ACE DEFECTIVES [Haru/Invite]

Toshiro heard steps coming from behind him, and rather carefully turned his head towards them. He didn't quite have the full range of his vision, his hoodie doing a great job of limiting his peripheral view.

He had to be careful to not let anyone sneak up on him, though. He would rather not be the next victim.

He found himself staring at someone he did not recognize at all. "... Yo." He returned blandly. After a second or so, his mind connected the dots; this was the person who had randomly PM'd him. He had been on his way there already, and though he found the offer suspicious, agreed to meet with this person and investigate together.

She was what some would call a looker, he supposed. He didn't know if she genuinely cared about the case for whatever reason or was simply like him and seeking entertainment.

He didn't get to exchange any other words with the girl before yet another set of steps approached them. The hooded blonde turned just enough to be able to catch a glimpse from the figure from the corner of his vision, before sighing tiredly.

"And she calls me a Stalker." He grumbled under his breath, rolling his eyes shortly before the Mirrormon spoke up.

Toshiro was honest.

"No. Just got here like 5 minutes ago." He responded in an amicable enough tone.

"My belief is that Daichi Kumo did the act, but I haven't ventured into the crime scene, so it's really just an assumption based upon another assumption." The second assumption being, of course, that the information shared by the user going by the name of 'Mimi' was, in fact, correct or not a lie/fabrication.

"I'll probably disrupt the crime scene with footprints on the blood if I step in there." He stared at the obvious lack of legs from the floating Digimon. "You'll probably not have that issue."

"Something like that." Replied Toshiro vaguely. He wasn't about to start explanining the complex and carefully crafted dynamics of his and Red's relationship to a newcomer like Naoko. That required pie charts, timelines and an advanced understanding of adolescent mating rituals.

"Pleasure, Naoko. I'm Yellow." He supplied quickly enough. He then responded. "The assumption that the information leaked about him onto the tamer chat was true. Apparently he is a government agent who killed a man in broad daylight. A tamer hunter too, or so said the information anyways."

Red brought valid points. He decided to tackle them all one at a time.

"No, it's really just my first guess. Since I've nothing else to go on yet." He closed his eyes, tilting his head slightly.

"It's true, not really something a government agent would do if they want to be subtle. But this guy killed a man in broad daylight, in Tokyo's political and economical hub. Or so we were told anyways. The man is clearly not subtle. Or perhaps smart."

"Or, he is confident in the government's ability to cover up anything he does. Either way, the kid really wasn't important. So I guess that's where this line of thought falls apart."

They had covered a daylight murder at the center of Tokyo. If they could do such a thing, covering for the murder of a single young man in a clandestine gathering within the Buster tower wouldn't be too hard. Specially since Tenno would likely be doing everything in his power to keep it from becoming public news.

"Unless... Huh. I wonder if the government may actually be trying to make this particular murder reach the media." That would certainly put Tenno Industries on a bad spotlight, and put one of the tamer gangs at heavy risk.

A sudden voice spoke up behind them, familiar enough to the blonde to make him turn to get a good look.

Oh, Gogglehead and the angry dog.

"I see you are still a ray of sunshine, doggy. Yo, Gogglehead." He proceeded to respond completely straight faced. "Playing Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Gang. I'm Shaggy, who are you?"

The blonde took a pause to take stock of what everyone else had said, their suggestions, their counterpoints. 

"We can't really guess why Kenshin was the victim until we can determine what this person was trying to achieve." He finally said. "And we are really getting ahead of ourselves with all this guesses. The reasons could literally be anything, and we are wasting time just guessing without any hard evidence."

It sounded really obvious, naturally, but he felt it needed to be said, since everyone, himself included, was hurrying towards conclusions with no real evidence to back them up. 

"Let's forget about the possible murderers and focus on finding evidence, see if it leads us to someone. For the sake of hard evidence, we'll have to actually venture in there and figure this out, obviously." He said, sounding slightly more grim than his usually placid, bland self.

For all the casualness with which he treated the murder of Kenshin, he frankly didn't want to actually look at the carnage from up close.

But he was the one who offered the course of action, so he figured it was best if he put his money where his mouth was and stepped in first.

He stepped towards the blood caked bathroom, crossing past the doorway and taking careful steps around the non-bloodstained tiles.

He carefully scanned the area.
