Act like he wasn't wanted all over the city for a crime he didn't commit. Go out, eat some ice cream, be back to the motel before any of Tenno's goons could take notice of him. Well, at least he had managed one part. Unfortunately, he would have been better off dealing with a platoon of busters than having to deal with this hunter. Now Starmon had been forced to make his debut in what was essentially a public space. If they had kept the fight entirely on the roof, maybe it wouldn't have been so bad. But his partner just had to start shouting and turn himself into a damn beacon. Now just about everyone knew that there was something going down up in the roof. At least it seemed to be working in intimidating the Hunter, who seemed to be backing away. Would he finally leave? "Has the rush of the hunt abandoned you in the face of a real opponent, hunter? You should have known that even prey fights when cornered!" Thundered the mutant digimon as he stomped towards the human with narrowed eyes. The human, in turn, jumped. "Wait, Don't!" Toshiro reflexively shouted, holding his arm towards the man uselessly. The boom of the explosion caused by the soaring partner of the hunter was not expected at all. Toshiro yelped, reflexively leaping down from his perch and stumbling onto the roof, glancing back in shock. Well, he was feeling dumb. Of course the man wouldn't simply choose suicide. He felt he was a bit justified in thinking so, however. People under the effect of Starmon's light tended to act... weird. The explosion caused by the digimon partner had caused a commotion in the crowds down below. Toshiro wound his hood tightly around his face, gulping. Who knew how much longer they had before the authorities, the News teams and whoever else felt like coming finally arrived. He didn't want to be caught on the news again, he was trying to clear his name! "Ah, the digimon partner finally arrives!" Boomed the Starmon, his voice resounding over the screaming of the masses below. The sound alone seemed to prompt yet another round of screams from them, though... this sounded not scared, but adoring? It was the sort of screaming heard at concert, adoring fans all clamoring just to get closer to the star of the show. These people shouldn't have even known who Starmon was, let alone what it was. There was clearly something unnatural about the digimon's radiance. "Though I find your partner's actions against mine most wicked and despicable, I respect and understand your dedication towards him!!" He boomed, taking yet another dynamic pose. "Let us clash in this stage, as warriors!" "Actually, how about we don't that." Suggested Toshiro bluntly, trying to tighten the hood around his face while looking around quickly for the first police or News Helicopter to pop into the scene. "If we stick around for any longer, the News crews, Tenno's shitlords, the friggin police, they all will catch up to us. We gotta leave." The young man slashed yet another card, this one sending a rush of energy through his partner. "Do your thing, and let's just go." Starmon stared silently (for once) at his partner, the clear (for Toshiro anyways) distress in his partner's words and tired features making the Starmon sigh. Starmon suddenly pointed at Monitamon, his scarf flapping dramatically. "This shant be the last time we meet, warrior. May the next time we clash lead to a glorious battle!" He declared, before his pointing finger slowly rose skyward, his thumb moving over it. The snap of his fingers thundered in the night, drowning out the screams of the crowd below sending a wave throughout the entire block, washing over the humans and the tamer-digimon duo. Their vision seemed to go absolutely blank, their hearing suddenly dull as if their heads had been shoved underwater, disorienting them from what was going on around them. All, except for Monitamon. For the crowd, it was as if the last few minutes had never happened. For Nero, it was as if the entirety of the events that had led him to this location had been whipped away. One second, he was turning around a corner to find a target, the next, he was running through a crowd, no idea of how he had gotten there. Toshiro and Starmon had all but disappeared, Starmon's boosted speed allowing him to whisk his partner away into the night, the memory erasing wave effectively serving as something of a flashbang to mask their escape. What was left was a confused crowd, the burning roof of a building, and the slowly arriving authorities, too late to find what they were seeking.
