was or just really proud of his rare cards. Either way, he wasn't exactly sure why the boy thought he needed to signal to him; it wasn't like Toshiro couldn't recognize him at plain sight.
Either way, he wasn't about to reveal himself to the boy if he could help it. There was no way he would be dragging Hideo into his mess. Dragging Red into it was already bad enough.
"Those are... super rare, actually. Damn, kid! Does your uncle work at Bandai or something? Think he can hook me up with a few of those?" he asked as he leaned his head onto the back of his palm, rolling his gaze over the trio.
He was considering taking his leave; he had stopped to chat and mess with Haru for a little while; he hadn't intended to overstay his welcome. It was never a good idea to stay too long in the open.
Unfortunately, it would have been plain rude to leave just as tall, blonde and radiant decided to approach the group, an interesting sentence on his lips. The jab nearly flew over the former blonde's head, prodding his curiosity for a few seconds before he dismissed it.
Nah. Even if Hideo had been obvious, there was no reason for the radiant blonde man to throw a barb at the boy.
"I know that feel." Commented the former blonde, sighing. He had bought quite a few packs after his first meeting with Hideo, to no avail. No Behemoth; hell, not even the Axe Sword thing. "It seems like every pack I buy is a dud." He grumbled, propping his elbow onto the table before dropping his chin onto his awaiting palm.
"I prefer to play the game proper. Trying to make a good deck has sort of made me a collector tho, I guess."
Toshiro took the moment to examine the blonde man. Tall, handsome, seemingly wealthy. He... really didn't look like the geeky, lives in their mother's basement card collector type.
Then again, neither did Tenno.
Was Digi-modify some sort of guilty pleasure amongst the high-class or something?
"Don't look so sour, Toriya." snickered the brunette, "Let's stop for now. Wouldn't want to turn ya off from the game by trashing ya too hard." He teased, leaning back on his seat. "Jokes aside, you should probably swing by the card shop down the street. The guys there are weird for sure and have probably never spoken to a girl for longer than a few minutes in their life, but they know their cards. Should help'cha make a decent deck out of what you have available. After they are done either mocking or flirting with you anyways."

"All of my siblings go to these kinds of tournaments," he said. "I didn't really get into the game until recently, so they never invited me to come along." Which was true - he didn't get Kuki until a little while ago, so bringing him along to a place filled with tamers and digimon didn't make sense until he was one as well. "Even if I didn't get a chance to play and all that stuff happened there, I can't wait until next year's tournament!" If there was another one.
Subtle messages did have their use, but judging their effectiveness was difficult. The man Hideo suspected of being Toshiro did react to the cards he presented, but it was just in amazement over how rare they were. Nothing like "I wish I could ride something like that!" or "That looks like something only a digimon could carry!" But then again, maybe he was trying to stay secretive, even to Hideo.
His cards seemed to get a reaction from almost everyone at the table, all in amazement. But the words of one man, whose voice he didn't recognize, caught his attention. His words caused his smile to waver for just a moment - the way he worded it, it made Hideo think that he'd been showing off the wrong cards...but Kuki couldn't have made that mistake. And everyone seemed to have a genuine reaction to them due to their rarity.
It was a mistake someone who could see wouldn't make. And if he had to admit he couldn't see, then he had to explain why he was collecting these cards. Or how he knew which cards were which. Or why he went to a tournament for a game that heavily relied on sight.
He'd just need to keep playing the lie out.
When the man also acted in surprise at his cards' rarity, he breathed a small sigh of relief. He even blushed following the two men complimenting his fortune at finding such rare cards. "I didn't know they were that rare," he said. He was still at a point where any new card he could try out was an exhilarating experience to him, no matter how common they were. "I don't really have any trick to finding these kinds of cards. Guess I just got lucky, is all."
With that, he folded his cards back into his deck, which he placed right back into his pocket.
"I didn't really get into the card game until recently too. I met a new friend, and she helped get me into the whole game. She showed me how it works, and since then, even my siblings play it with me too...though they're a lot better at it than I am."
That someone being the little pink spider on his lap, who was staring directly at the Nyaromon peeking out from the girl's backpack. Watching, wondering what the furball was doing poking her head out like that. She didn't react, even as Hideo pet her on the back. Each of their reactions produced an equal amount of personal intrigue for Sterling, who almost never went out of his way to interact with the general public. No matter what came from their mouths or how it was presented, they all shared one thing in common: they were, without a doubt, the worst liars that Sterling Midas had ever laid eyes on. For starters, neither of those cards were truly rare. Hell, he had eight copies of Behemoth sitting in another portfolio back home. That all of them were willing to submit positive reviews to the schoolboy, which he ate up like yesterday's pasta carbonara, yielded further evidence of how paper thin their deception was. They want to keep telling lies? Then so shall he. " I can't exactly claim that I'm skilled at playing this game, myself," Sterling admits sheepishly, brushing the matte silver surface of his attache case. " Its mechanics don't quite fill my particular niche." He glances at the girl in goggles, beaming at her as if to show that he felt a sense of solidarity for her casual-minded outlook of the game. When the older male with terrible brow hair made mention of a card shop several meters from their current location, the golden-haired gentleman pats his card case sharply. " Or, I could help you kids save for college and give you some of mine," Sterling posits without skipping a beat, undoing the clasps of the metallic box in his hands so that he might open and spin it around for them to gaze inside. Tucked neatly inside black elastic bands, grouped together in perfect little clusters, were deck upon deck upon deck of some of the game's rarest and most powerful cards currently in production, a vast majority of which were either printed in a glossy, prismatic, or holographic foil finish. And, just like Sterling had mentioned, none of them were Behemoth or Ouryuken. " If simply taking them makes any of you feel uncomfortable, we can always trade instead." Not only was he insanely loaded, but incredibly modest to the point of excess. Most people would have turned down the opportunity to hand-pick some of the game's best cards for themselves without any strings attached. Sterling anticipated that all four of them would have far... baser inclinations. DECK CURRENTLY UNKNOWN

Toshiro Emiya @harutorya Hideo Kino Sterling Midas This guy, Kiritsugu Kotomine, this one with brown hair seemed to be a charmer as well. Shino tried her best not to roll her eyes as so many of them were around the girl with the goggles and the small boy. Though he had a good point-- using the trade network online for getting rid of them. She really didn't care about value but prefer cards she could actually use. The odds of her getting 3 of the exact same super rare card was rather odd. She was enjoying to just be around this cheery crowd, despite her wariness of suspicious folks. She preferred Haru and Hideo among the group. However, to her, the blonde pretty boy spoke up and approached them. The odd charisma he had still rubbed her the wrong way as he approached and stated he could help them regarding the money the cards involved. He then opened a chest and revealed to have a whole trove of cards. IT was of interest to Shino. He was willing to trade or even give some away so he loaded it seemed. She crossed her arms, still on guard with this perfect display he had. "Hmm... I thought something smelled stinking rich..." she grumbled in a low tone-- probably the others could hear her but directed away from the man. It depended if these cards were, in fact, useful-- and real. But if they were indeed free, then she wouldn't have much to risk even if she traded her other cards. She wasn't losing anything of major value. Still, her distrust in people made her extra cautious with this person. She wouldn't accept any kind of trade unless she was sure this was legit. For all she knew, the guy was giving out counterfeits. She just waited, and see what the other people had to say on the topic. But for her, she didn't trust this stranger.

the judge, jury, Kiritsugu seemed to take Haru's rather futile attempt at floundering in the card game as a sign that perhaps it was time to just end the game. Honestly, Haru didn't even mind more or less getting trashed... it was fun in a way still. Besides, not like she had much of an ego that would be damaged in the first place. "It's okay, I mask my insecurities and self-loathing with a smile! No point to being glum over spilled milk after all!" She'd quip, appreciating the advice towards deckbuilding... even if she was likely going to ignore it. She somewhat valued the cards in a different manner beyond actually playing the game after all. Then again, maybe it could be a new hobby? She could see herself getting good enough to join tournaments even... preferably ones without murders happening. The lil' kid apparently had some pretty rare cards according to the rather handsomely-dressed man. Seemed he was a bit of an expert at the game like Kiritsugu... though more on the game's economic side, evident by him whipping out multiple decks of cards, all of varying glosses and foiled rarities. Honestly, the girl was actually baffled at such dedication to a card game... He must have been filthy stinking rich or have inside help to be able to have so many of these cards, many which she had never even known to exist. "Holy... some of these I've never even seen before! Are some of those... just completely covered in holo foil?" She'd ask, her eyes practically beaming. The offer that the mystery man would bring up to them... honestly, Haru was just far too innocent-minded to see any problem with taking up such. She didn't really have a lot of money, so any little bit helped. You never knew if a card would save someone's life after all when you apply it into real Digimon encounters! "I wouldn't mind maybe spare duplicates you may have actually! Something to help diversify my collection would be much appreciated!" She'd reply to the offer, not seeing any actual harm in such. She'd have felt bad about trying to take something rarer or pricier, but then again... he'd not have offered such if he didn't see any harm doing so.

Well wasn't just the most depressing thing he had heard from the gogglehead yet. The blonde tilted a brow at her.
"Well, if you are okay with continuing. I'll give you the number of a good psychologist for the other issues, though."
Toshiro had no intention of going to college, but hey, Free rares!
If he had been just a card collector/player, that would have been the correct reaction, and unfortunately, that was the role he had chosen to play.
A low whistle escaped the youth's lips as his eyes slowly roamed over the rows of rare cards, the holographic finish on some of them giving them quite the nice touch.
"Well, color me both impressed and jealous." He commented, leaning his head onto the back of his palm. Green girl had nailed it right in the head; stinking rich indeed.
Now. What should he do?
He didn't know anything about this blonde person beyond what could be deduced at a glance.
And unfortunately, that wasn't much. A wealthy young man with rather eccentric habits. Was this something he usually did? Just hand out rares to random players that he may run across?
Why did he even collect these? He had just admitted he wasn't even into the game. And what kind of collector just gave away rares? You wanted to keep rare duplicates, if only to trade them for the ones you didn't have.
Toshiro had pretty much dropped the game entirely once the mechanics proved not to be to his taste, and had only gotten back into it due to Tamer business making it a necessity.
...
The young man eyed the blonde curiously, cocking his head slightly. It seemed unlikely. What were the chances of every single person in the table being a tamer? They weren't that numerous.
The fact that he knew 2 out of four them proved it. And hell, if the man were a tamer, he would have even less reasons to just hand them out cards. Right? Right. He was overthinking things.
Regardless, he would have to go with...
"Thanks for the offer, but-" He wasn't really a tournament player anymore, but this felt like cheating. Someone just comes over and hands you out all the rares? If he had actually been the tournament player he claimed to be, he would have felt dirty just for considering it...
Okay, that was all bullshit. He just found the entire thing sketchy as all hell, no matter how much he tried to tell himself that the handsome blonde man was just being philantropic, recent events had taught him that no good deed ever went unpunished. No one ever did anything for free. There was an angle here.
"I'll have to pass. I don't have anything worth these on me." That was true enough. All these trumped anything he had in his deck.
Now, all he had to do was stay silent, let this guy do whatever it was he intended to do, and hopefully he would be on his way after having suckered whoever fell for it.
...
"So we are all tamers here, I take it." Mouth. What the fuck?

The girl's words may have been in jest, but they still caught Hideo's attention. Sarcasm or not, saying stuff like that was never a good thing. If the girl had problems, she shouldn't feel shy about talking about it to someone. Even if they were complete strangers.
But as much as he wanted to say something to help, he heard the sound of something metallic being opened, combined with a simple offer from the man: that they were free to take some of the cards from within. And judging by the commentary from everyone else at the table, these were some pretty rare cards. Not that rarity mattered much to him, but that must have meant these were some pretty expensive cards.
And this guy was just giving them away, to help them with their collections?
Had he consulted Kuki on this matter, she probably would have told him to be careful about this. But she was preoccupied with watching the Nyaromon. And speaking at this point would've blown her cover in a way he couldn't cover up.
So Hideo saw no reason to refuse, even if two of the other members at the table refused. "I'll gladly accept your offer!" he beamed. Granted, he wasn't sure if he was supposed to just reach in and take a deck - something that would be rather difficult for him to do - or just ask for certain cards and he'd receive them. The only other person that accepted seemed to be going with the latter, so that's the route he'd take.
"I can't really think of any cards in particular that I'd want in particular. I'm still pretty new to this game..." He paused for a moment, wondering what he could possibly use in his deck. He had plenty of summons, plenty of attacks, and the motorcycle with the Ouryuken were good enough equipment. "...I guess I'll go for cards that make digimon better. Like making them stronger or take less damage."
But his jovial mood was disrupted when the man he suspected of being Toshiro announced something surprising: that everyone here was a tamer. Hideo's head turned straight towards the man, so he'd be staring straight at him. As far as he knew, Toshiro was familiar with digimon, but he had no idea if he was a tamer himself or was just a random guy who knew about them. Even in that battle against Eagleheart, Toshiro was there, and had ran right into the fray. Hideo might have heard him slashing a card, which was something that could only be done if you had a digivice, which only tamers had, but it was hard to tell among the countless other tamers at the time using their own cards.
And if he was right, this also meant that the guy offering them cards was also a tamer. Which meant one thing...
It would be safe for Kuki to move around without restraint.
Hideo moved Kuki up to his chest, holding the rather perplexed-looking spider in-training in his arms. "Yes," was his response to the man, "I am a tamer."

For the briefest moment, Sterling Midas can feel the serotonin coursing through his brain as every child at the table reacts with the same universal sense of wonder; even the blind boy was sharp enough to imitate his peers.
The billionaire with the golden hair lets loose a short and airy laugh; to all observing this, he found a true spark of humor in Hideo's innocent request for cards that, simply put, made his Digimon better. Grade school children were so adorable, especially when they tried to use descriptors like 'particular' with naive redundancy to sound smarter than they really were.
In the darkest pits of his own subconscious mind, however, entirely unknown to everyone, Sterling had just finished madly throwing the child's freshly-disemboweled entrails across the coffee tables and was now moving on to forcefully pluck the legs from his stupid little 'spider doll', relishing in its imaginary screams of agony with each limb that crunched like a finely cooked crustacean.
"I like you, kid. You're a fun young man," Sterling said to the youth, masterfully retaining control over his glimmering veneer of spirited amiability. He then turns to the begoggled girl whose self-deprecating sense of comedy seemed to disturb some of the other children, "And yes, you are correct! I have holographics, prismatics, and a small handful of limited edition prints in here." Just like the blind grade school kid, Sterling addresses the group with total assurance in his own decisions.
While the man of immense affluence had halfway expected the surly young woman with a minty color scheme to be the first one to refuse his offer of free rare cards, it is actually the older male with poorly dyed brown hair to pass on his offer.
But then, he presents the armor-piercing comment: were they all Tamers?
The gesture immediately captures Sterling's attention as deep ruby eyes slowly rolling over to look into his--but to do so blatantly would ruin his cover. To avoid this exact scenario, he puts on a confused expression like he would his favorite pullover sweater, wearing it to great effect the moment Hideo openly confesses his own status as one of the nebulous figures shortly afterward, lifting up the pink spider for all among them to see.
"I'm afraid you've lost me now," Sterling says, his dulcet vocal tones adopting a hint of sadness for his feigned lack of awareness."is that related to the card game? Or perhaps that animated television series?" Such a response was to be expected from a civilian that wasn't aware of the secret nature of these creatures.
Of course, these imbeciles were likely to start drawing their conclusions about his motives at any point; at least two of them were cautious enough to avoid agreeing to his earlier attempt at philanthropy, which meant they were either excessively daft or simply paranoid.
Continuing to drive his charade home, Sterling--slowly--leans over to glance at the miniature arachnid in the child's hands, even going as far as to start adding a layer of rising disbelief. "...is that really a stuffed doll?"
What if the television reports were true? Were those simply malfunctioned holograms, like Masao Tenno supposedly claimed during that press conference -- or did a Digimon actually rampage throughout Tokyo?
Play the fool too long, and the fool will play you.

Sterling Midas Haru Toriya Toshiro Emiya Hideo Kino While Shino was cautious about the blonde man's offer with all those flashy cards, she really didn't have anything to loose. Even though it was the word of a little boy's enthusiasm, for his sake, she would stick around and see what the man was packing. "I suppose if you have any field or weapon cards, I'd see what you got. I might consider trading..." she said in a half-answer. However, things took a rather interesting turn as the brown haired young man came right out and said it: Were they all Digimon Tamers? Shino froze at the question-- merely in her own motor functions as she had her arms folded across her chest. 'Idiot!' she would of screamed if she knew the person. What kind of question was that? Sure everyone was skating around the question but it took a great deal of insanity to actually admit it out in broad daylight. She had put two and two together with a while ago. She could see the small in-training cat digimon briefly, and the odd creature on the little boy's back. She was sure even if they were tamers with their digimon-- their own would have told their tamers about Commandramon hiding under the vacant table, camouflaged to blend in save for his eyes. However, while the question hung in the air, she just adjusted the collar of her jacket. She didn't say she was a tamer... but she didn't deny it either. She let her silence speak for itself. THough what they probably could of noticed hanging from the bottom of her jacket, attached to her slacks-- was the outline of her own Digivice-- colored green and hung from her rear strap. If it wasn't for the girl with the goggles and the seemingly disabled boy, she would of gotten out of there. A part of her didn't want to leave this situation just yet. Even with the Web Troopers completely neutral, she couldn't do nothing if things got ugly...

the judge, jury, Beyond everyone oooing and aaaing at the man's collection of fancy cards, Haru couldn't help but get the feeling that this man must have been someone filthy rich to have just all of these rare and valuable cards on-hand. She'd not have been surprised if that was only a small fraction of his collection... probably had the rest on some fancy private jet even. "You must be really freakin' rich to be able to just give stuff like that away like candy. I mean... I bet my mom's monthly pay couldn't afford all of those cards." She'd comment, admiring the fresh scent of riches as she actually took the time to look at some of the cards individually. Not everything wwas sunshine and flowers however as they ran into perhaps the first real big problem for today. Now, if everyone here were a tamer too... there would not have been any issue. Unfortunately that was not the case here. "Err..." She'd awkwardly mumble, actually caught off guard. Okay, that was bad. Maybe some of these people were tamers, but mister moneybags here didn't seem to be the case. "I don't know what you are talking about." She'd say somewhat forcibly deadpan, a tone that was actually rather unnatural for Haru at least. She wasn't smart... but she was surprisingly decent at weasling herself and/or others out of conversations. Attempting to think of maybe something that could change the subject... Haru blurted out the first thing on her mind. "Uhhhh... have you all heard the news recently about those people that almost bombed Tenno Towers? What's your opinion on that?"Smooth Haru. Way to begin talking shit about your friend there. She honestly didn't know Kasumi much beyond that brief little investigation team thing they did before the Charlie debacle, but she felt deep down that Toshiro was a good person. Was he enough to be considered a friend? Honestly, probably not... but that didn't matter too much to gogglehead. Maybe what he did wasn't the best choice out of his options... but he probably thought it was at the time. Sometimes you just had to have that kind of faith in people.

"Yeah, it's a fandom thing." The young man informed the blonde, looking sheepish, no further explanation given.
Rich guy was apparently a normie, which was a likely story, he supposed. Tamers weren't that common.
So, from what he gathered, Green either sucked at lying or didn't think it necessary to openly state it, Hideo was far too naive without Kuki's input, and Haru sucked at lying but was surprisingly apt at changing the subject.
A wide smile stretched over his lips. "Hoo Boy, has anyone not heard about it? Masao Tenno pretty much made the dudes public enemy number one. Honestly, what kind of dumbass bomber messages their target they are going to bomb them?"
He leaned back on his seat, looking mirthful.
"Opinion? I ain't worried. Tenno Industries is putting all its assets into catching those guys. They are as good as behind bars." He looked up, as if in thought. "I'm more about that hologram fiasco. There's something weird about those news. My aunt was driving nearby when it happened. She told me the ground trembled whenever the hologram took a step! Suspicious, ain't it?"

Whoops
It seemed like everyone else decided to stay hush about their status as tamers. The girl the man was playing the card game with outright denied it, though her act wasn't too convincing, while the other girl remained silent. And the nice guy offering them cards outright questioned what he was talking about - his confusion sounding far more genuine.
He didn't doubt Kuki's eyesight, so he was confident that the two girls were tamers. And the way the man asked about tamers made it pretty obvious he was one as well. But that still left the other guy as a non-tamer, which meant they were stuck unable to discuss digimon matters, or let their digimon walk about freely.
Which became problematic when the generous man asked if Kuki was really a stuffed animal. To which he gave a simple response: "...yes, she is." To his fortune, while she was an in-training, she was soft and squishy like a stuffed toy. Just to show off this point, he squeezed her a little, her body squishing slightly under the force. It was something he'd done to her in the past, and she had some time to brace herself, so she was able to stay still-faced under the pressure.
To his fortune, the girl who denied her tamer status changed the subject to that of the bombing incident. The whole reason why he tried to find out if this guy was Toshiro in the first place, which was still up in the air.
"It's really scary that someone brought a bomb over there," he said, exaggerating his concern as he held on to his "stuffed toy". "I was lucky that I'd left the building before that happened, so I wasn't anywhere near the thing when the Busters stopped it."
And yet, something about the whole thing didn't add up. And while it might have revealed a little more than he'd want to, he'd thought it best to tell everyone. "But there's something weird about that whole deal: I heard people screaming about a bomb a good distance away from Mister Tenno's building, in some alleyway. My sister took me away from there before I could find out anything, but they only mentioned there being one bomb. But they only talked about a single bomb on the news that was sent to the building."
"I dunno what those two guys were thinking sending the bomb somewhere else without stopping it, but I'm not sure they're the ones who planted it in the first place." He had a pretty strong guess who was the true culprit - Eagleheart. But revealing he knew that would lead to a whole other host of things to explain. "I know I wasn't the only person around when people discovered the bomb, so I don't get why they're the only ones being looked at."

To conceal the truth from Sterling, every last child at the table summons a lie of their own. This only fascinates the radiant young man even more, for now they were really playing with fire. Goggle Girl takes the approach of an arrow loosed from the bow and aims straight for the path of denial, fittingly enough. Suggesting that she ought to pay a visit to a psychiatrist (and not a psychologist, who merely studies the mind as opposed to diagnosing actual problems with it) would not only have been an utter waste of finances and time, but may lead to far more dire consequences. Would she really want to make it even worse by seeing a so-called 'professional'? It seemed as though Little Boy Blind and his older male counterpart were quite coordinated with their own answers, as the two reassured Sterling that their mention of Tamerdom -- as well as the school boy's infectiously cute pink spider -- was little more than a term related to the fan base. But why go out of your way to attach a feminine pronoun to an inanimate object, if all it was was fake? Sterling Midas felt justified in believing that this child would likely grow up to have problems of his own. " Oh, what a relief! My, I just feel silly for asking now!" Sterling laughs again, expressing nothing short of total sunniness for the children and their so-called 'sense of humor'. How he simply wanted to vomit just for saying that. He wouldn't press the issue, though. Why spoil the fun they were having playing make-believe with the only supposed non-Tamer here? Haru segues rather spontaneously into a commentary on the Tenno Towers bomb threat. Instantly, a pang of annoyance stabs into Sterling's gut like an iron spike, though it does not show on his smiling face, even as it diminishes into an expression of moderate concern for the situation. They all speak their individual pieces on the harrowing ordeal, sharing details among the rest of the group like campers trading stories -- or cards, in this particular case -- around a warm fire. Someone messages major corporate stakeholder Masao Tenno of an explosive headed for Tenno Industries, then he returns the favor by branding him and another as terrorists to be captured by his ever-loyal Shinjuku Busters. A 'hologram' rampages throughout that same segment of Tokyo, causing enough collateral damage for the same exact child Tenno had branded a criminal to openly comment on its suspicion. Glass-eyes down there just wanted to know why the economic giant was willing to jump the gun on such a fiasco and incriminate only two people. If Sterling knew any better beforehand, he would have brought some popcorn along for this show. The golden-haired businessman frowns, still holding an open briefcase full of rare cards. " I've only gotten the tail wind of the news reports, unfortunately. I was in Hong Kong attending a charity auction not too terribly long ago," he adds to the party's talks, tilting his head to face the ground for a moment to think--capturing the outline of a certain electronic apparatus on the figure of a certain girl in green--then lifting it back to face the group, his distinctive glow renewed. Mostly because he had reminded himself of just how positively lovely his new Tang-era vase was.
[ IT IS CURRENTLY KNOWN THAT... ] - Sterling Midas is quite loaded. Quite. - He is an extremely dedicated collector of cards. - He has no apparent knowledge of Digimon outside of its associated mediums. - He is unaware of the recent chain of events that have occurred. - He is paying complete attention to everything that is being said, shown, and done.

Hideo Kino Toshiro Emiya Haru Toriya Sterling Midas"You shouldn't believe everything you read on the news..." Shino replied, her voice firm but direct. Probably the first time she directly got into the conversation herself. She had not done so till now, not wanting to be too involved. But the talks about the events of late made her compelled to act. TO give into fear and doubt would be a mistake-- even if they were all tamers and knew the truth. Shino looked at them all cautiously, expressing her point of view without fear. "I don't think everything said and done-- is as what it appeared to be. Besides, from what she learned-- not even all the busters were in favor of what happened with the way Tenno handled things. It seemed more like someone covering their own ass for the sake of the general public. "If you don't question what everyone says, you never learn the whole truth... You're better off going with what you know, and not from what others say..." she said, looking to them. "Most of you seem to have good heads on your shoulders. Use them." While her advice was bittersweet, there was a kernel of truth to her words. Tough, but for their own benefit. From his hiding place, Commandramon blinked at Shino, wondering what she was thinking in openly talking to them. Her gaze returned to the super-rich man who acted like he owned the world. She bit her tongue to keep herself from blurting out her thoughts about him however... She just really disliked men like that, who thought money would get then anything and everything. Shino knew things of far more value beyond money and material gain. She grimaced at him, her muscles tensed from her restraint to not chew out his 'charitable' personality.
