A few years ago, the world first learned of the Digimon after the D-Reaper incident. Once the D-Reaper program had been defeated, however, the portals between the two worlds closed and the world soon forgot about the Digimon. Now,
some time later, the Digimon have begun to appear to humans again. For what reason have they returned?
Most humans still have yet to learn about the Digimons' reappearance, but those who do and manage to form bonds with a Digimon hear a mysterious voice in their heads. This voice calls itself, "Homeostasis", and gives them strange items known as "Digitizers". Before it fades away, it tells them one last thing.
"I hope you will be the key to both worlds' salvation..."
