The bus rocked and swayed and the kids on the bus screamed and shouted. As naturally anyone would with a bus filled with pre-teen children. The teachers and a few of the children's parents that acted as chaperones kept them in line for the most part, but everyone was excited. They were taking a long ride out of the city towards Edogawa-- to the well known Tokyo Sea life Park. An amazing aquarium filled with all kinds of attractions. Either to get out of class, or to enjoy this fascinating place, everyone was looking forward to arriving. Supposedly, it was a joint trip with other schools, so they would all be going around the same time. In the back of the bus, Rei sat there patiently with an odd, yellow 'backpack' in the shape of a stuffed animal on her lap. With a pair of headphones she had, she listened to light music lightly, her part of the bus pretty empty of people. As she looked out at the scenery from the wide glass window, she lazily swayed to the bus and the music that played... ... able to be done by Musimon himself, who sat on her lap. The little Digimon behaved-- for a change-- and kept still surrounded by the other children. But he too was excited to go on this school trip. Still, Rei had wished her mother could have come, but like always, she buried herself in her work. Her brother, being a part of an older class, wasn't involved in this trip. She saw how the chaperones interacted with their own children, and it made her a bit sad to be alone. She hugged Musimon, and tried to be happy. She was not alone and had other classmates to be with on this trip. "Everyone! Everyone," The teacher raised her voice. She stood up from her seat and clapped her hands to get their attention. "We are arriving towards the Park. Now remember the rules! You are all to be on your best behavior. You are representing your school so there will be no tolerance for any misconduct. Understood?" The class spoke in unison to them, and Rei nodded to it. She quickly took off her headset and stuffed them away as she held Musimon. From where she looked, she could already see the large glass building that rested upon the shore-area of the bay. It glistened in the sunlight, and shimmered as blue as the ocean's waters. "Okay, and remember, we will be with other schools, so be sure to remember to be courteous. You will also be given assignments to research as wel go on this trip. So remember to take notes as we go through the park." As the teacher explained the rules and assignment, Rei felt Musimon fidget in her lap. His body seemed to vibrate with the dull sound waves, but in truth was his way of being excited. "Musimon... you have to calm down." she whispered. "Sorry, Rei Chan," he whispered back, and flopped his ears for a moment. "I just am so happy to go on this trip. This will be so much fun! I get to see human world sea-life, yo." he said. Rei chuckled and snuggled Musimon more, enjoying to see him so excited. As long as he acted like a backpack, then everything should be fine. They soon pulled into the driveway of the aquarium. Slowly, the students began to climb off the bus and towards the glass doors of the building, led by their teachers and scheduels each school had. Rei soon hopped off the steps and joined the rest of her class in the main hall, where they would meet the other schools and staff of the aquarium. OOC: Rei's Cards. REI'S CARD POUCH

Field trips were a rare treat, especially for his school. Places often had to make special accommodations for them, or would force them to all stay in a single group as they were lead through.
But this field trip would play out differently from the rest. Rather than just their school being there, it would be a group of schools going. His was among the first schools to arrive at the aquarium, and they were already arranging how they'd manage such a large amount of children. Due to how his class was smaller than most others, they'd be paired off with another school. And for the first time in any of their field trips, they'd be allowed to break off and walk around on their own...so long as they were with one of the kids from the other school. And didn't wander off into other sections of the aquarium. And didn't go into any sections that were blocked off. As restrictive as it might sound to others, it was much more freedom than they were previously allowed. As he waited, he could feel something moving around inside his backpack. He'd realized on the bus ride over that Kuki snuck her way inside right before he left the house, her in-training form fitting inside with ease. He thought he'd been able to convince her to just wait for him to get back like every other day, but she told him that since this wasn't a regular day, she could get away with coming along. Which wasn't entirely wrong - his pack wouldn't just be sitting on the side for the entire day. And as long as he kept the top flap open, she could peer outside without being noticed.Still, she even managed to sneak in his digivice and some cards. As if he was going to need either of them. This was just supposed to be a harmless school trip...He listened in as the last of the schools entered the main hall. Each group shuffled inside until they each filled in a spot. He couldn't tell how many other kids there were, but the cacophony of sound made it seem like there were even more than there were students at his entire school.
They were soon silenced by their teachers and chaperones as a tour guide welcomed them all, introducing them to the aquarium and saying how they felt honored to be their host for today. They then announcing the name of each school, instructing them on which section they'd be going to first. With each name, that respective school headed over to that section until two classes were left: Hideo's and another.
It was then that the guide explained to the two schools that theirs were to be paired together, and that each of the students from Hideo's school would be paired off with someone from the other school. All information his school already gave him, but likely a refresher in case anyone forgot. They made sure to emphasize the fact that his school consisted of all blind children - fairly patronizing, but maybe that hadn't been made clear to the other school's students.
And with that, the teachers began pairing off students. It seemed like they had already chosen who'd go with who, as they read off the names of the pairs. He patiently waited until he heard a teacher announced his name. "Hideo Kino. You are to be paired with Rei Oto."
Not someone he was familiar with, but hey, always a good chance to make a new friend. He was guided over to where his partner would be today, and he wasted no time introducing him. "It's nice to meet you, Rei!" he exclaimed, putting an open hand forward to offer a handshake.

Hideo KinoThe crowd of different children and teachers made Rei nervous as she kept as close to her group as much as possible. Even from where they were, she could see the different pavilions. In a nearby tank, she could see a wide variety of fish swim around that separated the sections of the lobby like walls. The sunlight shined in easily through the glass ceiling, illuminating a great deal of the indoor areas and the other interconnected buildings. Rei held on to Musimon's ears, acting like backpack straps as she listened to her classmates, talking among the other girls casually, till the teachers spoke up and began to pair them off. She became a tad nervous, to learn they were to be partnered with children who were disabled. She wasn't sure how she going to interact with this person, and afraid of being responsible for their safety if something bad happened. However, it was in her nature to be overly concerned about these things. It was then she was paired off to someone, which caused her to jump in attention. Rei was soon faced to a young boy-- very close to her own age. He appeared shorter than Rei was (presumably) and dressed in a more tame way than Rei's more fashion-edgy attire of her large shirt and cap. As the teacher waited to see if they got along, and was awaiting Rei's welcome. She hesitated for a second, but soon gave a polite bow to him. "N-nice to meet you, Hideo." she said, but soon gasped to see the handshake. She quickly straightened up and gently shook his hand. "I'll do my best to help you out where I can." If Hideo could indeed sense by tone of voice, he could tell that Rei was on the nervous side. In truth, with the teachers expecting her to be able to give aid to a disabled child, she felt expected to be above her best behavior. She could only hope she could both enjoy the trip and not feel super stressed for keeping an eye out for boy's well being. From behind her, Musimon could sense her unease. "Rei... chill-lax," he said in a slang tone of a whisper to her. "He's a kid like you. Just be yourself," he urged. Taking a deep breath, she straightened up and looked to him. Though his eyes seemed closed, he had a kind expression on his face... one that Rei felt at ease with as well. "Um, I hope we get along well," she added, rubbing the back of her neck.

Awkward moments were an unfortunately common thing whenever Hideo met a person for the first time. Most people didn't know how to react, and some would just be flat-out too uncomfortable to do anything other than excuse themselves. While he had been pretty lucky in the past few weeks, that luck wouldn't last forever.
Hideo's hand hung out for a moment, even as the girl awkwardly said hello to him. He was about to take his hand back when the girl grabbed it, gently shaking it. It her grip was very light, as if she were afraid he'd break if she was too rough, and she definitely sounded like she was uncomfortable. As much as he just wanted to tell her to act natural, that would no doubt embarrass her. He'd just have to be subtle about it.
"I promise I won't be that hard to help!" he said, a cheerful smile shining bright. "I'm sure we'll get along just fine."
For a moment, he could have sworn he heard someone address her by name, but it was hard to tell among the chatter from the other students. And then the guide announced their first destination - a stingray exhibit, where they'd be allowed to touch them as they glided through the water. The perfect kind of exhibit for those that were more reliant on tactile stimulation, but still something any kid would enjoy.
The walk over was fairly straightforward: although a decent number of the children in their group were blind, special strips on the ground helped make sure they were walking in the right direction, though that didn't stop the parents, chaperones, and more concerned partners from helping guide them around.
While Rei probably wouldn't notice, Musimon could potentially see the little pink spider just barely poking its head out of Hideo's backpack, staring directly at the yellow digimon. While Hideo may not have caught on to there being another digimon in the area (let alone how it was hanging on to his partner's back), she had. But she would soon retreat back inside before anyone else could spot her.
In a few minutes, they'd reach their destination: a rather large albeit shallow pool where stingrays were floating around freely. Railings were in place to keep and particularly rambunctious children from falling in, but still giving them enough space to reach on top of the water. They'd all get a pre-practiced speech about these creatures, on how they lived, what they ate, how many were out in the wild, and so on.
But it was obvious what most of the kids wanted to do. And they were soon prompted to do so.
Hideo reached into the water, his hand just barely going past the surface of the lukewarm water. "Hey Rei?" Hideo asked, "You mind helping me find one of the stingrays? It's kinda hard for me to find where it is. You can move my arm around if you want." Rei Oto » made by wizz

Hideo Kino Rei was a bit surprised how easy going her new partner, Hideo was very easy going and it put Rei a bit more at ease-- a little more than Musimon. Still, Rei intended to take her responsibility seriously to make sure Hideo was okay. She took his hand and led him along with the rest of the class. All the while, Musimon watched quietly-- for the time being, happy to see Rei relax a bit. She made sure to keep her grip on him as gentle as possible, but she also didn't let go so to guide the blind boy. She had no clue that the spider hid in her backpack could direct him too. As they approached the mantaray section, she listened to the information about them and how they lived. She found it facinating more than her other peers and soon they were directed to touch them. On this, Rei hesitated. She knew what the singers would do if they hit her and she wasn't too keen to touch them herself. However, Hideo wanted to. She said nothing at first, but then swallowed her fear and took his hand. "Um, okay... sure," she said. Finding a close one, she held Hideo by the wrist and guided his open hand to one of the stingrays. "Don't worry, Rei..." Musimon whispered, "Just think of them like Jellyfish." "Jellyfish sting worse, Musimon..." she whispered sharply back to him on her back. She turned back to Hideo and saw as the nearest one got close. "There, just move your arm down... there you go," she said and saw the fish make contact with his hand, which would feel very smooth like watery rubber. From Rei's back, Musimon looked around in amusement-- till he soon saw a bump on Hideo's backpack peek out. It soon became clear to him that the object out of his backpack was some kind of creature as well. Musimon blinked at it, but didn't say a word. Still, the more he looked at it, the more sure he was. "Rei... Rei..." he whispered, trying to get her attention-- but she didn't listen immediately. "You really should see this... um,, maybe not ... " Little did Hideo know, Rei was afraid of spiders. First sight of the little spider Digimon in his backpack might very well give her a small fight.

With Rei's hands-on guidance, Hideo was able to find one of the stingrays. It glided through the water, and with some help, he was able to brush against its back with his hand. He giggled a little as he felt the smooth, yet rough skin of the sea creature as it tried to swim through as if it wasn't being watched by dozens of kids, or as if there weren't dozens of hands waiting to touch it next.
For a moment, he gave into the temptation of seeing just how tough this stingray's skin was. Just as his finger pressed down, he could hear a deadpan voice just as clear as if it were right next to him: "She's got a digimon with her."
He wasn't sure if it was the abruptness of hearing her voice, or what she said to him that made him recoil. It was timed just as the stingray bolted, evidently irritated by his small use of force. It might have been a good cover for his genuine surprise. He thought she only had this ability as a rookie - the one that let him sense the same things she did, and visa-versa. It worked as a very effective (and secretive) way of communicating with each other over distances, since it worked even if they were just hearing their own voices.
That way, he could hear her clearly, while his bag would muffle her enough that nobody would know what she was saying - or at all, unless they were very, very close. The only possible hint that she was there was the lump in his bag that occasionally moved on its own - something else they'd need to be close to see. "He's at least trying to stay discreet. But it might help if he would be quiet - I know you heard him."
She did have a point: while Rei was guiding him along, he swore he heard someone else addressing her by name. He had just passed it off as another student talking to her, but if it was actually another digimon...well, he better hope he could maintain his cover.
He then realized it had been some time since he said or did anything, which was bound to make anyone uncomfortable, especially after his little overreaction. And no doubt bound to make his partner feel awkward.
"I didn't expect him to swim away so quick like that!" he exclaimed, a smile on his face. "And he felt pretty tough! I was told they were like sea pancakes, so I thought they'd be soft like ones too!" A small joke, to lighten what he expected was an uneasy mood. "Do they actually look like swimming pancakes?" Hideo Kino Rei saw his reaction upon pushing the Stingray a bit and his pull of his hand back. She let him go to do so, not keeping in place. His expression of them as Pancakes were a funny one to her. "Um... I guess they do, though they are shaped sort of like triangles..., you know three equal sided shape." she tried to explain to the blind boy. Describing the shape of a stingray was a strange concept for her, but she did the best she could. Musimon could tell Rei was serious in her concentration for Hideo's care so he didn't speak up further... at least for now. The little Digimon kept an eye on the backpack of the blind boy for now, tempted to try and see the creature he saw again. If he saw it again, he would elbow Rei if he had to. Still, he behaved and pretended to be a stuffed-animal backpack. The class was soon guided to the next display, a large glowing tank full of didfferent colored lights. With it, jellifish floated around the tanks in tubes that gently moved them along. Rei knew that Jellifish were far more dangerous than stingrays, but they still were interesting to look at from the point of the colors that glowed along the tanks. Though for a more visual crowd, she tried to discribe the scene to him... but it was making her wonder, had Hideo ever been able to see at all or was he born blind? Such thoughts made Rei sad, the empathy of the situation weighing on her heart as she held his hand. She couldn't imagine going through life without seeing. Half of the world gone to one's point of view. The soft sniffle of her tears escaped her but she quickly dried it up, trying to keep her attitude as positive as possible. What they soon heard was more audio-- but the sound of happy seals. They soon approached a series of interlinked tanks with the path they were on that looped around through clear glass walls to see the seals underwater-- and bridges from above. A man would feed the seals using fish from a pale. Musimon's ears twitched-- which was what Rei was using for 'backpack' straps, loving the sound of the barking seals. As they would pass the window, he would eye the seals, amused how they swam around. He loved to swim with them, reminding him of the Gomamon who loved to listen to his music. "Oooooh..." Musimon hummed.

"Triangular pancakes?" he joked, forming a triangle shape with his fingers. "Like this, right?". Even if he couldn't see, shapes weren't solely a visual element: he learned about shapes like that at the same age as most kids - he just thought of it through touch rather than by sight.
But their time with the swimming triangular pancakes would come to a close as their guide announced they'd be heading off to a new area. As he turned to get in line, he could feel Kuki crawl up through his bag until she was peeking out through the side - carefully of course, since she would have to be discreet enough not to warn others of her presence. Just so she could catch a quick glimpse of the Stingrays before they left.
And it only filled her with disappointment when she realized no, they didn't actually look like swimming sea pancakes. But rather than retreat inside his bag again, she'd keep watch: both so she could keep watching everything they passed by, while also keeping an eye on the Musimon. It looked like he took notice to her as well, and the two would no doubt meet eye-to-eye, but as long as neither acted on anything, they could maintain their cover. Hopefully the other digimon would realize that as well.
They found their way to another exhibit - this time, with jellyfish swimming through tubes as opposed to a massive tank, as Rei described them. Though for a moment, she sounded kind of...sad? He could hear her sniffle a little as her voice wavered. He wasn't sure what she was getting worked up about, but maybe he could try making her feel better.
"So they're like hamsters running through tubes?" he asked, trying to make her think of soft, small, fuzzy creatures. Something the could be comforting. But just in case, he had a related story to share. "I remember going through something like that when I was real little. One of my brothers guided me to it, and promised to guide me through it. But I lost track of where he was, so I had to wander around it on my own for I dunno how long. Even though I got scared, it was still kinda fun, though my parents wouldn't let me go into one of those again."
Maybe that'd work. At least it got Kuki to laugh a little.
Their next destination, Hideo heard before they actually reached: barking noises. He heard about these before: seals. Fat furry finned mammals that swam around and ate lots of fish. He practically lit up when the tour guide promised that if they had enough time, they'd be able to get a closer look at the seals in a stadium.
Kuki looked upon one of the seals, who seemed to be looking right at Hideo. This one seemed different than the others...but she couldn't really put a finger on what it was. The two locked eyes and stared at each other in silence until the seal made its move, moving forward as if it were to bust right through the glass over to her. It was enough to scare her, making her retreat back into Hideo's bag once again.
The seal, with a rather satisfied grin, swam away.
Hideo could feel her scurry about to safety. Really, he wished that she would be a little more discreet - just because she was hidden from view didn't mean people might not notice his bag shifting around on its own. Rei Oto » made by wizz

Hideo Kino Rei's feelings were distracted by Hideo mentioning the hamster stuff. It made her feel a little better, but it seemed mean that an older brother would do that. "That's terrible. I can't believe your brother would do that, but I guess you liked the challenge?" she asked, and gave a small sigh. "If my older brother did something that mean to be, I'd kick him in the shin." she said. Musimon gave a soft chuckle at the memory of how Rei and Ryuji would interact and argue. It was funny how the little sister would end up showing up the big brother at times. While they were at the tanks with the seals, both Musimon and the spider Digimon were curious by them. As one of the seals looked at Musimon, with no one else looking, Musimon sneeked a wave from one of his normal arms However, while Hideo and his spider was careful-- Rei caught a glimpse of movement from the corner of her eye. "Huh?" she gasped, and looked to his bag. "Um... did your bag move?" she asked, now growing more alert of the fact Hideo was not alone. While the view and sounds of the playing seals distracted many of the students and teachers, it would allow the Digimon to be a bit more playful and known. Musimon rolled his eyes, knowing what would happen when Rei would catch sight of the spider.

Rei's reaction to the story earned a giggle from Hideo. His parents had a similar reaction when they found out Kara left him there. "I wouldn't want to kick my brother at all! I know he would've come back for me eventually. He always comes back when he leaves me somewhere, even when he didn't say where he was going."
But his bit of humor was short-lived when Rei pointed out that his bag was moving, at around the same time he felt Kuki retreat into his bag. Ooh boy. Not good. He had no idea how much movement she saw, or if he actually saw the in-training before she went into hiding. Even if she had a digimon of her own, revealing his own now might draw attention from everyone else.
Besides, someone else might have overheard her say that. And he did have a backup plan just in case something like this happened.
"Really?" he asked, swinging his bag over to his front. "Must have been my cane. I keep it folded up in here sometimes, just in case I need it." He reached into his pack, taking out the very cane he spoke of, folded into 3 segments. "It's not that heavy, but I guess it's enough that if someone saw it shift around, they might think my bag was moving on its own!"
He placed the cane back in his bag (careful not to place it over Kuki, who did her best to stay out of its way) and put his bag back on, still leaving it open for whenever his partner would want to peek out again. Though hopefully, she'd be more careful next time. Nobody else seemed to say anything about it, so he seemed fine for now.
Their next destination would be a massive aquarium, filled with a countless number of sealife ranging from small fish to stingrays to massive turtles swimming freely as if they were in the ocean, as if they weren't in a massive glass case for people to gawk at. The guide gave them an explanation about how many different species lived through the ocean, how there were new species being discovered every day, and so on. All of which Hideo and Kuki listened to (the latter hearing it through the former).
Though one of the fish would seem to focus on Rei, though mainly focusing on the Musimon on her back. It was an odd fish, shaped more like a tadpole with two large legs in front and two smaller ones in the back. And abnormally-large teeth that stuck out in front of its mouth. But the moment either of them took notice, the odd fish would swim away...though it would keep watch of them from a distance. Rei Oto » made by wizz

Hideo Kino Rei regarded what he said regarding his cane with a hum. She nodded-- but her face still had a look of uncertainty. Thankfully with him being blind, he couldn't read her facial expression. Musimon vibrated a bit against her back-- more due to him wishing to tell her that it was his Digimon, but he had to keep his mouth shut. Something so hard for the little guy to do when his superpower was musical mayhem to be loud and proud. As they made their way to the other new tank-- showing a mix of different of aquatic life. One seemed odd to both Rei and Musimon, a tadpole-like creature that swam around. This one was oddly bigger than anything in the tank for its size. Something was odd to her. She kept getting this odd feeling of something out of place. However, it was then that Musimon couldn't contain himself anymore. With everyone focused on the tank, Musimon eased his ears from Rei's back... and slipped off of her. He landed with a soft plop of his feet and quietly snuck around the group of children and out of sight from the adults. Unable to resist the urge to move around-- and investigate the clear sense of Digimon around, he crept around to the 'staff only' door-- which led to the stairs that led up to the observation platform of the tank. Because the welcomed relief of having weight off her shoulders, Rei didn't notice him immediately. She was watching a pair of sea turtles float around, enjoying the beautiful view of them swimming freely. "Wow now the sea turtles look like pancakes. But they are so cute in their own way I just want to snuggle them. They have it so rough too..." she said, pitying that sea turtles were endangered for how they needed to survive such rough conditions. She felt a bit more relieved... but not aware yet that Musimon had left. What would that mischevious little rabbit be up to?

She seemed to buy his little excuse, answering with no more than a hum. As far as Hideo could tell, he wasn't going to have that problem again - he could just blame any further movement as his cane shifting around. Barring Kuki outright being spotted, they were fine.
As such, he was able to walk around without any interruptions. The sound of flowing water could just barely be heard underneath the cacophony of dozens of schoolchildren either gawking at the sea-life or trying to describe them to the children they were accompanying. All neat descriptions, even if they described them in terms a blind person couldn't understand, like what colors they were or that they were adorable. Not that it stopped the kids from pretending the descriptions made sense.
But one description caught both Hideo's and Kuki's attention: a big tadpole with short, stubby legs and large teeth sticking out of its mouth. The boy just wrote it off in his mind as a strange-looking fish, but his digimon had a different idea. "Hideo," he heard her say, just as clearly as before, "I need to see what fish they're talking about. I think it might be a digimon."
"Really?" Hideo asked quietly, confidant that Rei wouldn't hear him among the other children. Was there really another digimon at the aquarium? Not like it would be hard to hide among all the fish here. "Alright, let me give you a better look."
He swung around to face Rei, his backpack pointing right towards the aquarium, giving Kuki the perfect chance to peek out and find the creature. "Even the turtles look like pancakes?" he asked, "Guess they really must have a tough time out there. They don't have stingers like sting rays, so anything that wants to eat pancakes might think they're an easy target!"
"Yeah," Kuki mused as she hit back in his bag, careful not to move around too much, "But I don't think a lot of fish want to break through a shell to eat a pancake. Anyways, looks like our mystery tadpole probably is a digimon. Which means now we got two digimon walking around on their own."
...wait a minute. Two wandering digimon? The only two other digimon out here were that mystery tadpole and Rei's digimon. Would Rei really let her partner wander around like that? That was super-risky, even if they had this much cover around them. And the only way he'd be able to confirm that was to ask her directly.
Not much point in pretending he didn't know about her partner. It was loud enough anyways, so he didn't risk a non-tamer overhearing and finding out about digimon.
"Rei?" he began, keeping his voice down, "You're a digimon tamer too, right? Do you know where your partner is?" Rei Oto » made by wizz

Rei kept close to the tank to see what was going on. She saw that Hideo turned around, but she tried to keep a good eye on him al the same while watching the tank. However, she grew too comfortable to question that Musimon was gone... and not just yet...
... back at the staff only part. Musimon looked behind corners to see that the place was completely clear of adults. He snuck up to the bridge that ran over the tank and looked down. From there, he could see all the different fish, coral, rocks and the creatures there. He saw the Otamamon too swim around. Still, finally, he found the one he wanted... the sea turtles swimming around.
"Hi there..." Musimon whistled at the turtle. He tried to get its attention and the turtles eyes glanced up at him breafly, before taking a breath of air and dunking back under. Musimon slipped under the railing and hung over the tank, using his ears to hang onto the rail. "Hey wait! Do you know Gomamon? Hey, I'm talking to you---- whoh!! "
SPLASH.
Musimon recklessly lost his grip from hanging on the railing-- leaning too far over. He dunked right into the tank with a splash.
It was around this time Rei felt too comfortable and soon felt her friend lean in close. "You're a digimon tamer too, right?" he asked. Immediately, Rei flinched, her body suddenly rigid with shock. "Huh? WHat?" she squeaked, looking to Hideo.
How could he know? OF all people-- especially with him blind, how could he know?! She was speechless to what to say, unsure if he was even blind if he figured it out-- but that was when it happened.
"Hey! Look at that thing! Its so cute! What is it?" another student said, pointing to the tank.
"Is it some kind of jellyfish or water mammel?" another asked.
"Naw! Its a sea-monkey by the looks of it."
"Stupid, there is no such thing as sea-monkies!"
Startled, Rei looked to the tank. Among the multitude of other creatures, what she saw startled her. Hanging on to the back of one of the sea turtles, swimming leisurely in laps, was a certain yellow creature smiling as it floated along with his friend-- his large ears flapping as if it was swimming as well. Luckily, many of the adults didn't see it-- but some students did. Rei, of course, grew a horrified look of surprise.
"MUSIMON!" she shrieked. She looked around, realizing she couldn't leave Hideo on his own. Let alone she was still reeling from his accusation she was a tamer too. With everyone distracted by the tank a bit, she gently pulled him along till they got out of the group, and up against a nearby wall near the staff only entrance. "Um... excuse me, just wait here for a minute please! " she begged, and placed his hand on the wall. With that, she quickly ran off and went right into the door Musimon did.
Rei climbed up the tank to the railing as before-- luckily no one from the tank could see her from up there. Leaning over, she tried to see Musimon, but everything was a blur. "Musimon?" she called out, but no answer. "Musimon! Get out here! I know you can hear me with those big ears!"
There was a small pause-- then came a splash as something emerged. The sea turtle reared up, and Musimon on his back. "Rei-chan! Lookie! I made a new friend!" he said with glee, smiling all the while.
Rei's face was red with embarrassment and shame that Musimon did something so foolish. "Musimon! You know better than that! Now get out of there right now!" she scolded.
It was then another thing emerged from the water-- the Otamamon, in fact a real digimon. "THat's why. Besides, Rei, I had to see this. Say hi, Otamamon," Musimon added, patting his sea turtle friend as he ducked lower once more.
