[attr="class","info_num"] 01. | [attr="class","info_head"] CUSTOM DIGIMON |
[attr="class","info_text"] Finding that there is a niche not easily filled by existing Digimon? Or do you want to give your character something a bit more signature? Custom Digimon may be the answer you are looking for![break][break]
A Custom Digimon is simply that... a non canon Digimon of your own devising! Whether it be merely a recolor or a full-fledged custom design, only your imagination is the limit for custom Digimon! At "Digimon Unity", we allow players to, if they so desire, to create their own Digimon for their evolution lines and use them just like any other canon Digimon.[break][break]
However, we understand though that such an aggressive freedom of creativity must be properly regulated. We wish to keep "Digimon Unity" a high-quality site, so there are a few guidelines that must be followed if you want to do a custom Digimon:[break][break]
RULE 1. Custom Digimon must be treated like any other Digimon for player use. They are no weaker or stronger, so keep that in mind. They follow the typical rules associated with Digimon in general, so don't treat them any differently!
[break][break]
RULE 2. Custom Digimon require either a written description or an image (whether drawn or derived from existing media).
[break][break]
RULE 3. Custom Digimon (if an image is provided) must at least look like they could pass as a Digimon. If staff do not find that it fits with the overall nature or theming of Digimon, we will ask for you to change it.
[break][break]
If you find yourself attempting to make a custom Digimon, consider the following tips:
[break][break]
- Look at existing Digimon designs to help give you a judge on what could be classified as a Digimon! If you can look at an image or description and think to yourself "this could fly as a Digimon", then you are likely on the right track!
[break]- If there is an existing Digimon that could fill in the niche you are aiming for, consider merely using them instead! You can mix canon and custom Digimon!
[break]- Ask for opinions first! If you aren't sure something could pass for a Digimon, ask staff on chat to get an answer! Staff may be able to help.
